Delicious Smash Burger! Nice view of golf course. #greatbatender
Elizabeth M.

Found this little place on Yelp after shopping at the Saint Augustine Outlets. It's about 2 miles inside the gate of World Golf Village so I had to show my Drivers License. It was a little like being on vacation to drive up and have lunch here. Great little menu and I chose the Smashburger which was my first burger with the fried egg on top. It was great! I had a side salad in lieu of sweet potato Or regular fries. Ranch dressing was homemade (the good kind)). Great service! Outside is set up to have a casual lunch or if you prefer there is a seating wall and cute little sofa set up for drinks by the course.

This place is located inside The King and The Bear neighborhood. They offer lunch daily and dinner on Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays. Thursdays they offer an additional tapas menu and flights that changes frequently. Saturdays they have live music and it's always wonderful. Restaurant looks over the golf course and has 2 large fire pits outside. The staff is amazing! You have to ask for Cecilia, Jordan or Erin, they are so fun and caring. Great food and even better people to hang out with. Nice spot on meet local families and friends.

Had been wanting to try this place out since we heard they opened and we had friends who lived in WGV so we figured this would be the perfect time to check out AJ's too. I will say you do not have to live in the neighborhood or be playing the course to come here. Once you get to the gate you just let them know your are coming for AJ's. We came in around lunch time on a Saturday afternoon and were pretty surprised by how empty it was. The place is very nice and right on the green. If it wasn't for the summer heat the outdoor patio would be the place to be for food and an drink but since it's 95 outside it was inside for us. I will say the lunch menu was pretty limited. A few apps and 3 sandwich options. A burger, Chicken Bacon Ranch, and Blackened Mahi. Of course on the apps there was a "Pull Apart" Pretzel with Cheese Sauce so we had to have it. The pretzel was good but was a little tough/over cooked at the top. Just needed to be a little thicker. For my entrée I went with the Blackened Mahi Sandwich. It was very good and perfectly cooked with just the right amount of blackening seasoning. My only issue with it was I thought there was just a little too much tarter sauce on it. I will say the fries that came with it are great as well. Well have to come back maybe for dinner since the menu seems much larger then and maybe once it has cooled down a bit.

What I loved: it's close to home, with a beautiful outdoor patio and fire pit. l would honestly visit just to have a glass of wine and an appetizer overlooking the golf course. I also loved the service. The food was good, but probably priced a bit high for the portions and flavor. We each had a nice pinot noir, and then my husband ordered a side salad (Iet's put this in the love category, because this was big with plenty of veggies and even pickled onions). He got the short ribs with root beer glaze and I had the seared salmon. This will not be my first choice of dinner out, but it's nice to have a nearby option for a quick drink.

Late dinner on a Saturday night with a party of 4 was a pleasant experience at the hidden gem! This restaurant is tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood. The food was good, the service was good, the atmosphere was good! This place reminds me of a country club restaurant with public access. We enjoyed our evening and of it wasn't so far off the beaten path we would probably visit again soon. If you're in the area of the World Golf Village you should give it a try!

Visiting family that is new to the neighborhood and we tried this. Didn't realize it was in a development, but driving through it was beautiful. We came during lunch and it was pretty much empty. We had a beautiful view of the golf course. Our waitress was a server, bartender, hostess, etc for the entire place and really balanced everything beautifully. We also asked about dinner and she gave us all the info we needed and even brought out a dinner menu for us to look at. She also made us root beer floats for dessert even though it wasn't on the lunch menu! Lunch is everyday until 5, and dinner is only Thurs-Sat. Live music fridays, she said you should definitely make a reservation for that. Anyway, I look forward to visiting again. Food was fresh, delicious, and service was top notch.

Going into AJ's I knew they would have a great bar selection as it's inside the King and Bear Clubhouse at World Golf Village. It's easy to get to inside the gated community, just tell them your going to the Restaurant. The glass windows all the way around over looking one of the greens are an amazing site, rain or shine. There is even an outside sitting area and a casual area with a fire pit. They have live music outside every day of the week. What I didn't expect was John, the bartender. He's the only one according to him. Formerly from Jersey, John was a wonderful host, while the bar is busy at a place like this with many patrons ordering drinks bourbons and flights, he was always there to talk to us and make sure we had some amazing drinks. They have a great selections of bourbons and a great menu of hand made, fresh Ingredient cocktails , the margarita was one of those with all organic and fresh ingredient. Even when my wife wasn't sure what she wanted, he made her something that she enjoyed, not from the menu. Highly suggest checking out this hidden Gem, the food is great to, we had a pretzel charcuterie board to go along with our happy hour!

This place is a hidden gem in WGV! Excellent service. 5 star food from local farms . Top it off bartenders know what they are doing. They make custom drinks and have flights of tequila. Overlooking the golf course will certainly make you feel like you are on Vacation. We are repeat customers! Thank you bartender John and team !!

