Mongolian Tofu was well flavored and tofu wasn't super mushy. Definitely recommend for vegetarians or vegans

Parking 4/5 on a strip with other businesses therefore parking may be a limited. Food 5/5 The couple of things and options for myself as a pescatarian by far has great options Service 5/5 From taking order and the speedy cheffing was amazing. Ambiance 5/5 beautifully decorated, comforts earrings and soft music is just the right touch of comforting dining out. Wish I did a video. On a strip, not easily missed but the appearance will have a lot of us foodies drive by. I recommend those that love Chinese food to give them a taste bud test. Food is very affordable. Happy searching my fellow foodies

Was super nervous to try, but I'm so glad I did. I ordered on DoorDash, but it was still really hot. When I got here. It was ready fast. The dumplings are so big and warm and filling and you can taste it. Very homemade fresh not frozen. The rice was so good flavorful the bowl was packed. They put sauce packets in silver room. The rice was so warm and the meat was really good.

Ordered togo. The noodles were definitely sitting a while - tasteless greasy and soggy. Kung pow chicken and Chicken with veggies were mid, greasy and basic.

    The biggest potstickers ever!

Unassuming on the outside, inside the Lucky Dumpling is bright and inviting. And oh my, the FOOD! We ordered a little of everything, and it was all hot, fresh, and delicious. The service was perfect, attentive without being intrusive. Before finding this place, we always drove to Elk Grove for dumplings, but never again! This is now our new favorite place to eat.

Came here and they gave us free chicken soup so good for a cold day

The service here is so good and the food is amazing top quality, this place deserves more love it's such a calming and peaceful atmosphere

Definitely will be coming back! This location has been different businesses in the past years and most don't make it long. But I hope this one makes it through. I was a little skeptical because the outside of the location could use a reno but I wanted to give it a try and called for a to-go order. The lady who answered on a Saturday evening was so nice when taking my order. I ordered a wonton soup and steamed rice because I've been craving it for so long. The inside was bright and clean. There was a couple dinning in too. Total was $16.69 including a $2.50 tip so good price as I had leftovers too. I got home and unpacked the order. It was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. I almost finished the entire container myself so it will serve up to 1 and 1/2 bowls. I was very happy with the service and quality of the food. I'll be coming again to try out the menu!

General chicken w/ chicken chow mein combo, house, famous wontons, and an order of shumai.

Best shumai I've ever had. I will not be able to eat shumai at the buffet any more. The wontons and general chicken were great too. This is another Highland's Hidden gem.

Seating area inside, nice and air condition is working well. Too bad it smells like someone is smoking.

While eating inside the building, you can smell the cigarette smoke from people/kitchen. Disgusting. Ruined the whole meal.

    Wonton in chili oil

I don't know who's rating this place, but the food is super super basic. Food came out so fast, which tells me that everything is pre-frozen. Orange chicken was so bland and chicken was mainly batter. The beef was so chewy. The chicken fried rice tastes like a wet dog. The 2 appetizers were good -cream cheese wonton and chili wontons. They came out super fast though which tells me they have pre-made frozen food. If I want food like that I'll just eat at home. Def won't be back, had high hopes! Place Is very clean despite the outside and waitress was nice. They took their lunch while we ate though and waited a while before getting our check.

    Nice and very clean

Awesome!! Very nice staff, good prices, & good food! And you must get the hot mustard!!

The location was a bit odd, as there were barely any other businesses nearby. There is street parking that you can pay for. It's a fairly small restaurant. We were were seated pretty quickly. Service was very friendly. I would say that portions were pretty reasonable. Things we ordered: -Pineapple fried rice: Very fragrant with the char and flavorful. Seasoned very well. We opted for mild spice on this. I would order this again. -Chicken pad thai: Done very well! Some places the pad thai is too sweet, but this one was very balanced and had a good tamarind flavor. Medium spicy was a bit on the spicy side, but perfect for me! Would order this again. -Duck larb: Unique, but I couldn't tell it was duck. My partner enjoyed this more than I did. The portion for the larb was on the smaller side and it came with some lettuce, radish, carrots, cucumbers. -Mee kati ground pork: A very unique dish that not many Thai restaurants seem to have, in which it came with noodles, and a variety of toppings like beans sprouts, lettuce, green beans, peanuts, and cilantro. It came with a fermented curry gravy, and it delicious! I would totally order this again. -Green Thai tea: Quite fragrant and not too full on half and half like some other places have it. It's also not as sweet as another local Thai restaurant. I would actually order this again. -Classic Thai tea: Strong Thai tea flavor, also not too sweet. Overall, Hiso was a great Thai/Lao restaurant and I would totally come back and recommend this place!

