My husband and I have eaten here twice now in person and a couple times over DoorDash. Every time we come here we have a good experience. It is all you can eat or by the roll. We normally pay by the roll because we only get one each. But all you can eat comes with a little food bar. I've gotten a few rolls here but my favorite has been the Aji roll. This place is always such a hit. All you can eat sushi is some times a bit suspicious but this place has never failed us. Tonight I came with my cousins, between the 4 of us, we ordered about 11 rolls, and had a few appetizers, it was all amazing. We rolled out of there ourselves. Notified them of an allergy and requested rolls without an ingredient that I am allergic to. They made the rolls with my allergen. The owner came to our table to yell at us about how he made it and I'm wrong. They also stopped making our food after giving us only half of it and the owner got pissy at us because "we needed to finish what was given to us" The food I am allergic to. They tried to charge us premium price ($40 per person) after one person ordered 1 order of fresh oysters. He then came back to our table to yell at us about how he will charge us extra because we're wasting food by not eating the rolls THAT I AM ALLERGIC TO!!! Never gave us the food that my kids ordered so they didn't get to eat and we were still charged for them. Not to mention the rest of the food was barely edible. Screw this place and the owner. Came here for lunch AYCE and it's honestly a solid deal at just $23 per person. It wasn't busy when we went, so service was chill and pretty fast. You get to order 3 rounds, no limit per round, and it's all through an iPad with pictures (super helpful if you don't know all the sushi names). They also have a DIY salad and miso soup bar. Most of the fish tasted fresh, and the rolls had good flavor, though a couple needed more sauce. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because the unagi nigiri (which I usually love) came out a little too charred and rough, kinda scratched my mouth. Perfect Ayce on a budget with plenty of options and an amazing salad bar!! My sister and I have been trying out local Ayce spots in Sacramento and this was next on our list after a gloomy day hike. Right off the bat we were seated within minutes of walking in and it was about two hours before the first wave of closing. They have tablets at the tables for unlimited ordering which I love as some spots take their time to bring out each round or limit you on pieces of specialty items like nigiri. We did about three rounds and what really stuck out to me was their salad bar and the option to take a box Togo! Ayce lunch was about $22 per person which was great for every thing they offered. The salad bar had a self serve miso soup station which made me super excited because you could add in your desired amounts of green onions, tofu, and dried seaweed. The broth itself was hot and super hearty flavor and additionally they had Gyoza and veggie tempura for you to bring back to your table. They also had plenty of ginger, strawberry and mango pudding, and a few more options. My sister and I are specifically fixated on nigiri and I must say for Ayce it was super good. We got salmon, squid, eel and a few other nigiri which were all super good. Finally, parking was decent but a little packed just because of the plaza it's in and the surrounding stores but other than that I enjoyed the option to take a box home for $6! They had a decent amount of options and I enjoyed that oysters were included. We didn't try any of the extra stuff that cost $5 each. Aji Sushi is the best. We have loved this place for many years, ordering food here through DoorDash and pickup. It's most convenient to have sushi and freshly made food for lunch or dinner. Most employees are very friendly, kind, and helpful. Sometimes they drop off our food at our shop because they know that's our order. The place is a unique and modern restaurant with lots of tables and chairs to sit on comfortably, and it's affordable to eat out. They have a lot of variety of sashimi/nigiri and the quality of the fish is really fresh. Mackerel is my favorite and I ordered so much of it! You can order as much as you like per round. Be on the lookout for the special order items, they cost a little extra. A nice bonus; desserts are included in the AYCE as well...in addition to the soup/appetizer bar! I highly recommend ordering the salmon truffle for the extra $5.95! We ordered a variety of sushi, basically the entire menu! The sake maki was a favorite and the volcano roll! The takoyaki was absolutely delicious and the crab stuffed jalapeño hit the spicy spot! I tried the Mexican roll because I was craving spicy, but it was