Ohh la la I absolutely love how fabulously chic this restaurant is! AJ Chocolate House in Winter Park, Florida, is a European-style cafe known for its luxurious ambiance and extensive selection of handmade Belgian chocolates, with over 150 varieties imported from Europe. It offers a decadent experience with items like sipping chocolate, fondue, cakes, waffles, and coffee, and is a popular spot for dates, brunch and solo dates! I enjoyed having brunch with my bestie here for the first time and truly cannot wait to come back, maybe even for a birthday celebration. Prices were reasonable and the posh interior was Miranda Priestley approved lol !

Went here the day before Mother's Day to celebrate with my mom, grandma and aunt! It was all our first time and we were all very pleased with the food and dessert items. The tea tower was amazing and we added crostinis! I would definitely come back with friends or family. We sat first and then ordered at the register. The cashier was very friendly and patient while we order. The seating was intimate and it was a calm atmosphere.

    The presentation is really nice.

I sometimes buy a truffle or 2, maybe a few... Last time, I tried a ginger chocolate one that melts when you put it in coffee. I had a coffee from the new Austin's Coffee location in the car. Tasted great, I really enjoyed the ginger flavor, fine candy, nicely candied. I also tried a cinnamon fudge one that had a light cinnamon flavor due to the cinnamon powdered sugar coating. Most pieces are $3, & the coffee one was $3.50 but it was slightly larger. They used to give free samples, but I haven't seen that in a while. There's a room that offered something like tea service, by reservation. The window is frosted, no view due to the parking lot, but the chandelier & decor is very nice. Parking is easy, must be a patron.

I tried AJ chocolate house over the weekend and it was so yummy! I tried all three tea platters & the sandwich one was my favorite! I also tried 3 different teas, rose, chai, (my favorite,) & peach. I would say three platters can help keep about 10 ppl full. The chocolates look oh so cute! I didn't get an opportunity to try but I have a reason to go back :)

The service was off their game. Not very approachable and made an open table reservation and they didn't mark it. Really enjoy the food with the charcuterie tea experience. Their tea tray was slanted and felt like we were going to lose the tray the whole time. There was a lot of food included on tea experience and you got a pot of tea as well. They ran out of tea cups and gave us espresso cups.

They have a parking lot! First time coming and wish I knew since parking on park Ave is always such a struggle. Fantastic service, great food options and the place is very cute. I had the prosciutto and fig jam crostini with a dessert wine and a slice of hazelnut almond cake. Everything was exquisite, the atmosphere adorable and relaxing with lots of soft seating. Will definitely be back

Food was absolutely unreal! You HAVE to get the fig and salmon crostinis. We came for Galentine's and it was the perfect night out. The vibes are upscale, stunning and inviting. We loved the valentines decorations. The charcuterie tower was full of so many delicious things! The waffles that we dipped in chocolate had a crunch to them and I was obsessed. The fondue was also amazing. We'll definitely be back! Great date night idea.

This place is incredible! I will definitely be coming back. I went here for brunch with a friend and it is honestly the best place for this or even a date night. The atmosphere is cute and the food is delicious. Kassi was the absolute best! She's super friendly, knowledgeable, and loved sharing her favorite and suggestions to us! I cannot wait to come back!

Amazed at the options, yes, but more so, amazed at just how delicious was the chocolate Marzipan cake. We will return.

AJ Chocolate is an experience, not just a dessert shop. From the moment you walk in, to inhaling the decadent chocolates. There isn't much parking on the premises. We parked on the streets. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The moment we walked in, there was so much to look at. The menu is vast, with so many options it's almost impossible to decide. Everything looks incredible, and the shop itself is beautifully decorated, making it fun and elegant all at once. Half of my family made a beeline for the gelato while the other half headed straight for the chocolates and cheesecake and everyone was thrilled with their choice. What we ordered was very yummy (and I don't even care for chocolates)! Whether you're craving gelato, chocolate, cheesecake, drinks, or brunch, this place has something for everyone and is well worth the visit.

The Sunday morning crew was so nice. The experience of choosing chocolate was enjoyable. We were the first in and one of the chocolatiers gave us a strawberry with a drizzle of white chocolate. Felt like a very luxurious experience, even though it was a small gesture. The chocolate selection is amazing and delicious. The APPLE & BRIE CROISSANT and PROSCIUTTO & FIG JAM CROISSANT were yummy and the accompanying salad with the chocolate vinagarette was unexpected. Loved the location decor, the employees, and the food!

