Someone from his shop took our car for a joy ride and got pulled over and went to jail. We had to go get the car out of the inpound so they could continue the work on it. Months past And it was impossible to get ahold of Allan. We ended up calling the police on him and reporting the car stolen on 4 /2023 , after the insurance people had told us that they had paid him out almost $14000., We knew he was scamming us, Once my insurance company got involved Allen let them know that the car was at a totally different location and that it had been in another car accident., My husband and I went with the police to To retrieve the car and the gentleman at that shop did not want to give us our car. He wanted us to pay him over $5000 to get our car out. The police made them give us our car back because they were all so lying about it having a mechanical hold on it., Mind me the work from the previous accident was not done and while in Allen's possession the car was in another accident, Allan lied to my insurance company and told them all of the work was done when it wasn't, all of the airbags are still deployed plus all the new damages from the new accident, my Husband and I will pursue I'm do what we have To Do to get Justice., Do not take your car to this shop. I'm doing a body off pan restoration of a '65 VW bug and I gave the pan to Allen Gonzalez at AJ Collision for refurbishing (welding, repairs and paint). I did this to see if he'd be a good fit to do the entire restoration. However, what should've only taken a few weeks took more than 3 months and he charged me more than 2 and half times what we had initially talked about!!! I've been disappointed by companies who can't keep their word before but this guy is the worst!!! He promised... sorry, he GUARANTEED delivery about a dozen times over a period of 2 months and didn't deliver!! In the end, I had to take a day off work and drive across town to pick it up!! Also, what kind of body shop doesn't have the ability to research and buy the parts necessary to finish a job?!? That's right, I had to do the research, find what was needed and send him the web-sites for the parts necessary!! In my opinion, Allen is in NO WAY a reliable, competent or honest individual and he does not conduct his business in an ethical manner. Take my advice, FIND A DIFFERENT BODY SHOP!! I went with what I thought was convenience and now I am completely regretting thinking convenience was important. Allan made the effort to drive to my work, look at my car and then pick it up to take it to his shop once everything was worked out with the insurance company. Allan also did the leg work for the money from the insurance company, BUT he got the couple thousand and didn't care about anything else. I was SO SO SO patient during the whole process. I was told 7-10 days by AJ's even though the insurance said 5 days. I was okay with this because at the time I had another car to drive and did not need to rely on a rental. I talked to them after 14 days and was told it would be ready the following Monday. It wasn't. So I was nice and patient again and when I asked about it on the 3rd week, he told me he'd bring it to me the next day. The day went by and I didn't hear anything. Then he said that the paint wasn't dry... well for a job that should be done in 10 days and we are going on 20 days.... it should have long since been painted and dried. So again, I was patient... now here comes 4 weeks and I asked about my car again. I asked if there was a problem or what was going on and he said, he'd bring it to me the next day. So after 4 weeks, I get my car back and THE BUMPER IS THE WRONG COLOR. It is a variation of the shade of the car but not even close. Like you don't even have to look twice to see it's the wrong color. I immediately told him the color looked wrong and he said, "ok, let me know." Well, I have let him know a couple times a week for a month now that it's the wrong color and he doesn't seem to want to deal with me and now ignores me. He was happy to take a couple of thousand dollars and keep my car for over a month, but doesn't care to actually fix the car. It's a new-ish car in like new condition and unfortunately out of all of the body shops I picked, it was the one I shouldn't have. Now I get to do a small claims court and I will win but it's one more thing against them... apparently they don't care as reading the reviews lately seems to be they are just desperate from jobs. Take a look at their most recent reviews... all 1 star. Stay away.... like I said, I was patient and understanding but that got me nothing. STAY AWAY!!!! UPDATE - the minute I posted this review he contacted me. Never once over the last 5 weeks has he told me he'd fix it or "in contact with the paint supplier". He has ignored my every attempt to contact him. He also NEVER said he'd redo it when he dropped it off but told me to let him know if it wasn't the right color....which I tried to tell him for 5 weeks.... but he ignored that as well. He is now saying he will fix it and it will only take 2 days, but for whatever reason it took 4 weeks the first time around. read more

I received a very reasonable estimate on repair of a small ding on my tail gate - saved me at least $1,000 of what the big guys were quoting me! I was able to schedule the repair around my schedule and it was finished within a couple days. Looks brand new again! read more

I am giving AJ Collision and Repair a 1. I was a victim of road rage I took my car here and nothing was done. The insurance company sent the check directly to AJ's. I dropped my car off on Jan. 6th. I asked how long it would take he said 2 weeks. To weeks came no car. Bottom line I picked my car up on March 26th. My car key was no where to be found, my battery was dead, tire was flat, my car was filthy and my drivers side mirror was removed. I asked for the check for $3300.00 to be returned to me so I can take my car somewhere else and still haven't received heard nothing. I just want my car fixed! I made several visits to the shop and there was no one there. And trying to reach Allan was a joke. I am deeply disgusted with the whole situation. read more

I was a first time customer based on another good review and in checking in with the owner, Allan, he gave a great first impression with an early and very reasonable estimate cost and checked in with me by text during the day, when I left, while my car was being worked on. He was friendly and very professional and the mechanic did excellent work and gave me good advice about follow up work I should get soon. The cost? $125.00 for about six hours of labor and no major new parts. The chain estimates I got earlier were much higher and am very glad I gave Allan and his operation a try. They do all kinds of auto repair work and I highly recommend giving them a go if you are looking for car repair options. read more
