Overall this is a very cute place. Nice sleek design. Live music was a hit! Pickle chips were awesome! The clam strips felt like you didn't get a ton of meat. It was a lot of fried batter. When you went to pick up a piece it would just fall apart. It wasn't that it was greasy or breaded thickly; it was just a lot of fried loose batter and barely any clams. The cookie was bad. It was very hard and nothing molten in the middle. I was expecting chocolate to spill from the middle and it was all just a stiff cookie. Service was nice and we were seated quickly. Barrett's Waterfront is one of the best dining spots in Fall River. The location can't be beat, with a great view and a relaxed atmosphere that works for both dinner and drinks. The food is consistently good, the portions are great, and the service is always attentive. Be sure to visit when the sushi chef is working ( not mondays) as the sushi is great! Previous visits to Barrettes Waterfront in Fall River have been good, however tonight was not. We arrived before the place became very busy, it was Mother's Day, service was slow but okay. Our food was good, then we ordered desert, one slice of cake. 20 mins later, still no cake. Our server said she'd go get it herself. But ten minutes later, still no cake and she was serving other tables. I asked her for our check and to cancel the cake. She said she asked the manager about our order and that "nobody could find the slip" whatever that means. One slice of cake, that's all! There were tables all around us waiting for food, many complaining customers, but still people were being seated. The server blamed the kitchen, who knows, let's hope they get their act together before summer. Note to manager, if nobody can find "the slip" go get the desert and deliver it to your customer, no charge. We won't be back. read more

Ive walked past this place so many times but decided to enjoy the beautiful weather with some local eats. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and was giving the option of inside or outside. I opted for outside because I wanted to enjoy the sunshine. My waitress Tiffany was very sweet and made my dining experience pleasant. I started out with a watermelon cocktail. It was perfect I decided to get wings and the grilled cheese brisket. I knew I would take half to go if the food was good and I was not disappointed. The grilled cheese brisket was delicious. They did not go easy on the brisket, just the way I like it. The wings were good. Fried hard enough and the sauce was pretty good. I'm kinda kicking my self because I've been here over 3 years and have been missing out on good wings. I ordered the spicy tuna umami roll, though neither the waiter nor I knew what the difference was between this and the regular spicy tuna roll. I believe they just threw some miso paste on top, which sounds worse than it was! Happily ate every bite The blueberry vodka lemonade was admittedly more juice than alcohol, not very strong but that's probably for the best. We took the Commuter Rail train down from Boston on a holiday weekend daytrip. Barrett's is less than a ten minute walk from the train station. Nice location overlooking the Taunton River. We had a table outside. Our server Jillian was the best. My steak tips were delicious. My wife loved the baked cod. Potions were quite generous. We will definitely do this again. read more

Waterfront Mac and cheese was good and had balanced taste but didn't really fill my Mac and cheese urge . The waitress was super super nice and attentive but I missed her name , but 10/10. I usually order sushi when I go there and honestly, it is really good, but it is a bit overpriced. I've also had the flatbread pizza and honestly it's OK. We have been here many times but the new menu and potentially chef have made great changes. We went on a Saturday around 6 and sat outside on the couches. The heaters kept us very warm and we were able to watch the sunset from the deck. Our waiter was very attentive. Our nachos were HUGE and very good. They had Buffalo chicken dip on them and layers of cheese, guac and sauce. We could only eat half. Drinks were good, they have a full bar, seltzer on draft and a pretty decent beer selection. They have the music entertainer way up high which I have never seen before and I thought it was a great idea. I tried out Barrett's Waterfront with a group of friends. The restaurant is beautiful and extremely clean - and the staff were very friendly! Our table split one of the sangria towers, which was one of the main reasons we came to try out Barrett's! The sangria tower was a unfortunately underwhelming - the tower was filled to the top with ice, so even though the tower looked large, there was only around 4 glasses of sangria in the entire tower (you need to have a minimum of 3 people to order the tower). The sangria was also practically fruit juice, and had very little wine and liquor in it. For dinner, I got the Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread Pizza. The consistency of the pizza itself was pretty good - I like my flatbreads crispy! The one downside of the pizza I got was the amount of bacon on it (which may be a selling point for others!) Don't get me wrong, I am also a huge bacon fan! But, my pizza was piled so thickly with bacon, that the salt overpowered the entire pizza. I had only a couple of slices before I couldn't eat any more. Overall, a decent restaurant with great outdoor seating a view of the water! I didn't have a 5 star experience in my first trip, but will definitely be returning at some point to give Barrett's a second chance! read more

SO many things! the history was kind of confused and kind of snotty. the table wam ready even thought we made the reservation weeks in advance. the service was not just slow but bad. The waiter completely forgot my drink. We waited 30 minutes for the drinks! mine was terrible. I have had a lavender lemon drop several places and this was hands down the worst! They brought my friend's dinner out so early that she was done with it before everyone else got their food. The food was ok. The cole slaw was the worst I've ever had. Aslo, it was really noisy! I definitely wanna go again. We went on NYE for dinner. We got Nachos & Pretzels for apps for the table. The Pretzels were to die for, the nachos were okay but definitely not my favorite. We also got a sangria tower - which was yummy. Two of us drank it together - so it wasn't terribly strong but tasted great. My boyfriend got a special for dinner - a bacon wrapped meatloaf. Looked super and tasted super. I wish I'd gotten it. I got a pulled pork bowl and it was good but I wish I'd gotten something else, like a special! We went there yesterday evening (Thursday) for dinner, just 2 adults to sit at bar top as we have done often. We ordered a salad to split as an app, for meals he ordered steak tips and I ordered sushi. They first brought out steak tips, I politely sent back asking they be kept on warm as our salad had not come out yet and it should be with my sushi. A few min later the sushi came out, again no salad. I again asked for that to go back until the salad came, at which point the bartender/server basically attacked me saying I was being aggressive. I have never had issues like this. I was horrified by this person attacking me. I went to the car while he waited for them to bag up our food since they clearly couldn't get any of it right. More than anything, the bartender attacking me for the fact they couldn't get their order and deliver execution right was insane. She was inappropriate. This is one of my favorite places to go out to eat. First of all, it's waterfront and I'm a sucker for water. You can't see the water from inside, but they have a deck in the warmer months. The inside is a nice mix between a new American style and sports bar. There are lots of big screens to watch the game, but they are not obnoxious as you can sit at other parts of the restaurant and not be affected by them if you're not into what's on TV. Everything I've ever gotten there was delicious. Their steak tips were perfectly cooked. The boneless buffalo wings are some of my favorite in the area. My son loves the wagyu burger. Unfortunately they took it off the menu because that was his favorite spot until that change. Hopefully they bring it back. All of the servers I've had there were friendly and attentive. read more
