Been coming here for over a dozen years. Multiple cars I've owned have come here for basic maintenance like oil changes and break replacement, to big fixes requiring my car to stay for several days. Extremely disappointing experience. My mom brought her car here specifically to have the A/C repaired and paid for the service. When she got the car back, the A/C still did not work. She returned to the shop expecting them to correct the issue since she had already paid to have it fixed. Instead, she was told that she could not receive a refund and would need to pay for an additional service to actually fix the A/C. When she understandably asked why the problem wasn't fixed the first time, despite already paying for the repair, she was told that "the car has to be ran longer, about an hour." That explanation made very little sense considering the vehicle had been brought in specifically because the A/C wasn't working. At that point, she chose to leave rather than pay them again for an issue she had already paid them to repair. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this shop. If a customer pays to have a specific problem fixed and the problem remains, the appropriate response should be to stand behind the work and make it right--not ask the customer for more money. read more

I had work done on my Mercedes ML350. Nothing major, mostly Maintenance and Smog related. Before I dropped it off at Haven Auto Repair, I was using the Air conditioner in the ML350, It was working fine. When I picked it up, the fan was on but the AC was not cooling. I will return it to Haven Auto repair this week. I hope to have it resolved quickly. read more

Took my jeep in for oil change and ac service, did a great job but, took a day and a half. They charge you for a diagnostic And the service, almost 1000.00, made about 100% profit on refrigerant, shouldn't have to pay diagnostic if they do the repair work. Have taken 2 other cars there, won't be going back. Too expensive. read more

I would like to share my experience with Haven Auto Repair. I reviewed reports on them and decided to try them out. It was a great decision as they are truly a class act. They provided me with a detailed quote of the work proposed. They completed the work on time and contacted me when the work was completed and had the car ready when I arrived. This was such a good experience I elected to have some other work done the next week. Again I received a detailed quote of the work to be preformed and I elected to have it done. They called and said that a change needed to be made to the estimate and I said to continue. They texted me a revised quote and I texted the approval back to them. They called the next day that the work was done and again the car was ready when I went to get it. All I can say it was great experience to have a professional auto repair facility available for car repairs. My husband and I came here as walk ins for a smog check for my truck. We were greeted by a very nice young lady. The waiting room is very clean and they offer drinks while you wait. We paid (they give AAA discount too) and they took our truck back. It was in and out within 20 minutes. It was such a nice and refreshing experience. They do all sorts of repairs here too. I am writing this review, because my friend had a very bad experience here. Her Jaguar SUV was purchased at CarMax with the warranty. When she took the vehicle to this shop because they honor the CarMax warranty... The vehicle was shaking a bit, noticeably enough to inquire a mechanic. Long story short, at the time she took the vehicle in the man was aggressive with her nearly making her cry. She picked up the vehicle and was charged near $6,000. Stating they fixed it. Since then her car sounds like a diesel truck! So, bad she doesn't want to drive it. At my request because we have had a great experience with the affiliated mechanic Rancho Auto Care, we asked her to come back and see if the same guys at Haven Auto Repair could fix the issue they caused. Well, they called to tell her they fixed it to pick it up it would be $170. When she got there the same rude guy charged her $219. Get this!!! For the oil change that was completed for her vehicle. That the vehicle didn't need cause it hadn't been driven! Unbelievable! I feel awful for my friend. I will NOT recommend this place at least not to any of my female friends. read more

I'm not a huge fan of this place. Overall everyone is nice and everyone has good customer service but the way they price their services is not right. I went in for an issue with my truck and long story short, they needed to unplug a wire from the OBD port and zip tie it. They wanted to charge me over $300 for something that probably took them less than 10 min. When I questioned why such a high charge, the advisor stated it was due to them having to check the health of the vehicle and all the other tests they had to run. When I went to pick up my vehicle I asked for a breakdown of what the charges were and all they showed me was the paperwork of the services I denied and my final price. So honestly I wouldn't really recommend this place unless you're in a situation. They overcharge like crazy and the diagnostic fee does not go towards labor and parts. read more

