We do NOT recommend Greentree AC for any duct work install/repair based on our experience. (Maintenance cleaning and new AC install is fine.) We approached Greentree AC several years ago and asked if they could help us with a problem. There was a severe imbalance in the AC with the primary bedroom and the bath and the office (too hot). They said we needed new duct work (in a specific area) to fix it. We asked many times if they were experts in duct work and would they be able to fix. We asked if they would be relying on a duct work engineer before doing. We were assured that they would fix it. They did not. Right now the AC is set on 73 and the entrance to the primary and the bath read 80 degrees. We called back several times and different people came out including the owner and his son but nothing was fixed. One repair person turned a return into a supply vent such that two supply vents feed the office. Their employee did not initially tell us what he was doing. The office is now freezing but the primary entrance and bath are a sauna and most of the time reads 5-6 degrees hotter than the bedroom. Speaking to the owner, he wished us well but said "We did what we could." Well, it did not work at all. read more

I can't say enough about my experience!! My A/C died Saturday morning and by evening I had a tech out that helped me make an educated decision about what to do. They explained several options, answered all my questions, and didn't pressure me at all. I decided on a new system install. Before he left, he even setup a room cooler to tide me over the weekend and the beginning of the week. Instead of having to wait until Monday for the office to open, I actually got a message Sunday afternoon that they could install the new system Monday. They didn't even have a problem with me asking for the install to start at 10am instead of the 9am that they normally would do. Made a world of difference for last minute work changes!! Thank you for being accommodating!! The install went great today!! The guys were prompt, polite, friendly, and I could feel that they took pride in doing quality work. My A/c died and I called for a quote, CJ came out that day. His Quote was the best of the 3 that I requested. CJ was very knowledgeable and gave me 3 choices of units. I made my choice and It was installed the next day! I was truly impressed with the installers. They were personable and worked quietly and neatly. I was also able to get a payment agreement that was interest free if paid within 18 months! Excellent offer for this type of expense. I called this company to obtain 3 simple parts for my Trane A/C. Trane forced me to contact them when I tried to order the parts. I already knew what was needed. This company forced me into a $95 service call and then told me I needed the exact same three parts I requested in the first place and wanted an additional $600 and wouldn't apply the $95 to that. I didn't object to labor, just that the parts should be covered under the 10 year parts Warranty. I previously told them the required three parts on the phone they led me to believe that they could get them installed under Warranty because the system is only 6 years old. They represent one of the worst A/C Manufacturers in the HVAC business. What was learned? NEVER buy a TRANE. Terrible Warranty policies. Can't buy parts. Inferior Maunfacturing. If you want a Trane, spell it as Train and take the Brightline Train to anywhere without a Trane Air Conditioning System. read more

After seven years of living in my condo with improper cooling due to old inefficient ductwork, I can now sleep with my bedroom door closed and not have the room become a sauna while the rest of the place is a freezer. From the initial inspection and consultation, installation crew, and follow up to adjust and correct issues (came back out over the next couple days to fine tune and make additional recommendations for improvement). My regular A/C company was too busy to respond to my emergency. Called Chad at Greentree, and they were there within 3 hours. The Workman was very polite and professional, he blew out the lines and tested Freon, A/C working and they left and charged exactly what was quoted on the phone. At 8pm, we experienced the same problem as we did earlier in the day. We called Chad at 9:00pm, he said he would come at 10:30 pm, and showed up exactly when he said he would. He diagnosed the problem, made necessary repairs. Told us no charge and left. This company is very professional and reputable, and we will be using them from now on, and will highly recommend. A friend recommended Green Tree. Chad is super knowledgable and I feel he is extremely trustworthy. You know how sometimes you can't tell if you're being ripped off? Chad came straight away when we needed him. He did a lot of work. The company thst originally installed made a mess. Chad reinstalled. Cleaned. And sanitized the whole unit. I even had a small issue once and he talked me through it instead of having to have him come out to the house Now he does regular maintenance on our unit! He's our guy from now on! The reason for the 1 star is that my ac went out on News Year Eve. They came out and let.me know I would need to replace a part in the outside unti. So the company brand to order the part was closed until the Tuesday after New Years. Today I call, Friday 4 days later and they still have not ordered the part. The price was steep but I needed air in my home and the warranty part was 5 to 7 bus days to ship. So I waited a week and they had still not ordered the part. They admitted to dropping the ball. I would jot recommend since I don't want to have to micromanage someone I am paying to. order a part. I also had a signed contact that they wanted to add an additional $200 to last minute for shipping cost. At this point I was done I cancelled everything and we parted ways. I would rather start over and find another company then deal with staff that drop the ball. read more

GreenTree AC was great. I was able to get someone on the phone in a panic at 5:45 PM on a Saturday. We were out of town when we got the call from a friend who was staying at our house babysitting the dogs when our AC Unit completely shut down. I called Greentree and got Janelle. I have been using this company for the past few years for maintaining my 13.5 yr old Rheem Central A/C system. Chad runs a tight and efficient ship and has always been fair with his services. So when it was time to get a new system it was a no brainer that I would use Greentree. I talked to Chad on Wed at 6pm that I wanted to schedule a new install for Fri (36 hrs later) and Chad made it happen. His install crew (Eric and Andre) showed up promptly at 9am and undertook a 10 hour task hardly even stopping to get a drink let alone taking a bathroom break! They accomplished everything on the contract and their Attention to Detail was over the top! John(their supervisor) showed up around 6pm and spent an hour checking their work and fine tuning a few of things. I won't bore you with the details but in the end I had a new insulated stand and a super efficient new Trane system which runs better and quieter than my old system. According to my FPL app, I saved over a dollar my 1st day which translates into over $30/month. I wish I could share some photos to show just how well they did but I'm going to be posting on other sites if I can(Angie's List, Google, Home Advisor, etc.) and hopefully I can post photos there. What originally impressed me with this company was when the owner of the company came out to do a routine maintenance on my old unit and I watched how meticulously he did his job and how bright, shiny and organized his van was. The salesman that came over was great. I ordered a new AC with him, and they came to install it the next day. They started working late, they got tired and bad things started happening. After 8 hours of trying to install an AC that should have taken 3 to 4 hours to install, the AC never worked, when it was turned on smoke came out of it. They did not delivered what they had promised, they tried to save a few dollars in the quality of the materials, they tried to cut corners, hide their mistakes, and they think they are very smart trying to fool people like that, which resulted in a very low quality job. They tried to convince me to fix the new AC instead of just taking it away. Took them 4 days to take the AC away, and the infrastructure in my home was damaged because of their negligenge, incompetence, ignorance, and maybe out of malice. It was the worst experience in my life with any contractor. It will cost me several hundred dollars to fix what they damaged, and not everything will be as good as it was before they came. I am just happy I will never have to deal with them again, but I am very sad of all the damage they left in my home. It was a traumatic experience. read more
