A10. Chicken Katsu

Hands down one of the best AYCE deals in all of Sacramento. FYI the area is not the best so park accordingly. Ended up showing up as soon as they opened which was a great an idea as it packed within a hour of being there. The service was great the entire time I was there. Waitress did a fantastic job explaining ordering off the iPad. It was beautifully decorative inside and the food was fantastic. At the price that they offer it, it's definitely a place I'd frequent anytime I want sushi. At first, any food ordered was quick to arrive but when it got busy it took much longer to arrive which was expected. The sushi was extremely flavorful and fresh. Best dish of the day was the sushi tacos! Very delicious! I highly recommend it.

Wanted to check out an ayce sushi place in sac and this place popped up a few times on ig. Drove further to try this place and it was okay. I will say that for $30 a person it's not bad. They had a decent amount of options and I enjoyed that oysters were included. We didn't try any of the extra stuff that cost $5 each. You get an iPad where you can see exactly what's on the menu and can do an unlimited amount for 3 rounds. I also liked the fact that ice cream was included as an option for dessert. Service was good despite them being fairly busy. It's nice and clean inside as well. Glad I got to check this place out but there's a closer ayce sushi place to us we wouldn't mind going to over here.

My new go to sushi spot. The price is unbeatable for AYCE and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The quality of the fish is amazing for the value. I keep coming back!

Always 100/10, this place is like a second home. Best prices, always fresh, never a disappointing visit. The service is always great, I come so often, a few recognize me and already know I'm there for the AYCE. I love the convenience of the salad bar and self servicing sauces- any chance to avoid asking for extra extra spicy mayo is a blessing- I'll just load up myself shamelessly. Truly a hidden gem tucked away in the most unexpected area.

In a nutshell; Been a pleasant experience each time, and won't mind going back again. Isnt in most best of places but it's better inside than outside. There's plenty of parking out so did not seem to be an issue whenever I come around here. Sushi isn't the most top tier but for an all you can eat, it's definitely on the better end. Servers were accommodating and nice. Was even given free ice cream for my birthday visit which I appreciate. Plenty of choices of sushi on their menu to choose from. All you can eat is definitely worth it and won't really burn a hole in your pocket. Overall really good stuff.

If you're a sashimi/nigiri lover and have an itch to eat sushi at least once a month, definitely check aji ayce sushi!! They have a lot of variety of sashimi/nigiri and the quality of the fish is really fresh. Mackerel is my favorite and I ordered so much of it! Ordering through the iPad definitely gave us too much power as we ordered so much sushi that we almost couldn't finish at the end, so definitely be mindful of how much you put in. Their platting of sushi came out so pretty. Overall, the sashimi, nigiri and sushi rolls are really goood! I would definitely come back here whenever I'm in the area!

I was having crazy cravings for sushi. I decided to come to Aji for their lunch buffet since it's been a while since I last came. The stuff jalapeño with imitation crab and potstickers were a good starter while I was waiting for my order. The fried oyster was not good. The oyster was still raw while the outside batter was cooked. Their rolls were okay this time not as good as how I remembered them. The service was quick at least while the inside had plenty of seating.

So good. Got the all you can eat sushi, you order using an iPad which makes it easy. You get three rounds but you can get however much you want to eat in those three rounds. Additional charge for food waste. Not only do they have a salad bar but it's open miso soup and they have jalapeno crab poppers and egg rolls and gyoza. Will be back!

Looking for high quality AYCE sushi on a budget? Look no further. Aji sushi did not disappoint! I saw a few Instagram reels raving about the AYCE lunch and dinner experience. I immediately looked up the Yelp reviews to see if it was really worth the hype. Then, I decided to stop by during a weekday for lunch. The service was very hospitable. Each worker greeted us upon arrival and our server explained the ordering process. In a nutshell, you get 3 rounds of ordering through the digital iPad at the table. You can order as much as you like per round. Be on the lookout for the special order items, they cost a little extra. A nice bonus; desserts are included in the AYCE as well...in addition to the soup/appetizer bar! I highly recommend ordering the salmon truffle for the extra $5.95! We ordered a variety of sushi, basically the entire menu! The sake maki was a favorite and the volcano roll! The takoyaki was absolutely delicious and the crab stuffed jalapeño hit the spicy spot! I tried the Mexican roll because I was craving spicy, but it was very mild for my palate. Still, it was packed with flavor! Do not leave without trying the deep fried banana and ice cream! I really appreciate that this location is small, a very chill vibe, and very affordable. I have already been back and brought friends. I plan on coming again for the dinner AYCE very soon!

I visited Aji Sushi in Sacramento, CA [5239 Elkhorn Blvd] on Saturday, 05/31/25, around 1 PM. On this visit, I decided to opt for the AYCE lunch deal for around $23. What stood out to me was being able to place my orders on the tablet at the table. It was super convenient to have that available whenever I was ready. Throughout my rounds, I was able to try the Rainbow Roll, Alaska Roll, Hamachi (Yellowtail) Nigiri, Eel (Unagi) Nigiri, Miso Soup, Udon Noodle Soup, and Green Tea Ice Cream. In terms of the sushi quality and freshness, it was decent and met typical expectations for an AYCE spot. The food that I enjoyed the most were the Rainbow Rolls, Hamachi Nigiri, Eel Nigiri, Miso Soup, and Green Tea Ice Cream. They were all on point and tasty to consume. The dishes that I did not enjoy as anticipated were the Udon Noodle Soup and the Alaska Roll. The customer service was wonderful. The staff members were hospitable and attentive. The inside of the restaurant was inviting and nicely decorated. Overall, I'd return to Aji Sushi whenever I am in the area to try more things from the menu. For the next visit, I will try the dinner option to expand my choices.

