However, there was a fellow in an electric wheelchair making his way down the ramp as we were coming up, and we all made it up (and down) easily enough with just a pause. Hostess desk is immediately in the entrance. Very personable lady said it'd be a 25-minute wait, and that was pretty accurate. I gave her my phone number and received a message to download Yelp! including a "Your place in line" feature. Benches to sit and wait - one outside and three inside. We were 4th in line, and then 2nd, and then 1st. I felt a vibration from the phone but saw no message. So I went to the desk to check, and they were ready anyhow with 4 empty tables. Seated us quickly and our waitress Ashley was there in short time. Paula (wifey) ordered some Egg Sandwich and a small order of French Toast. I ordered Southern Benedict, which was a buttermilk biscuits base, topped with a fried chicken patty, 2 poached eggs, and smothered in a creamy sausage gravy, and it came with an order of home fries. We were both very happy with the flavor and portions. In fact I was rather full and didn't eat the last 3 or 4 bites. I also had an iced coffee, which was nice and strong. The place is very much where neighbors and families meet and greet. Lot's of "Norm!!" moments. Pricing if fairly average -- it was (with a 20% tip) $45 for us two. My only complaint had nothing to do with the restaurant, but with adults who don't know how to tell a kid not to do shrill whistling in a restaurant. No more details on that. Again, not the restaurant's fault. We definitely would like to go there again, especially to order some bacon, as that, in my estimation, is a very important factor for breakfast -- I just didn't have any reason for it this time, what with the chicken and the sausage gravy.

I got two dogs all the way without onion in order of fries and a coffee milk The fries came out and my shoestring, which are not exactly my favorite type of fry, but they were fried well. Apparently, if you ask for fat french fries you'll get the thicker cut ones which I will remember for next time. The hot dogs were well cooked and sauced. The buns seemed fresh. Service was friendly and prompt. The inside was largely the same as I remembered it. I sat at the counter and could view the galley kitchen, which seemed to be very clean. Prices weren't bad. I will likely return.

By that point, one person in our group had already left to get Wendy's because he was tired of waiting. Once we finally ordered, there were still no drink refills. We asked for waters for the table and were brought five glasses with, "I have five waters, who wants one?" We had 17 people. It was just kind of unbelievable. Our food didn't come out until almost two hours after we arrived. By then everyone was hungry and thirsty. There were two kids in our group, and it would have been nice if their meals had at least come out earlier. Or bring us bread or something to hold us over. We also had to ask for salt and pepper because there wasn't any on the table. They brought one set for all 17 of us. We asked for another and eventually got one more set. I understand large parties can be challenging, but if the restaurant can't handle a reservation that size, it probably shouldn't accept it. The one positive was our server. She was very nice and seemed to be doing the best she could. I really wish I could say the food made up for the wait, but it was just average. Nothing was bad, but nothing was memorable either. Overall, it was a really disappointing experience.

You really can't find this pizza in Rhode Island or in Southern MA, so this was a great find. Staff were friendly and attentive. I didn't get any alcoholic drinks cause it was pretty early and not much of a day drinker, but it had a really good vibe and I'm sure it's a lot of fun at night. The drink menu looked really good so I'll likely come back for drinks and apps. There's a cute outdoor seating area. It was pretty hot so we sat inside, but I'm sure this is a great place to sit at night time once the sun goes down and it cools off.

The accompaniments were nice though and consisted of heirloom carrots, cucumbers, olives, cherry tomatoes, asparagus, pickled cauliflower, carrot, and a pepperoncini, all served alongside some buttery round crackers that were like a Ritz cracker's more refined cousin. The veggies saved the plate, but the hummus needs to find its way back. I suppose it could have just been an off batch and won't prevent us from trying it again. Cocktails were great, as usual. I had the Anana with scotch. I love pineapple and this has muddled pineapple and basil, pineapple juice, cracked black pepper. It's my go-to here and it delivered again. My partner went adventurous and ordered the Jungle Booby, which is built around tequila blanco and mezcal with campari, pineapple, grapefruit, lime, orgeat, and an absinthe spritz. The flavors were genuinely good, but the smokiness from the mezcal was a bit much for her taste. She followed it up with a glass of rosé and had no complaints after that. I went in at 10 a.m. The place is clean and reminds you of a 50's style diner, but I was saddened to see that they took the little juke boxes off the tables the other reviewer talked about. The waitress was nice and so was the lady who took our money, but I go to a restaurant or diner because of the food. The food was quick and the eggs were cooked correctly, but other than that--horrible. The homefried potatoes were the kind that are frozen or come par cooked to save the cook some time. I don't know--in an old fashioned diner I expected home cooked potatoes and not the half cold and half hardened little lumps of potato that were on my plate. The bacon--looked and tasted like salty microwave bacon and the toast was cold when the food came to me. My friend ordered a cup of coffee--which they served with milk instead of cream or half-n-half and I ordered a Diet Coke, which was flat and gross. We quickly ate our food and left. Well have to be real feeling disappointed. Came in last week a super nice older lady was my waitress. I told her I would kill for a grilled cheese and ham with home fries. She happily made my order and brought it along with my husbands regular breakfast. Today I go in, grab a booth, and I'm having the worst pregnancy craving for the grilled ham and cheese with home fries and I'm told it's 9 am you can't have lunch at breakfast. If you add eggs to it you can have it though, I'm so confused a grilled ham and cheese is not ok, but I can totally have a grilled ham and cheese if I put eggs in it. I was willing to pay the price for the egg if they held it but apparently it's not a thing anymore from last week. I come to this diner a lot, the food is really good. I remember when it was first open. I was so happy to have it re open under new ownership, they have not disappointed me at all. The waitress staff are really friendly they easily remember my face and my order. I have never had any of them be rude or disrespectful. Again the food is delicious! Absolutely fabulous little diner! I've been here several time now and I love it. I normally get the sweet bread French toast and bacon. I cannot recommend the corned beef hash enough, real corned beef, sweet onions, filling potatoes, definitely not the canned trash I'm used to. The prices are so reasonable, cheaper, and tastier than ihop. read more

Pretty standard early 20th century greasy spoon with all the staples done very well. Love that they offer beans as an add on for breakfast. Sweet bread French toast is a favorite of my wife. Great food, great service. Sway was the only waitress in the restaurant and every seat was taken and the restaurant was on a wait. She managed to give all of the tables incredible service while managing all of her tables. On top of that the food was incredible. Highly recommended. read more

We love Al Mac's! We went there for breakfast one day and my husband had eggs and sausage. The portion was large and the price very reasonable. They also have a wide variety of omelets. I tried the scallop omelet and it was absolutely delicious. read more

However, with that being said the service is awful and the quality of the once decent food is starting to decline. I received a room temp Coffee Milk today and upon asking for a replacement or refund, received an attitude from the server. Instead of an apology or even expressing concern, she went back and forth with me about what time she poured the milk, that it was hot outside, etc... I've ordered this exact meal plenty of times and have never received room temp milk, even on a hot day. Didn't ask for my name or order number, just said I would get a refund and then hung up on me (this was for a delivery order). I had to call back to clarify if they had my information or not. My eggs were overdone and I've started to notice some days they will fill both small sections of the takeout container with hashbrowns completely, and some days there's barely any in there. There is no consistency at this place anymore. After 2 years of ordering from this location I have started to dwindle down how much I order from here because of the ongoing quality issues. After being given room temp milk and then an attitude for reporting it, I think this was the last time I order from here at all.
