I give this a mid rating. I was going through insurance to repair my vehicle. Peter was my service provider great young man. He was very helpful and updated me on everything I needed to know. The ladies upfront amazing young women. I believe their name were Kristana and Abbey, very helpful and well spoken women. However those ladies were amazing there was another lady that works there don't know her name but she in a office there. I did not like her attitude , her attitude was not the best and she seemed like she was angry or annoyed to talk to me. I believe with that type of attitude she should be not in the front, other then that everything was great. I do recommend coming here and look for Peter and talk with Kristana and Abbey. read more

Part one: First survey: I have pictures of the vehicle - which was claimed to be ready for pickup. I encountered several issues during my recent experience. I was called to pick up my vehicle, which was said to be "ready." However, upon arrival, I noticed that the paint was smudged, there was a visible dent, and the fender was misaligned. Not one technician caught this damage before my arrival. When I left the collision center, my claim was finalized without my acceptance of the vehicle, leading to my insurance claim being closed out. This prompted me to call State Farm to reinitiate my claim to keep my rental vehicle. I challenge the team at Sand to carefully review how they treat their customers. I should have trusted my gut when I first walked in, as I felt more like a burden than a valued paying customer. Please avoid closing cases that aren't resolved. My insurance was told the car would be ready Monday, yet I was informed it wouldn't even be reviewed until then. Mistakes happen, but a friendly, apologetic approach and taking ownership of this error would have been greatly appreciated. I picked up my car today and not only did they repair it and it looks fabulous. Someone had hit our parked Blazer and needed some body work. We have done business with Sands Chevrolet for 20 years, and once previously with the collision center. We have always been completely happy with the service, so we decided that there was nowhere else we would go. They did not disappoint. I took my truck in a month ago for the hood, door, and tonneau cover to be repainted due to sun damage paint no body work. I was quoted $3315 for paint, labor, and new trim and Chevrolet badging and work would be done in 7 days by Hugo. Knowing better I was prepared for two weeks. I contacted after a week and no replies, continued calling to learn Hugo no longer works there. After talking with new estimator was told another week (3) however now in the fourth week I get the call to come pick up and first thing I noted they put the old sun damaged badging and trim back on truck. I observed scratched and orange peel on tonneau cover and hood has discoloration. To top it off they were trying to charge me now $3800 even though I had pictures of original quote. Didn't accept work and had to leave. We shall see how long it takes to get it right now!! read more

Horrible, unprofessional, service and poor customer service. Was scheduled well over a month out. Then, when I finally got my car back from repair, there were scratches to the wheels unrelated to the repair. No one wanted to take claim of the damage. Then was told "Hun, paint tend to chip." Very misogynistic workplace. Everyone had an attitude. Should have known when I dropped off the car and there was another customer getting argued down about getting a check from when his car was damaged while leaving it for repair. They will gang up on you to avoid fault. Looking at some of their other reviews it seems like multiple people has had their cars damaged here as well. Highly DO NOT recommend!! read more

Never use this place for work on your vehicle if you have them they will total your vehicle out for you if you want it totaled out ! THEY WILL ASK YOU...DO YOU want your vehicle totaled out and they can do that for you just have to say yes or no & they will call your insurance company and go ahead n total it for you. However.. if you want the work done by a different company they will steal things off of your vehicle and will not be responsible even tho its in a locked facility....I spoke with Lee the manager, he says he refuses to replace anything on the vehicle even though was in a locked facility so therefore they take things off because they know that you have to go to another facility. They were pissed and told me they did enough for me. So stealing items in a locked facility is NOT their problem. While my truck was in their shop, they, or one of their affiliates damaged my truck and tried to fix it without me knowing. They deny knowing anything about it. After being in an accident while visiting Arizona, my insurance company referred me to Sands Chevrolet Collision Center. The repair was to take a month and ended up taking six weeks. I called on a Friday and asked if it was done and they said yes. I told them I will be in Monday at 10:00. My truck was not ready. I waited around until 4:00. On my way home, I stopped for gas and noticed a decal on my tailgate was missing. I thought maybe they polished the whole truck and it came off. All the damage was to the front end of my truck. Once I got home, I noticed the tailgate guard was brand new. I work construction and know my truck, and I know the tailgate guard was beat to crap. So for whatever reason, the decal was gone and there was a new tailgate guard. I called and asked my service rep and he denied knowing anything about it. He said maybe one of the workers scratched the tailgate. If that happened, be honest with me and don't lie and try to cover it up. All I wanted was an honest answer. Maybe the frame company they took it to damaged it and fixed it. Maybe they were test driving it to make sure it was running right and got rear ended. All I know is that there was work done on the rear of my truck that I knew nothing about and the final bill did not show any work done on the rear. I also had to have a company here in California polish out swirl marks on a door that they painted. I would have left more stars if they had not lied to me and tried to cover up damage they did and repaired and tried to hide it from me. read more

Sands Carstar is actually Sands Chevrolet but they service everything. I recently had some body work done to my Toyota Rav4 by Sands, at the recommendation of my insurance company. I could not find any reviews on Sands Carstar and was a bit reluctant but I couldn't find any other body shop with consistent positive reviews, so I gave them a chance. Everyone was professional, the lot was secure and the repairs performed were done right. I am a bit picky when it comes to vehicle repairs and I was pleased. The body lines matched up, the paint matched perfectly and everything was done right. I was also concerned with the use of aftermarket parts and my estimator assured me they would use OEM parts and the insurance company would not let them use anything else. We have had the car back for about a month and so far I have not noticed any problems. read more

I trusted this business as a "gauranteed shop" through the insurance company. Well the shop helped save the insurance company money by claiming that obvious damage from the accident was wear and tear and then stuck a single father with a bill for $1600 which I had no choice but to pay so that I could get my vehicle back and return to work. I'm now likely going to arbitration with the insurance company but the whole nightmare process wouldn't have been possible without the greed of this company read more

I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are basically a scam artist. My car was stolen from me and when it was recovered my insurance company recommended this stupid place. I trusted my insurance company that they knew what was best for my car. Before my car was towed here, I went to examine the damages at tow yard the police had it towed to. My car was in excellent condition it just needed to be rekeyed since the keys were stolen. But when I got to Sands Collision Center my car was no longer in perfect condition and it was over 3 to $4,000 worth of damages including a hanging bumper which was not hanging hours before. It look like they took a bat to my car. I advise Ken at that time that my car did not look like this when I saw it hours ago. Ken claim this is how it arrive to them which I know that is not true. They also claim my windshield was cracked and needed repair. I have a special tint on my front window which had a warranty from the shop that installed the tint and window. Ken fixed the windshield but didnt replace the special tint which is for a skin problem. I asked him about that and all he said was call my insurance company. No Ken im calling you since you replaced it without the tint that im sure you saw before you removed the window. Once car was fixed they then force me to pay them $1,000 to get my car back from them. Once I receive my car within 2 hours it broke down. I had to have the car towed to my home and catch a uber home. I contacted Ken and explain that my car is no longer working, Ken then had my vehicle towed back to the shop. My car has been there now for over a week and I have called every other day for an update on my vehicle. The receptionist is very rude and claimed that he is in a meeting every single day. He never returns my calls. I would not recommend this place to anyone!! Run far away if your insurance company recommend Sands Collision Center. read more