We made an early reservation since we saw they do Happy Hour 4PM to 5:00PM everyday so we had to get in on that. We walked and and were seated at our table. They made sure to let us know you can sit anywhere during Happy Hour and still get the specials where many restaurants limit it to a bar area. Rustica does a great job of Happy Hour. They have appetizers, cocktails, beer, Sake, wine, and even main course happy hour entrees too. I started off with a cocktail going for the Liliko Martini which I really enjoyed. I have really been into my Passion Fruit drinks lately. We of course had to get some of the Happy Hour appetizers too and we might have gone a little overboard but for sure worth it. We got: The Naan Bread Yellow Beet Salad Crispy Tofu Roasted Pork Belly Bao Crispy Pork and Shrimp Lumpia Japanese Style Fried Chicken These were a great way to start off dinner and not one of them were $8 or less. If I had to pick favorites the best was for sure the Roasted Pork Belly Bao. I think it might have been the best Pork Belly Bao I had ever had. I was a large thick piece of Pork Belly but it just melted you your mouth and had so much flavor. We also very much enjoyed the Crispy Pork and Shrimp Lumpia which were much bigger then expected. The Japanese Style Fried Chicken was great too and the BBQ Ranch took it to the next level. For my entree I went with the Basil Crusted Roasted Monkfish which came with Vietnamese Yellow Curry, Crispy Shrimp and veggies. The Monkfish was cooked perfectly. I had a great sear on it too which gave it a bit of a crunch. I know Monkfish can sometimes be intimidated people because it was pretty ugly looking but let me tell you if it's prepared like this you're going to love it. Some of the best fish I have had. The Vietnamese Yellow Curry paired very well with it too. Wasn't too heavy and didn't over power the fish but just added an extra boost of flavor. I know what you're thinking who could was possibly be hungry for dessert but it sounded good so we ordered the Thai Milk Tea Creme Brulee and the Yuzu Cheesecake. Both were light enough that we could still really enjoy them after all we had eaten. We really like that the Thai Milk Tea Creme Brulee also had bubble boba in it which we didn't expect. We had an amazing meal and for sure be coming back sooner rather then later.

Thinking it was a hidden gem because we had never heard of it, we gave it a try. Sadly, it wasn't all we expected it to be. Once we found it hidden in the back of a small shopping center in World Golf Village, we went inside to an empty restaurant at what should've been a bustling lunchtime crowd. The restaurant had all of two employees working. The cashier/waitress asked us to seat ourselves and she brought us the menus. 5, yes FIVE, different things that we attempted to order were out of stock! How do you run a restaurant when 5 staple items are out of stock.... Hamburger patties, bacon, onion rings, and all fountain drinks including coke & dr. Pepper???? It quickly became obvious why the entire restaurant was empty! After we made alternative choices from the menu and received our meals, the waitress spent the entire time we were in her presence talking in the phone and to someone who seemed to be a regular patron that had come in after us to pick up a to-go order. I heard her say that 'today is my last day because I'm moving.' After hearing that, it made sense as to why she never came back to our table to see if we needed anything. We even had to request she bring our check so that we could pay the bill and leave. She was 'too busy' to notice we were finished & waiting.... The food that we got wasn't horrible.... Too bad the service wasn't that great. We most certainly did NOT receive a good first impression and likely won't give it a second try!

With open lines of communication, they were communicative, ensuring that our needs were met. I was very impressed with how they ensure customer satisfaction. This was my first time here, but I came with friends who had been here several times. The chicken wrap smelled outstanding and looked great. Very robust with chicken! The meatloaf my friend said was phenomenal and interestingly enough they do make it with milk. The Philly cheesesteak looked really great. The chicken pot pie however I will say was definitely not a fan favorite here. I had a different vision of pot pie, which this was not it rather it was the fact on the salty side from me. Not sure what the base was but flavor wise it definitely was not for me. But on a positive note, it was made with white meat chicken. The biscuit on top not a fan favored either. Overall, the five stars goes to the outstanding service we received and the reviews of my friends and their meal. They were very gracious here at the restaurant with taking care of the pot pie since it was not eaten. I normally wouldn't go on about hash browns but these were REALLY good! The thing that held the quiche back from being great was that there wasn't a whole lot of crab meat. Lauren had the Breakfast Burrito, added sausage to it and asked for a side of Pico which is something she learned from a previous visit. She's had this burrito before and loves it. She was going on and on about how much she loves it today as well. She actually said "I wish this place was closer to our house because we'd be here way more often" to which I replied "yeah but we have University Diner right by our house, so we're not hurting". Which leads me to a very funny situation: A gentleman showed up at our table like 30 seconds later and said "Hi, I hear you guys go to University Diner? Do you know Andrew? He's my son". We were like "YES! We know Andy!" but the funnier thing was like Lauren had a revelation and said "OH! THAT'S why I love this breakfast burrito so much!"
