I wanted to give a huge shoutout to the owner Ari and his entire staff. Ari is a true stand-up guy who leads with passion and humility. He genuinely cares about his restaurant and the people he serves. A lot of owners would get defensive over something as minor as "the home fries weren't well done enough," but not Ari. We've been to Hamilton Diner many times and the food is consistently delicious. On this visit, our home fries weren't quite as crispy as we'd asked for. It was a small thing that honestly wouldn't have affected our rating at all -- we know how busy things can get. What impressed me most was Ari personally coming to our table to apologize and bringing out a fresh replacement. He didn't have to do that, but he did - and that's exactly why we'll keep coming back. This is the new hot spot for breakfast in the area. The owner gave a well needed face lift to the exterior & the interior also. The interior looks great & refreshing. The restaurant is very clean. I've met the owner twice as he tries to get around the diningroom before you leave to make sure your experience was a good one & personally thank you. I feel that in itself makes a big difference in quality control & guaranteeing he is hearing his customers & perhaps can make changes before it becomes a business-changing problem. (Sometimes a few bad reviews spread like wildfire & changing rumors back to the truth can hurt the bottom line). There is a delightful waitress you'll be glad to have serve you if you are lucky enough to be seated at her table. "Grandma (name)?" is a very happy way to start your day. She knows the menu well & can make you smile on your worse days. The menu has plenty to choose from & the portions sizes..epic! Eggs Benedict is 3 egg size. Pancakes & French toast orders are enough for today & tomorrow without adding eggs or meat. But their prices are similar to other places lessor size plates. There is an ramp at the entrance for those with mobility issues. There are a couple of handicap spots too. I do not know if the restrooms are wheelchair friendly as I didn't check it out yet. Even on a packed Sunday morning, the kitchen was quick moving the food out.. the waitress was right on top of refills too. Definitely worth stopping in & giving it a try but bring your appetite. 1st time going here. Cinnamon bun latte- delicious- very good even had microfoam. Was not expecting this at all for a restaurant latte. Coffee- delicious. Fresh squeezed oj- amazing. I ordered the small which was a generous size for the price! Steak bomb omelette- the steak was beautifully seasoned and the mushrooms may have been portobello they had a nice chew/bite to them. Had cheese in it but not overdone on the cheese. My husband had biscuits and gravy. He's a tough critic on this dish and he said this one is at the top of the list compared to ones he's had at other restaurants. It came with eggs and homefries on the side. The marble rye he ordered on the side ,it was nice and thick and had a really nice chew to it. The service was wonderful. From the hostess to the server and the owners. It's evident that the owners care about the patrons experience as they stopped by to ask about our experience) Very calming and warm atmosphere. This breakfast spot appeals to all generations as we saw people of all ages eating here. They have something for everyone. Definitely recommending this place to family and friends. My friends and I were out on another leg of the Lord of the Rings RI Food Fight and we began our day here. The place is cute and cozy, we were sat right away. Our server was very friendly and helped us decide what kinds of wings we wanted. She was awesome, I wish I could remember her name. We had two coupons so we chose the spicy peach winter berry wings and the hot honey wings. With lots of blue cheese dressing on the side! We were really impressed with the wings here. Nice and crispy, and both sauces were very good. I liked the spicy peach better but all the wings were eaten quickly. Most of the group lives in the area and were pleased to see the great breakfast and lunch options available every day, all day. The Hamilton Diner is an amazing spot! I had no idea how good it would be, until I walked in. I came because they are on the list for RI Food Fights best sandwich RI. The choices were a southern chicken and waffles breakfast sandwich or another very fancy sounding sandwich. Super fancy and impressive. When it came out, I was blown away. It was massive and it was yummy! I sat at their little coffee bar and Sam and Jacob took really great care of me! Sam had a hot chocolate in my hands in a matter of moments, and then I saw one of their specialty lattes (the little Debbie cake Xmas one) and wow! I will def be back! It looks like a show stopper! Ari, the owner, personally came over and asked about my experience. I told him the service had been great, the food and drink hot and yummy, and the customers personable and wonderful. Ari told me the restaurant was named after his grandparents hotel in upstate New York. I loved how he chose that as the inspiration for the places name. Honestly for a diner I was shocked how good this was. The waitress was super kind, friendly loved some good banter. Place was busy! Love to see a local business thrive. Little bit old on the inside, but the real impressive part was the food. The potato skin Benedict, should be on every diner menu I go to. The most wonderful place. Friendly, great value and now they are open Friday nights. I had the most amazing Prime Rib ever! There was a 10 minute wait for a table, but we got seats at the bar immediately. In the waiting area they had a little kids play pen, which seemed like a nice touch. Sitting at the bar by the front, it was also neat to see the hostess and waitresses welcoming some guests by name, or stopping by to say hi to someone while they were waiting for a table. It was our first time there, but it's clearly a regular spot for many! We got a veggie and cheese omelette and the potato skin Benedict. Omelette was large and the cheese was generous! The potato skin Benedict was great too, it's the loaded-potato-skins-meets-bene and it's just as good as you're picturing. I was staying in Barrington, RI and one day I ordered some breakfast via Doordash. Hamilton Diner showed up and it looked like it had a decent price. I ordered the Hamilton Kitchen Sink. What's in it? What's not in it? Pancakes topped with eggs, sausages, bacon and gravy. The portion size for takeout was pretty good relative to the price. The Hamilton Kitchen Sink is by no means a "light breakfast" but I I enjoyed it, bringing together a lot of flavors from classic diner food. I can't comment on anything about the physical diner, just that my order seemed to be fulfilled in a timely manner. If I'm in the area again, maybe I'll try eatting in there. read more

