My dryer broke and was no longer heating (wouldn't recommend new Maytag dryers... ) . I was only available on Saturday/Sunday for the repair. I called about 5 other places who told me they couldn't come out before landing on AK Appliance repair. They did come out. My initial call was immediately received and I had an appointment booked, with all details included, in about 10 minute. The technician Agazi came out promptly on Saturday as stated. He was as friendly of a person as you'll ever meet and made sure I was aware of all costs associated with this repair step by step. Once agreeing on the quote, which was within $50 of the estimate given on the phone beforehand, Agazi disassembled then reassembled my dryer handily all within about an hour and a half. It was impressive to watch. During the process he was diligent in vacuuming out all of the built up lent that had accumulated while it was accessible , which I greatly appreciated. One thing that stood out to me about Agazi was that he said he was thinking about this repair the night before. I liked knowing that my repair was cared about and planned out days in advance so that everything was done right the first time. When the moment of truth finally came and Agazi went to turn my dryer back on... it dried the first time with no issues. Just fantastic service all the way around. Came out this past fall to repair a broken icemaker in my Jenn Air refrigerator. Charged $85 trip charge and completed a "hard reset." Told us to call them if it didn't fix it. Obviously it did nothing as other repairmen have told us there is no such thing. When we called them they said they needed to order a part and would call when it was in. Never heard from them again. Save your money and call a real repair service. read more

Our LG refrigerator stopped cooling Friday after we bought $400 worth of food for the upcoming coronavirus school closure. We called AK Appliance repair and Agazi showed up within an hour, diagnosed the issue with the compressor and connected me with someone who could help right away. The other person was abke to come and replace the compressor the same day. Afterwards, Agazi came back to check up on how we are doing and make sure all is well. I called on December 29th to have dishwasher repaired. Charge of $202.50. That repair lasted 2 1/2 months. Came back March 11th. Charged me $75 to tell me I needed a new part. Returned on March 18th, charged me $378 parts and labor. The dishwasher broke again on April 13th. Total of $655.50. I emailed on April 13th and they said they would send $254. Have not seen any money and emailed again today with no response. read more

Our dryer broke and we called AK appliance repair to fix the problem. One of their technicians came out to fix the problem. He fixed the dryer and it started working while he was there. All was well until we went to run our first load of clothes through the dryer. The dryer cut out shortly after starting the load. We tried to call them again to get them to come out and look at the dryer again. This is where the problem starts. When we would call them the phone would go straight to voicemail. Then when we left a voicemail they were never returned. We sent e-mails to them and none were returned. Save your money and go else where. read more

I called on a Saturday because my Kenmore Elite stopped cooling. Agazi was very responsive and came within 1-2 hours. He efficiently diagnosed the unit and determined that the LG compressor was the problem. Unfortunately he isn't authorized to replace LG compressors. I was grateful for his honesty and his knowledge of this particular fridge and how these compressor problems were common after a few years. They came to "repair" my GE dishwasher. Charged me for a diagnosis and recommended a new fan - which they came and installed a couple of weeks later. HOWEVER - it didn't fix the problem and now they won't respond me any longer. Unless you like flushing $400 down the drain, I'd try someone more reputable. read more

Recently I used AK Appliance repair on two separate occasions for a broken washing machine and leaking ice maker. The technician was on time for both appointments and charged a fair price to fix both. The ice maker was just a service call charge. The seal on the ice maker did come off after it was fixed but the technician was immediately back out free of charge to fix it again and put a better seal on the back of the fridge. I have worked with AK Appliance repair several times for different issues now and they have always been very responsive, fixed everything and did so at a very reasonable price. My dishwasher currently went on the fritz and it took a few visits to find out what is wrong, get the right parts and get it fixed.