very mild for my palate. Still, it was packed with flavor! Do not leave without trying the deep fried banana and ice cream! I visited Aji Sushi in Sacramento, CA [5239 Elkhorn Blvd] on Saturday, 05/31/25, around 1 PM. On this visit, I decided to opt for the AYCE lunch deal for around $23. What stood out to me was being able to place my orders on the tablet at the table. It was super convenient to have that available whenever I was ready. Throughout my rounds, I was able to try the Rainbow Roll, Alaska Roll, Hamachi (Yellowtail) Nigiri, Eel (Unagi) Nigiri, Miso Soup, Udon Noodle Soup, and Green Tea Ice Cream. In terms of the sushi quality and freshness, it was decent and met typical expectations for an AYCE spot. The food that I enjoyed the most were the Rainbow Rolls, Hamachi Nigiri, Eel Nigiri, Miso Soup, and Green Tea Ice Cream. They were all on point and tasty to consume. The dishes that I did not enjoy as anticipated were the Udon Noodle Soup and the Alaska Roll. The customer service was wonderful. The staff members were hospitable and attentive. The inside of the restaurant was inviting and nicely decorated. Overall, I'd return to Aji Sushi whenever I am in the area to try more things from the menu. The fish quality was terrible. As soon as we saw it we knew we'd made a mistake. Frozen, waterlogged fish with a mealy texture. Absolutely horrible. We tried our best to just eat the first round we ordered so we wouldn't be charged extra to leave it but no one wanted eat any of it after the first bite. I tried to order something that wouldn't be risky just to eat something as I was hungry , so ordered the teriyaki chicken appetizer. Spat it out immediately. It was like boiled soggy rubber with sauce on top. Very poor quality and putrid. I have never had food this bad. People said online this place had good AYCE sushi. They have no idea what they are talking about. I haven't had a meal this bad in years. Paid for AYCE sushi and I was happy to leave hungry just to get out of there. If you want to try this place maybe order a nigiri to decide before signing up for all you can eat. The staff was nice. The cold tofu appetizer was fine. We arrived right when it opened and got a table without a reservation. I would highly recommend getting a reservation at any other time of day. This was our first time here our waiter was so helpful. The AYCE appetizers were really good. Fast and easy ordering through the tablet. All of the sushi was so good we didn't even get pictures. We had one person with us who doesn't like sushi and they were able to order off a different menu which was really nice. I really disliked the variety of Google Map direction choices, making you wind through the windy, confusingly laid out parking lots with narrow lanes. Just stay on the main road, Elkhorn Blvd, as long as possible before turning into the correct plaza and the closest lanes to the restaurant. Restaurant is dark inside with only windows on the front wall and dark paint color. The Japanese wall murals and decorations are colorful and lovely. Given I have not done well at AYCE buffets in the past, I didn't want myself or others to overeat to the point of sickness, so I decided to buy a very reasonably priced $6 small Styrofoam takeout box to take home the excess sushi rolls. If you think about it, 2 or 3 full sushi rolls for $6 is a bargain! Restaurant is gracious enough to let you decide how many boxes you want and how full you want to stuff them. For the future, here are my recommendations: 1. Only order nigiri. No sushi rolls, which are big and seemingly countless. Limit apps to 3 or less. 2. Only order for yourself. Don't guess what others might eat, and don't assume people will like what you like. People will only eat what they like. 3. You have time to order 2 or 3 rounds, so don't order too much on your 1st round. My favorite foods: 1. Salmon Nigiri 2. Hamachi Nigiri 3. Unagi Nigiri 4. Miso Soup with DIY diced tofu, green onion, and dried wakame fixings I was too full to truly try or appreciate everything. The Veggie Tempura, Alaska Roll, and Hulk Roll were up my alley. Maybe I'd try the Korokke (Japanese mashed potato croquette) or the Fried Oysters next time. The California, Spider, and Rainbow rolls were easily eaten by my dining companions. Skip the very thin chicken katsu. The servers were helpful and friendly, one willing to take group photos for us both inside and outside the restaurant. They filled our glasses with water and checked on us regularly. Aji Sushi is a great value at $20.95 for an AYCE sushi lunch buffet. I know my senior mother would love this place! read more

The decor was pretty cool - fairly small building but they made good use of it all to have room to seat a good amount of people.
