Very displeased! I had spent a little more than 6 thousand dollars with them since last summer...the last straw was when I had an air leak that was causing a misfire ... So the mechanic said I had to get the valve cover replaced ... $500 dollars later it still ran the same (no power and rough idle) HE said it was because of oil leaking into the cylinder and HE SAID DRIVE IT so it can burn off... My car now needs a new engine due to damage from doing what the mechanic said to do. Never will I go there again!!! read more

She treats all her customers as if they are family and her smile brightens up the office! Jim the services writer is very honest and straight forward. He works closely with the Techs when they are inspecting your car. He is very organized and in prompt in answering all your questions. Aldo is a great Tech...he goes over everything that needs attention on your car. He takes his time explain the situation and is very knowledgeable and friendly. My preference is to have Aldo do all of the work on both of my cars. The prices are very competitive to many of the other shops in the area. Shady!!! Shady!!! Shady!!! Stay away from this place. I brought my BMW in there 3 months ago because I had an oil leak on my driveway. They apparently fixed it. Last week, the same oil leak appeared on my driveway. The leak was a perfect match of what occurred 3 months ago. I brought my car back to Akbar and Mike, the shady salesman, told me that it would be another $950 to fix my car. Why would I pay another $950 to fix the problem that I had 3 months ago? Mike tried to tell me that it was coming from a different area and not the same place. Mike is condescending and rude. He seems like a nice guy but in reality he is a crook. What really bums me out is that my 80 year old parents have been coming to this place for years. I wonder how many times they have been ripped off. The office is dirty and unorganized. There is no place to park in the property. Every time I've been there Mike has always put down different auto service shops. Why does he feel it's necessary to put down other shops? I don't get it. There is another Akbar service on Benson which is not related to this one. Check out their Yelp reviews. They get good reviews. Mike continuously put them down. We brought our Merceds and they never repaired it, they kept telling us they were still working on it! Anyway on the following Saturday I was checking air pressure and noticed that on the inside of the left front tire cord was showing. I have took my BMW 645 CI 2005 here for a lot of different reason once I took my BMW here I notice that I had problem after problem. one is that I had the water pump replaced but guess what they never changed it out! I had took it to the BMW dealer and they let me know it was never changed!!!!! two I have a water leak that makes a puddle in the back seat on the floor spend over 1500 to fix that leak and guess what once again i have the same problem kept taking it back and back for them to fix it what i paid for but realized that they didn't know what they were doing! MIKE JR. has a good mouth on him that he can sell you a dream. hes the one with good customer service but his father MIKE SR. will tell you anything you want to here so they can get your money!!!!!! Fast reliable service. I only bring my Audi here. They take great care of me and my vehicle. It's hard to find that these days trust me. I've been to Audi West Covina and also the new Audi in Ontario. Both are extremely overpriced and the wait is excruciating. Never, ever again!! Will I take or recommend anyone go to Akbar on Foothill...I have taken my 2004 745I there since my factory warranty expired in 2009. I have wasted time and money (that I didn't have) especially the last time I went there. In August of 2015 I took my car in because it kept leaking oil (which it NEVER had prior to them doing an oil change) and I was charged $2353. of which $2087. was LABOR!!....they had the car all week, but even if they would have worked on it every hour they were open (which I know they didn't) that would be about $42. an hour!! Remember...this was for an oil leak they started! Guess what...my car still leaks!! NEVER AGAIN! Stay away from that place!!!! read more

We bought a 2007 BMW, started having issues, we have a code reader, called around to every BMW repair shop to get a price on what the code said was wrong. No one would quote me anything, said I had to come in for an $85 diagnostic, except Akbar who told me that code may not be what is wrong with the car but took the time to quote me anyway. Brought it in there, the code was correct, they fixed it and came in below their original quote. Love this place, our BMW shop forever now especially because they took the time to talk to me and work up a quote when no one else would. 5 star baby. read more

I guarantee the positive reviews were written by people that the managers paid off. This is the most horrible auto shop I have ever been to! All I needed was a hole patched up and they kept my car for TWO WEEKS! The owner's kid (only reason he could ever work at a place like this) didn't call me with the diagnostic results until 10 days after I had dropped it off! Every single time he called, I had to recount exactly what I'd told him numerous times before. I felt like I was getting pranked it was so ridiculous. Then they tried to charge me for a bunch of other things that I specifically asked not to be worked on. The first time I walked in, I watched them overcharge a man who had been waiting for his car all day after it had been sitting in their lot for god knows how long. That should have been my warning sign. NEVER going here again. Take my advice and don't waste your time getting ripped off. read more

Terrible experience! Left my car over night to check why a service light was on and the wanted me to do services I had already had done 3 months prior at dealer... Used a hand held code reader when I asked them about why they didn't check it on the computer (BMW correct way) they gave me a bunch of bulls**t reasons. I had an issue with my car and a friend of mine recommended this place. Do not come here. This place is a total rip off. It started off with 85 dollars for the diagnostic then it became a full diagnostic as "they could not read it" or they will need to diagnose further so now its over 300 dollars and nothing has been fixed. 1500 later, they fixed a couple of things on the car and I did not even do it all as they charged so much as they only use "OEM parts" I think not as the parts were generic. I should have asked for my old parts. Will not go back to this place and I suggest you don't either. read more

NO STARS IF IT WAS POSSIBLE.I KNOW IT IS LONG BUT PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU GO. They will get upset if someone else works on your car. i had oxygen sensors done at another shop they were working fantastic until i took it to AKBAR shop for a vacuum leak they never fixed and charged me 200 to fix. I specifically asked them to not worry about my sensors and told them they were fixed. THEY WERE REALLY PUSHY ABOUT THE SENSORS. BECAUSE THEY NOTICED THEY WERE NEW AND DONE ELSE WHERE AFTER THEY CHECKED ENGINE SERVICE SOON LIGHT (as did many shops before them) i was scheduled to bring the car to them again for gasket change. But when i got the car back the check engine light was still on and now a gas cap light and now the car has more codes than when it went in to get fixed. not to mention when i picked up the car my gas cap was missing. (they did replace it) but they tried to act like i could have lost it some how...... the gas cap is tethered and locks with the car doors when closed like really people come on did you not lock the car and someone come cut and take it....... Any ways i took it back by BMW in Ontario the manager is a friend of a friend and they told me some how the sensors got plugged in backwards. I am assuming they swapped them so i would have to go back for repairs later........ look people i dont review often but, they will be beyond shady. do not use this shop for any reason please help this man go out of business and stop hurting the people in his local economy. They will damage your car for later repairs they are not that cheaper than many other shops even the dealer..... i think my transfer case fluid replacement here saved me 50 dollars over going to the dealer. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not let him touch your car. they will try their hardest to keep you coming back even if they just do some shady stuff like put sensors backward so a service light stays on. again i beg you do not do it if you and your family rely on your vehicle for school work or anything. please do not go here..... EVER.....you will be back every week for months according to another friend. Its how he has been in business for so long.
