This…read moreunique shop located in Pearlridge Center Wai Makai side and is not your typical shop as it seems to be more for the collectors as in the back there's a wall filled with Funko Pop and Pokémon cards in display case among finding some unique characters like One Piece and Skzoo to name a few though the load of Sanrio and Pokémon are found here as well. This spacious shop is very clean and organized which makes it very easy to browse and see what they have to offer, and seems like they also buy, sell and trade items as well which is pretty cool though not sure how it's done but for the true collector this is a great deal and a valuable convenient place to do so, it's not quite my vibe but is a cute shop which many seem to enjoy. Being it's his first hobby grade RC I wasn't ready to go all in on an expensive one. The man that answered was very helpful and immediately knew what route I was leaning toward. He had a beginner friendly option that just so happened to be on sale and available for a super good price. I couldn't pass it up. The buggy came RTR with 2 batteries and a charger with a decent tool kit. PERFECT! We came in and just the sight and smells of the good old hobby shop brought me right back to the days when I got my first one. My son's face made it all worth it. Such a helpful staff that made sure we knew how everything operated and gave us a few suggestions for future trucks I was already drooling over lol. All in all, this is a great local hobby shop that has options for people of all experience ranges. We came for the first time about half hour before opening on Friday for the new Pokémon Pitch Black release. While waiting in line a staff member came out and gave a free pack to everyone waiting in line as a thank-you! That was an absolute 1st for me and such a nice surprise. The store layout is similar to stores in the Bay Area with various cards in glass cases and less valuable cards in bins organized by sport and age. I am bit out of touch with card collecting as it's been several decades since I kept up. The market has changed where they are now a commodity. Those in-the-know will attest to that. Caught up with the momentum of history possibly being made the following week, I bought a Patrick Mahomes card. Thank you to Dave and Jeff who manned the store and answered questions as they came up. They told me that the owner, Calvin, has been in the business for quite a while and I might have likely shopped at his store in the '90's when the hobby was still of interest to me.

The faces were stained (see photo 2 and 4), the kuromi hat was a STICKER (see photo 1). The entire product was smudged and ripping. Even the foot was BACKWARDS (see photo 6). I get that there are replicas of popular name brand product but at least tell me that it is a replica or it's not authentic. OR in the very least have the product not look like shit and paying the same price as an authentic one. These are HORRIBLE. I have my genuine afternoon tea series pochacco next to the box they sold to me and I am VERY DISAPPOINTED. The head is crooked, I can see the stitch ripping on its head (see photo 4), and there's a black smudge on his face. This is not worth $30, even if I didn't know what the real one looked like. I WILL NEVER BE SHOPPING HERE AGAIN. As a small business owner, I would never sell something of this quality to anyone. This is shameful. Very disappointed in product quality.

I contacted this place to trade in or sell some mid era Pokémon cards. I was told they were…read moreinterested and paid 70% trade or cash. I had over 2100 cards and scanned each one on TCG and got a total market value over over $600. When I went in Friday night to bring the cards the manager Stephen was not there but I was helped by a friendly gentleman that took down my information. I was texted Sunday evening by Stephen and offered $153 for everything! I was floored because that was no where near 70% of what the TCG market value was. I declined and he inquired on what price I was looking to get. I said I'd like at least $450 based on the market and being told 70%. He proceeded to say that there were "nearly 1500 cards...and average 30cents/card. No other store is going to offer more than $50 on it." I told him that there were 2182 cards and that we scanned each one. He then proceeded to offer $145 for the cards that "weren't bulk". I told him I'd be by around 5:30 and we could chat. When I arrived I told the young lady I was there to see Stephen. Another gentleman stood up and handed my box of cards. I said Stephen told me that there were some he was interested in. Stephen then came out the back and said these are the ones I want for $145 and if they get mixed in with the others never mind. I said you don't want to negotiate. He said I made my offer and turned and left. I was shocked at the rudeness and unprofessional attitude. I took my box and sat down with my family and counted all the cards to make sure they were all there because after that interaction I had no trust at all. All the cards were accounted for and we got up and left. I would never go back to this establishment based on this experience and advise not to use this business for trade in / sale. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars and not 1 is because his staff were very friendly and kind.