Wow! This place really gets it. You can tell by the clientele that everyone enjoys coming here. You've got the older crowd that likes the classic breakfast choices, but you also have a younger crowd that comes in for the creative specials like the Barbacoa Benedict and the eggnog latte. These are the two items I had, and they were out of this world. The place is super casual, but very cute. Came for the biscuits and gravy with over medium eggs and home fries with onions and peppers. All the food was good I really like the fact they mix the onions and peppers in the potatoes and not just place them on top. Our waitress was Ashley and she was very pleasant and helpful. This was probably the best breakfast we've ever had on the East Coast! Portions were HUGE, the home fries were perfection! I knew it was going to be great when they said they had EGG NOG LATTES!! We are from CA and were fascinated that they offered baked beans instead of home fries. We asked to try a small sample and they generously obliged. Sweet but also savory and smoky too. -Woke up this morning and was like I need to do a review. I want to start doing more and do at least one review a week. I am hungry and I do want breakfast.. Do I go to the same spot in Providence that's always consistant. Wait... I have to do a review today to start my once a week routine. Where to go... I take a right into the parking lot ( which is is behind the building and It IS PACKED but I manage to find a spot to park. 1st step accomplished.:-) -There is a small line out the door, I walk my way in to the front desk which is in the back of the building and a very nice young woman greets me and I ask how long the wait and she tells me 35-45 minutes. In my mind I was like maybe I just leave and head to Providence but I was no, Mike you have to do a review today. Let's give this place a shot. They ask for my phone number and tell me they will text me when a table frees up. 30 minutes later I get a text and I get brought my table. ( super nice wait staff here! I can't give them enough credit on how nice everyone is here! :-). She's asks me if I wanted a drink, and I didn't look at the menu yet and was like Bloody Mary? She informed very nicely they don't serve alcohol here so one large ice water it is. I get my Large ice water in like 3 minutes, I had looked at the menu during that time which was a pretty nice menu but not too big to get over whelmed. She asked me if I wanted to order and I told her the classic eggs Benedict with ham please. She took my order and off she went, again the wait staff here are super awesome! On to start to soaking the place in and get a feel for the surroundings, the atmosphere, peoples reactions, the cleanliness, Vibe check is good everyone around is smiling eating, just having a great time! -Everything is super clean, no spots on the silverware, tables are very Clean, the booth is clean and boom! Food is out and piping hot and it looks delicous! She gave me the food and asked me if I needed anything else which I then asked for hot sauce which I get a choice of tabasco or Chalula. I chose the Chalula Sorry if I ramble too much on to the Review of the Food - The Classic Benny with ham, and too boot you get three poached eggs and three pieces of some really nice thick cut nicely seared ham. Eggs are poached to perfection with great yolk spill lol. The Hollandaise sauce was spot on. The only thing I was a little disappointed on was the the English muffins were kind soggy, they didn't have a crunch to them at all. -Homefries, This was interesting, They were cooked pretty good, next time I would order them crispy for a better texture, but what was this taste they had? It was boggling my mind and I'm not sure If I liked it or didn't like it. At one point in my head they reminded me of the potatoes in a clam chowder. I ate most of them but it was weird. I finished my food and got my check and once again to the staff there, Keep on doing what you are doing you all are great!!!! Before I get up this woman th works starts asking how the service and fold was and I told her like this Staff is great Place is super clean Food was good but what is in the home fries as seasoning as it was still baffling my mind. She told me her husband that is the cook said its a blend of spices. Again another great person on the staff!!!! The ride home I'm scratching my head still about these home fries. I go into the the spice cabinet and I think Chowder and Clam cakes. A spark went off in my head and I grabbed the old bay and tasted it and I think that is what I'm tasting in these home fries. Visited the Hamilton diner for the first time today. I'm so glad that we decided to go here over any other place. We had a party at five and they sat us down immediately. I was actually shocked at how many tables there were in this restaurant. The waitress was amazing. When she came over, she was super friendly and shared a list of specials that they had for the day. She took her order pretty quickly. I really liked that they had cappuccinos and lattes, as I don't always like regular coffee. I had a salted caramel latte that was great! Our son also loved that they had coffee milk. I ordered a skillet with spinach, tomato, onion, and feta. It was served on a bit of red skin home fries that were delicious. It came with my choice of toast, I had the marble rye. Our daughter had an Nutella special waffle and finished every last bite. Our son had the chocolate chip pancakes, and they came with four giant pancakes, so much food that he had to take home. During our breakfast, the owner came over and spoke to us. It was really nice to see the owner walking around and talking to people. This place is definitely my new favorite breakfast restaurant and we will definitely be back. The owner & his wife are the most wonderful and accommodating people, they make it a point to visit the tables and ask how everything is , the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. My boyfriend and I waited a little bit longer than we were originally told, the owner came to the table with a gift card for our patience and understanding, such a kind gesture.
