Dr. Reid also is incredibly warm and friendly, in addition to being BRILLIANT! When you're looking into plastic surgery of any kind you initially go "good Lord that's expensive", BUT... I will say this, you're going to see those nurses and that surgeon SO MANY times post-op and not be charged any more. They will answer emails and phone calls to calm you down and fit you in same day if you're experiencing any kind of concerns and just want them to take a look. I've never healed as well from anything... not even a paper cut, as well as I have from this surgery. I know Dr. Reid uses a special fancy pants cutting tool that aids in healing better, and wow...I can tell. I also highly recommend you ask for the information of the private nurse that you can hire to take care of you after surgery. If I hadn't done that for the first 24 hrs my family would have been sooo overwhelmed. They can get you her info, I don't want to give it out, as she's a separate business, but this just shows how much they care about the success of their patients...by offering extra support that can help you. Their office also is a big fan of lymphatic massage, which I'm all in for. They have a person on staff that does it and I think she helped my healing a ton as well! I still have a long way to go, as this type of surgery has long term swelling, but I've come so far. I can't say enough wonderful words about this team. My eyesight completely changed right after surgery and never got back to where it was. I am six months out from surgery. I have ended up with chronic dry eyes and unable to read small print without my husband's help even with a stronger change in my prescription glasses. The shape of my lids have changed and my brows are straight out like Dr. Spock. I wear glasses which I never had a problem with my glasses until right after surgery. For months I kept telling her that my vision is messed up. She said 'thats not possible". Well, it is and it happened to another patient of hers which you can see her review here on yelp. Her nurse called and asked if they could contact my eye doctor and I said no. I wanted to give it 6 months. Well she called him anyway which is a hipaa violation which I have reported. Also, one eyelid is still very droopy with a deep fold. Let's move to the lip lift. Instead of my lips lifting, she pulled my nostrils down on my nose completely exposing them and to make matters worse the Nostrils are different sizes and have a lifted scar under my nose. i had to change my Face ID on my phone because it didn't recogniz me. I look in the mirror and I don't recognize myself and my friends say that I am unrecognizable. My lip is not lifted at all. At my last doctor visit, she got very nasty and said some very not nice things. She is rude and so unkind. Her reviews fooled me. This is the most unprofessional person, I have ever meant. I sincerely question that after my own offer of a full refund but only in exchange for my silence. Someone asked recently about the contact he asked me to sign in exchange for a full refund ($15,050) so I attached a photo of it. It reads (in part): "THAT I fully understand that from this day forward I will not speak about this case or Dr. Andrew P. Trussler, M.D. publicly (i.e. media- news, print, or electronic) or privately. Also, there will not further public (e.g. signage or voice amplification) or private demostrations (sic) nor discussing this case with any other persons. If I continue any of the above mentioned I am hereby notified I will incur treble civil penalties." It is very difficult to sue for medical malpractice in the state of Texas, and even then, the damages are capped at an amount that might not even be worth the trouble after the emotional drain and attorney's fees. There is very little accountability required. Be very, very careful about who you choose to literally trust with your life.

I guess people don't usually take to Yelp to brag on a plastic surgeon, but a couple of months ago, I found myself with 3 broken ribs and some serious facial fractures. I had a trip to Italy booked with my kids not many days away, but the pressing need for surgery. Turns out, plastic surgeons are the best suited & trained to repair these kinds of things. Looking around, I saw Dr. Eric was close, which was convenient. But looking at his background bio, I was impressed. Got an appointment immediately. Wow. Like all of us, I've encountered many doctors over the years. But this guy is such a cut way above: really, really smart, really practical, and a very good and patient communicator. He assessed the situation, took me through my own MRI to look at my facial fractures, and laid out the options and what he recommended. But he really listened to what I was concerned about, and considered those concerns when explaining the benefits/drawbacks of different approaches. Knowing I had an important vacation commitment, he quickly arranged surgery. He managed to repair a very unsettling part of my injuries -- a broken bone in my face that could be felt protruding just below the skin (shudder) -- and fixed everything right up. He had really set my expectations around a reasonable repair and recovery... but the results were stellar! He did such an excellent job all the way around to even the incisions, that recovery was a breeze. My 3 kids and I were able to trek all over Italy (although the 30 pound suitcase and broken ribs were a reeeeal pissuh :) ), thanks to him. Beyond really big smarts and expertise, in the numerous times I've seen him in all my visits and follow-ups, I also found him to be a really great and down-to-earth guy. He is personable and friendly, and very good at what he does. If you are considering cosmetic procedures or surgery, this guy is super-knowledgeable and extremely capable.