What a fun spot for chocolate lovers. This quaint spot has a huge variety of specialty chocolates and desserts, along with sipping chocolate, waffles with fruit, ice cream, and sandwich/salads. We loved the waffle with all the fruit and milk chocolate to drizzle over. Rich and decadent with fresh fruit, this dish was a great brunch choice. Also loved the Brie and apple sandwich and portions are huge. Staff was so nice and the whole vibe is fun. They even had the Christmas decor up with festive music playing. I would definitely recommend checking this spot out for fun lunch or to grab some tasty chocolates for friends and family (or yourself)! Only critiques are pricey chocolates so this would be a treat and parking is limited.

We went to AJ'S Chocolate House for happy hour. 2 for 1 wines and discounted appetizers. The service was a bit slow considering there were only a few patrons but the food, wine and chocolates made up for it. The decor was very cute and eclectic with an outdoor space as well.

Either way, visiting this location really is the hack that you think it is. Since it is in the East End Market, you can simply waltz in with little to no line and order your delicious Gideon's treats. It is important to note that unfortunately they don't offer the cold brew here, however, as they don't have the facilities to make it like they do at Disney Springs. But, the cookies are just as delicious and they do always sell their limited edition cookies here in addition to their classics. It is also worth shopping around the market as well since there are many indulgences here ranging from sushi to cocktails to fun trinkets. It is best to visit at an off time though as parking can be a challenge.

I didn't realize that before ordering, so that definitely explains part of why this wasn't for me. Red velvet is usually my birthday cake, so I've tried it from quite a few places over the years. I personally prefer a softer, fluffy cake with a noticeable cocoa flavor and a tangy cream cheese frosting. Gideon's version was very different from that. The color was much more intensely red than I personally like, and I felt like I could taste the coloring. The texture of my slice also felt more wet/dense than moist and fluffy. There was plenty of frosting, but the cream cheese flavor was much more subtle than I prefer. I know this cake has a lot of fans, so I think this really comes down to style and personal preference. In the evening it is a bit dark and I prefer a litle more light when eating. We started with the lions mane mushrooms and the lobster flatbread. The mushrooms were nice and hot while a little sweet. The lobster flatbread was crispy and tasty but a little cold. For drinks and cocktails they have a nice interesting list of selections. We had an espresso martini, a drink called positive affect and very interesting cloudstar. The drinks were beautiful and delicious. The descriptions on the menu are very inviting. Positive affect included vodka, cumber, basil, and citrus that was refreshing and a beautiful green color. The cloudstar sounds like it would be really sweet but it was not and was a very good drink. This had a lot going on but mixed together well which included vanilla, banana liqueur, proseco, and you pour passion fruit juice over cotton candy. Dylan our server was very attentive and kind. Entrees were a burger with these huge crispy fries, roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and I think they forgot to add the spinach. We also had the rack of lamb that was flavorful, tender and plated well. The meal presentations were very good. Some of our food could have been served a little hotter. Moving onto desserts we had the butterscotch creme brulee and the chocolate decadence that was like a torte with a very good berry sauce. Both desserts were very good! It was a good evening. I could not finish the rake of lamb so bonus I have lunch for tomorrow.

We stopped here since it was one of the closest spots to the golf course, but I was pretty disappointed. The biggest issue is that it is not actually a bowl, it is served in a cup. It makes it really difficult to enjoy all the toppings together since you can only eat one layer at a time, which defeats the purpose. The granola portion was also lacking, and you do not get to choose the amount. The ingredients themselves tasted good, but the execution made the whole experience underwhelming. On top of that, there was only one employee running everything during a busy Sunday around noon. I felt bad for her, but it did slow things down a lot. We had to wait while she made multiple orders before even being able to place ours, with a line forming behind us. I understand if it was a slower weekday, but during a peak time it just did not seem set up for success. I honestly wish I had not brought our cousins here for their first acai experience.

The design inside is minimalist and is definitely a place you could easily sit and relax in. We got the Tiger bowl which is an acai bowl with granola, double strawberry, peanut butter and protein and decided to add bananas which in theory sounds delicious. It comes in a smoothie cup for some reason which makes the amount of toppings you get much less than when you get bowls in other stores and it's filled to the top which also sounds great but awful considering the "bowl" comes layered so if you want to try the layers together it gets messy quite quickly. Once we got to the protein layer, we quickly found out it was raw protein powder. Just a layer of protein powder in the middle of the "bowl" is insane and takes up quite a bit of the space so you're getting less of everything else for something that could easily have just been mixed in from the beginning. After getting to the protein powder layer, it quickly ruins the rest of the layers as the powder doesn't mix well and clumps up everything and makes it gritty and close to inedible. And all in all, the "bowl" came out to around $23 before tip. Whilst normally I'm understanding of places having bad days, open to trying other things even after having a poor experience once and some menu items just not being for me, I would personally never want to return.
