OK Y'all... this is NOT a drill!! I am an avid dim sum lover/enjoyer/amateur and self-proclaimed connoisseur... I went here after releasing my poor destroyed vehicle to my insurance company after it was totaled by a horrible driver (insert single tear drop here)... I got the Soup Dumplings, Salt-Pepper Wings, Sui Mai, Chili Oil Wontons AND some of the hot Jasmine Tea... Everyone... the dumplings were some of THEEE BEST I have had in Sacramento (yes I know it is Citrus Heights, or Carmichael, rather, but moving on...). The customer service was exceptional. We door dashed Chinese from the Lucky Dumpling. We had wonton in chili sauce, combo chow mein, kung pao chicken and stir fried vegetables. It's all excellent. I have read so many different reviews about this restaurant. I decided to stop in and try it. It was very easy to find. It's near the corner of Madison Ave. and Auburn Blvd. in Sacramento. Parking was easy. Inside is bright, modern and very clean. Plenty of seating. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The staff person was very personable and helpful. She appeared to be the only person taking walk in, telephone, online and take out/pick up orders. She was very busy, and it was impressive how she handled it all professionally and personably. I ordered brocolli chicken, chicken chow mein and a side of shrimp dumplings. My meal came with an egg roll also. All the food was fresh and delicious! I will definitely return. Was super nervous to try, but I'm so glad I did. I ordered on DoorDash, but it was still really hot. When I got here. It was ready fast. The dumplings are so big and warm and filling and you can taste it. Very homemade fresh not frozen. The rice was so good flavorful the bowl was packed. They put sauce packets in silver room. First time here based on the great reviews. The outside looks kind of sad but inside is clean and the staff is very nice. I got thr beef chowmein and walnut shrimp. Definitely will be coming back! This location has been different businesses in the past years and most don't make it long. But I hope this one makes it through. I was a little skeptical because the outside of the location could use a reno but I wanted to give it a try and called for a to-go order. The lady who answered on a Saturday evening was so nice when taking my order. I ordered a wonton soup and steamed rice because I've been craving it for so long. The inside was bright and clean. There was a couple dinning in too. Total was $16.69 including a $2.50 tip so good price as I had leftovers too. I got home and unpacked the order. It was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. I almost finished the entire container myself so it will serve up to 1 and 1/2 bowls. I was very happy with the service and quality of the food. I'll be coming again to try out the menu! read more

What I liked most was the service. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I also liked that our iced water came with lemon slices! The thai iced tea was excellent, with the perfect amount of sweetness. What I didn't like was the food and the ambiance. First red flag I noticed was the AI posters. Every food place I've been to with AI artwork has not had good food and this unfortunately was one of them. As for the food, it was extremely bland. We got the chili oil wontons and it was mostly batter (thick dumpling skin) with a very very sweet and unspicy chili oil dressing. It was pretty off-putting. Visited on 8/3/25 and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the wontons in chili oil. The restaurant was relatively empty and quiet with updated furnishings. Service was quick although when it is time to pay just go up to the front because you'll be sitting there waiting for half an hour like I did.