We were a party of 7 and we stopped by on our way back home from Reno around a Sunday 1:30pm. Restaurant was not busy so we were able to be seated immediately. Staff were friendly and helpful. They explained how the buffet worked and what's included in the regular price. We had all sort of sushi as well as chicken karaage and tempura. All were good. Some items were additional cost like sashimi and a few other items.

AJI Sushi in Sacramento is, without a doubt, my absolute favorite sushi spot -- and that's saying something because I live over 3 hours away! Yes, you read that right. I regularly make the drive from out of town just to eat here because it's that good. Whether you're a hardcore sushi lover or just looking for a great dining experience, AJI delivers every single time. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a clean, modern, and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly, professional, and always on top of things -- they make you feel right at home. Even when it's busy (which it often is, because it's so popular), the service is fast and efficient. They always take time to explain any questions about the menu and are very accommodating if you have any special requests. Now let's talk about the food -- the all-you-can-eat menu is one of the best I've seen. The selection is massive, with everything from fresh nigiri, creative specialty rolls, and tasty hand rolls to hot kitchen items like tempura, baked mussels, gyoza, garlic edamame, and more. Everything is made fresh to order, never pre-made like some other AYCE places. The quality of the fish is top-notch -- fresh, flavorful, and always cut perfectly. The presentation is beautiful, too, which shows the pride they take in their food. Some of my personal favorites are the Lion King Roll, the 49er Roll, and the baked green mussels -- but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Even their miso soup and salads are excellent, which says a lot about the consistency of their kitchen. I also appreciate how they don't skimp on portions, yet nothing ever feels heavy or overly stuffed like at some AYCE places. What sets AJI apart from other sushi restaurants is not just the amazing food and large variety, but the overall experience. The environment is always lively yet comfortable, making it great for casual meals, special occasions, or just satisfying that sushi craving. You can tell the owners and staff take pride in what they do, and it shows in every detail -- from the freshness of ingredients to the care in service. I've brought friends and family here multiple times, and everyone leaves impressed. Even those who were skeptical about the drive end up asking when we can come back. If you love sushi, this place is worth every mile of the drive and every penny spent. I'll continue to come back again and again -- AJI Sushi is a true gem in Sacramento and one of California's best-kept secrets when it comes to all-you-can-eat sushi. Highly recommended!

This is my go to sushi spot! The price is really good for what you get. You can order as much as you want but within 3 rounds off of a tablet. There is a salad bar that has appetizers such as egg rolls, stuffed jalapeños and gyoza. I have several favorite rolls but all rolls are delicious and made fresh to order. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean.

The lobster bites came with a lemon wedge and their house Thousand Island sauce, and that sauce was incredible. The combination of the crispy lobster, lemon, and sauce worked perfectly together. The broccolini was also seasoned really well and paired nicely with the grilled lemon. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was one of the smoothest I've had. One detail I loved was that they stamped the restaurant's logo into the ice cube. Small touch, but really cool. For my main course, I ordered the Grilled Huli Huli Chicken with a crispy rice cake, pineapple, greens, and a house sauce that completely made the dish. The sweet and tangy flavor paired perfectly with the chicken. Me and my girlfriend also shared the mac and cheese, and honestly, this was one of the best mac and cheeses I've had. It was rich, creamy, well-seasoned, and the breadcrumbs on top added the perfect texture. My girlfriend ordered the braised short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and carrot purée. The short rib was so tender it practically fell apart with a fork. Everything on the plate was delicious. One thing that surprised me was the portion sizes. Everything was very filling, and we ended up taking some food home. By the time dessert came around, we were already pretty full, but there was no way we were skipping it. To finish the night, we shared the Ghirardelli triple chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and strawberries. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant was busy and lively, but it never felt crowded. The tables were spaced out really well, so my girlfriend and I could still enjoy our conversation and watch the basketball game. I also appreciated seeing Chef Q and his wife walking around and checking on guests throughout the night. They stopped by tables to see how everyone was enjoying their food, which was a really nice touch. I even had the chance to take a picture with Chef Q before we left, which was super cool. Between the food, service, atmosphere, and attention to detail, this is easily one of the top restaurants I've been to in Sacramento. Definitely worth a visit.

Flash forward to this afternoon, they called my dad's cell phone to confirm the reservation. They never mentioned anything about the restaurant being closed for a private party or anything. My elderly parents show up for their reservation, only to be turned away by the host due to a private party! When my dad explained they had a reservation and paid for their table, the manager came over to speak to them. The manager said he would refund their reservation charge, but did NOTHING to make it right. They called and confirmed just hours before, turned them away at the door, and didn't even offer to get them a table for the next day or anything. For elderly parents with mobility issues, it's hard enough to get out of the house on a normal day, but to be turned away at the door due to mismanagement of their establishment is just embarrassing. Won't be coming back. Ever.

First, I want to say the chef was younger, but he put alot of care and effort into each dish, so he should definitely be acknowledged. However, as soon as we walked in, there was no greeting from both of the female servers, only cold stares. Many servers do not give great service to younger tables and assume they won't tip. This occurred throughout our dining experience and we didn't feel welcomed at all. Our table also wasn't the biggest and there was no pre-bussing done to clear our dining space. Also, as a recent graduate, I brought my cap to receive a $15 gift card for their promotion. Instead, she gave a "neighborhood" discount (10% off which made it $10 off). I didn't mention anything since I did not feel like coming back to this location. Then I looked at the receipt, wrote a 20% tip, but this was where I felt scammed. It's difficult to explain and I wish I took a picture, but please check your math on the suggested tip.
