Teriyaki Beef
Becca H.

Good but not great. We've been meaning to check this out for awhile because we've seen a lot of positive recommendations for it & we live nearby. Finally came in on a Saturday evening & were seated right away, it was semi busy but not had some open tables. Started with some soda, unfortunately Pepsi products here. Got the spring rolls. They were flavorful but we wished there were more for the price. One each just isn't a great portion. For entrees I had the teriyaki beef. I wasn't expecting it to come out sizzling but was pleasantly surprised by that. It was obviously fresh and delicious with green beans (they could've used a little more seasoning). My husband got the Mongolian beef and he didn't enjoy his quite as much. He said not enough meat with his vegetables. We will likely try this again as there were other things on the menu we wanted to try. Will update whenever we do that!

A great local restaurant. Nice feel as soon as you walk in. Friendly and prompt service. Small but roomy so you don't feel shoved up to the next person. Don't feel like You're are almost eating off the neighbors plate. We ordered the yakitori appetizer, the teriyaki salmon and the sushi. All were great and very enjoyable. Was a bit pricey at $86 as we could only order from the dinner menu on Sunday's. We'll go back and grab something from the lunch menu as the prices are a little less steep during the week. Overall a very good lunch. We'll be back.

I have to say never in my life would I have tried a peach sushi roll. However it was absolutely delicious. I was so surprised how well the flavors went together. Definitely recommend coming here for this roll alone. Personally I wish they had more raw options but this roll made me very happy. We also ordered the roti but it seemed very greasy. I am used to the curry sauce being thicker in texture at other locations so it threw me off how liquid it was. the softshell crab was a little too over fried for my liking in the spider roll. The service was quick and friendly. He answered all of our questions and we were seated almost immediately. It was around 6pm when we went there on a Friday evening. It's a cute little restaurant but seems a little dated inside. Overall I'd say come to try the peach roll but that's about it.

This place is always spot on! I've never had a bad meal here. I'm vegetarian but my family eats everything so there is something for us all! There are 6 different vegetarian dishes and 3 vegetarian sushi rolls. The tofu is AMAZING!! The meal hit the spot. Can't wait to go back.

Restaurant is cozy and we were excited to visit during happy hour. I was glad there were no crowds. Service was excellent and food was outstanding. Can't wait to return!

Akina fried rice (without the tomato sauce)

Our server was amazing and super sweet. She made sure we were taking care of. Unfortunately the restaurant itself seemed to be overwhelmed with the busyness. If you do like average Asian food, this is good. Everything is very saucy. I ordered some sushi with eel, because eel is my favorite. There was barely any eel in it and the piece I could find was dried out. The only flavor I could taste was the cream cheese. My daughter LOVED their fried rice (which we ordered without the tomato sauce....). It's a smaller restaurant, and seems to be busy, which is good.

Stop by on a Saturday night and this place was packed. I was in the area and we decided to dine here. Our server was nice, but the kitchen was defiantly backed up. We were on a time crunch as well. Sushi was a bit overly packed with rice and the calamari did not look crispy brown at all. Food was mediocre and not much flavor. some of our food we order came out, but told the waiter to pack it to go. Unfortunately the plate looks like it had more food on it then in our to go container.

We were in Orlando for vacation and have friends that live there. They recommended this restaurant because they visit it often and love it. Now I know why they love it. The restaurant is a part of a shopping strip mall, but it is highly prominent so you can't miss it. The indoors is warm, clean, and welcoming. We were seated right away. The service was great. She kept the drink refills coming. Now, let's get to the REALLY good stuff...the food! If you're used to going to one of those "...Express" chains for your Asian food, you will be blown away at Akina. The food here is authentic, the portions are great, and the food tastes delicious. I love going to an Asian restaurant and the food isn't dripping in grease or overly saturated with sauce (like some are). Make sure to check out the captions of the photos I posted here so you can see for yourself how delicious the food comes through even in the photos!

BEST SUSHI SPOT IN TOWN! I just moved here from California and my goodness it is rough to find some quality , non franchised food around here, especially as a VEGAN!! However, after discovering Akina, I have hope! The Vegan Avocado & Peach sushi roll is fantastic and something I have never had before! The Veggie Pad Thai is really good, although I feel like there could be more noodles, and the Jasmine Tea is great! I always have an incredible server, white guy with Jamaican vibe lol! My only con is the napkins and silverware are out of date , and should be changed ASAP! Overall, I love this place and I'll be there later!

I've only tried the shrimp tacos so far, but they were really good, and I usually pair them with a beer while enjoying the view. It is a little on the pricier side, but the atmosphere and location make it worth it for me. Overall, it's a really great place to have in Clermont and definitely somewhere I'd recommend if you're looking for a casual spot with great outdoor seating and scenic views.

That is not a problem and to be expected. Luckily we had cash. What's disturbing is how I witnessed them treat customers who were already seated and were not properly notified that the POS system went down. They notified the customers AFTER they were served and were ready for the check. These customers had every intention to pay (via cashless transaction) and were blindsided by the fact that only cash was accepted. Instead of working with the patrons and finding a solution, they called the police. These patrons never raised their voice, never said they weren't going to pay, and to my knowledge remained reasonable until a solution could be identified. Imagine my surprise to see these patrons being met with POLICE escorting them out as if they committed a crime. This business showed lack of patience, concern, and EMPATHY. Our society is quickly becoming cashless, so it's not uncommon for people to carry little/no cash. The fact that this business saw it acceptable to call the police for something so minuscule is unfortunate. I will not return.

The fresh horseradish, mignonette, and crackers are always a great pairing, and those crackers are still so incredibly buttery. We were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and almost immediately after we were seated, we were greeted by her taking our beverage orders. I opted for the lobster grilled cheese with the kettle chips. The sandwiches were really big, but it was very delicious. The lobster is slightly chilled and they add Swiss and cheddar cheese to it. It was very tasty. The chips were good. I definitely could've done with less chips as it felt like they were overtaking the plate. My husband got the Texas wings. Which had the Texas dry rub with a honey glaze over them. Kind of gave you a spicy and sweet take. He said they were very tasty. Well seasoned and well cooked. Restaurant was not overly busy and had plenty of staff to accommodate the small amount of guests. Waited almost an hour for our food with no apology from management. When our burgers were delivered our server claimed the kitchen made our burgers incorrectly- she either forgot to put it in or it had been sitting for quite sometime. Top burger bun was luke warm. Fries (that were an additional cost) were burnt. For the $17 price one would expect more than a thin slice of bacon for a burger with bacon in the name. "Enjoyed" the meal without anything to drink as I was never offered a refill of water.