The red curry was really good imo but my husband said it could have been thicker and more flavorful. The pad thai was decently spicy for a medium rating. Very good flavor and I would say one of the better pad thais you can get in Sacramento. Not overly saucy like in some places. We also ordered the Tum Luang Pra Bang, green papaya salad with fermented fish sauce. I will say, the execution and the quality of ingredients were superb, I personally couldn't get past the flavor, but my mom, a stronger SEA woman, loved it! The staff was very nice and polite. The ambiance was very cute, gave cafe/small restaurant vibes. I have been in the area for awhile and this place has been a revolving door of restaurants. I hope this one sticks!

I also always take friends and family visiting here and it never disappoints. The yelp wait is pretty accurate, so I recommend joining before you head over to avoid having to wait there. Last time I went and checked, it was about an hour wait so I joined it and did some grocery shopping nearby before going there. I've had everything on the menu so it's up to the point where it depends on what I'm feeling. Everything on the menu is different so it's not too hard to choose. If I want something soupy, I'll go for the crab udon, if I want rice, the fried rice, something full of flavor, the Banh Mi Chao, something light, then the Banh Khot (good option since they don't make Banh Xeo on the weekends). The last time I went 07/04/2026, I noticed on the wall they were having a special, Bun Bo Hue, which I love when I go to pho restaurants. I'm not sure if it's new or I've been blind this whole time, but it did not disappoint. It was full of flavor, and it was nice that they put the spicy paste on the side for you to adjust the spiciness. I love spicy foods but one of my friends do not, so it was easy for us to enjoy our meal. It was also not just a spicy sauce to add; there was a past along with it. Shrimp paste maybe? I didn't ask, but it enhanced the flavor, so I recommend using it. Their sister restaurant, Me's Kitchen is next on my list to try. Can't wait!

We ordered a few dishes to share - 2 bánh khọt (Vietnamese mini pancakes), 1 xôi thập cẩm (sticky rice), 1 bánh mì chảo (filet mignon), and 2 cà phê dừa (coconut coffee). An order of bánh khọt came with 7 pancakes and a side of veggies and fish sauce. The pancakes were really crispy, and they were delicious, especially wrapped with the veggies. I just wished they gave more lettuce or at least allowed refills. More veggies was an extra charge. The xôi thập cẩm and bánh mì chảo were also good. The cà phê dừa was blended so it was more smoothie-like. The sweet coconut balanced out the strong coffee. Overall, we had a great and filling lunch. The restaurant was modern, polished, and inviting.

A drink is included, and they have a soda fountain with Coke Zero (big plus for me)! The wontons are crispy and delicious and the milk bun was soft and the perfect portion! The restaurant is clean and has beautiful decorations. There are two private rooms folks can reserve as well. There were even fried whole cloves of garlic which complimented the spareribs well. The batter on the spareribs was not too thick and was crispy even though it was coated with sauce. Service was adequate as the workers refilled water and offered a plastic cup for my child. I noticed there was an emergency exit, however there were chairs blocking the door and the door was locked shut with a metal bar going across. The illuminated exit sign above the door was misleading as this door would not be suitable as an emergency exit. We did our best "research project" and ordered everything our table could justify: Thai iced coffee, coconut canopy salad, pad see ew and pad Thai with pork belly, sunset curry with tilapia, and mango sticky rice with ice cream. For science, obviously. Thai Time should put a warning label on their Thai iced coffee. One sip through each layer and the conversation stopped. We woke up. The taste buds clocked in for work. The brain sent out the announcement: "Cancel all distractions -- apparently dinner has plans for us." Good thing we listened. Thammasorn then proceeded to take us on a full Thai flavor adventure. This wasn't just dinner. This was a carefully organized attack on our ability to say, "No thanks, I'm full." The coconut canopy salad started fresh and bright, the noodles brought the comfort, the pork belly brought the celebration, the sunset curry with tilapia brought the "wait, everyone try this" moment. And the mango sticky rice with ice cream showed up at the end like a victory parade. I always read the bad reviews because I'm fascinated by the rare human ability to find sadness while surrounded by curry, noodles, and people being nice to you. They are to be safely ignored. Our experience? Five stars out of 10. Beautiful flavors, warm service, and that special energy you only get when the people behind a place actually care. Thank you, Thammasorn and Thai Time. Sacramento is lucky to have you.