Brought my car into these guys for a smog and sensor gage repair. Alerted them prior that I had an engine light on and that it was for an oil pressure sensor out. Charged me 178 dollars for just an inspection, only to tell me the issue was exactly what I told them. Friendly service however and quick updates but overcharge you like crazy. Didn't end up going with them, due to total coming out to 400+ just for replacing the sensor that you can get for 50 bucks at AutoZone. Do NOT recommend if you're looking for a more budget-friendly place. read more

Bait and Switch......made a reservation for an oil change. Brought in my coupon as it's $10-$20 less than all the other oil changes my had has had at other shops. Proceeded to quote me $139 and try to get me to believe that the I require premium synthetic oil as they only use the low grade basic stuff. Yeah totally high quality auto repair shop. Response: if you upgrade my oil then you offer me the upgrade cost not the full oil change with oil + upgraded oil as well. That's like me buying 2x as much oil as needed. read more

Our family mechanic closed his shop and we were in search of a worthy replacement. Of course, Yelp was our "go to" resource and our fellow Yelpers didn't let us down! We trusted Yelp's 4.5-star rating and gave Haven Auto Repair a try when our car door wouldn't open. I called the shop and they were able to accommodate our schedule with a next day appointment at 9am, which was the day before Thanksgiving. The hubby & I brought our car in and were greeted by friendly staff at the counter. In fact, my name was on the "Welcome Board"! We met with the owner, Mehrdad (sp?), and he checked out the problem with our door and gave us probable reasons as to why it wouldn't open. We left it at the shop and within an hour or so, after they had taken the door apart, I received a call & a text message with a picture of the broken door handle. They needed to order the part which was to be delivered the day after Thanksgiving. We brought the car back that Friday morning and by late afternoon, we got it back with a working door! They even gave us the old piece showing us exactly where the broken piece was. We were so impressed with the customer service and repair, that we brought our daughter's car in for an oil change, and referred my father-in-law here for an electrical problem with his car. Every single employee that we encountered at Haven Auto Repair was professional and friendly! We have found our new family mechanic! Did I mention they have yummy cookies in the lobby? If I could rate a zero I would, I would highly highly recommend that you get at least two estimates when dealing with this company. Who knows may be they just didn't want to to the work. They will lie to you, they will charge you for thing that don't need to be done, and then over charge you. You are better off taking it to the dealer. I let them know that the engine light came on and test code P2646 Rocker arm control valve stuck open and to do an oil change. They got a hold of my wife let her know that it would be $110 for a oil change and $75 to do a diagnostic to read the code. So later on that day the contacted us saying hey did the diagnostic test and it had a code P2646 Rocker arm control valve stuck. So I let the person know that I already knew that and wrote on the paperwork along with the key the night before. I must of hurt his feelings because all of a sudden his attitude changed an told me he does have the paperwork and this is his finding and then proceeded to let us know that it would be $600 to fix the Rocker arm control valve on a $45 part on the very high end. Then when I question him about the to other screens that needed to be replaced he got frustrated that I knew what needed to be done and told me it would not be included. We let him know we need to think about it, I immediately drove down there to pick the car up. When I got there they were very shady they told me to wait to wait 10- 15 minutes while they put the car back together then about 5 minutes later I saw the car drive by and thought to myself if they are working on it in the shop why is it coming over from a parking lot on the other side of the build. about 5 minutes later I went outside to talk to my wife letter her know the need to but the car back together and the she told me she saw it drive by as well then I noticed the car parked outside the garage. I went back inside and they told be they are almost done it would be about 10 minutes. So I went out side took a picture of the car sitting out side the garage. ( the tan Honda accord in the middle ) Knowing the car was never inside the garage I went back inside and asked them what is taking so long the guy at the coner went in the office the some little kid came out and started blaming me that it was my fault because I did let him know I was coming and that the car was being worked on in the garage and that it was on the rack then I asked him again why is it sitting outside he proceeded to tell me it was on the racks as you can see by the picture it was not on the racks. Right after that I went outside and the other guy pulled the car up front and gave me the keys. The car was never on the racks never made it inside the garaged and from the time my wife and I saw the car drive by it never need any additional work or anything put back to gether. So because I questioned their authority and didn't let them take advantage of us.. They got mad at us and made us wait there for no reason for over half an hour. Ewww...they showed us!!! read more
