Keep in mind I didn't actually purchase anything from here, so reviews are based on hospitality and quality upfront. When I saw the ratings, I was quite confused. It was either, "I could give 0 stars if I could" or the polar opposite of that. When I went here, they were kind enough to give us a parking lot, which is pretty unheard of, even on the outskirts of Chicago. As I walked in, lots of employees looked up, and one asked what I needed. I told him, and he pulled up a chair and invited me to sit down. He started telling me about his cars, and pulled up his inventory online to show us. I had been watching this place for months, so I knew exactly what was on there. I mentioned a 2020 hybrid FPIU that was basically new, and he said he would go out and find it for me. He took quite some time, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt, as they had more than 150 vehicles in total, some of which weren't even on their website (They had to take photos and link the CARFAX) Once he found it, he led us to it and it was already on. He was open to us sitting in it and even shifting it to check for wear. I asked him if I could walk around the lot, and he said, "Of course." As I got into a lot of their vehicles, I noticed a musty, sweet smell, as if someone had only wore cologne for a year in this car. He was open to my checking the horn on the vehicles as well, and some of them will not work because the police equipment has been removed, and with it, the iconic low-pitched horn that police have. Another thing is, I saw a 2019 charger that had been off the online inventory for months. I had assumed they sold it, and when I asked the dealer about it, he said it could be a different car-IT WAS NOT DIFFERENT. HAD THE SAME MILES AS THE WEBSITE SAID IT DID, AND EXACT CONDITION. Or he stated sometimes buyers put cars on hold, which didn't seem feasible to me, as it had been a few months. Because I didn't want to piss him off on my first visit, I accepted the answer. Furthermore, I saw some other cars that were also not on the online inventory, and he said they had to prepare them for the website, for the reasons I stated above. At the end, pretty much no cars had hidden cosmetic damage that wasn't shown in the website photos. He shook my hand, and gave me a business card without a name. I asked him, and he told me not to worry about it, as the number was his father's. Overall, he seems to know the basic things about his cars, such as where he got them from. He also offered us lots of test drives, but we only did one, with a charger that shook quite a lot when stopped. He came with us and took us on a set route around the side streets. As for the shaking, He told us that was because the V8 engine had aged over the 90k miles it had endured, and asked if we'd wanted to try a newer FPIU. My time was running out, so I declined, and left with a pretty happy face. I would purchase a car from here if I needed one. Just completed the purchase of my 2nd Ford Expedition in the past 6 years from Asia Motors. Daniel, Syed, and the rest of the staff were outstanding to work with. The whole process was fair, efficient, and zero hassle. They answered all of my questions, prepared 3 Expeditions for me to test drive with no pressure to buy. I needed a new daily driver to keep miles off my off road Toyota. This Taurus was the ticket! There are only a few dealers in the Chicagoland area that primarily only sell former government vehicles. My 2014 Taurus that I bought from Asia Motors in February of 2024 had low idle hours and only 60k miles when I purchased it. It is a CLEAN southern car! While I agree the selection of vehicles is broad, the pros of this dealer don't outweigh the cons and I believe Asia Motors needs to evaluate "what matters most" and strive to be costumer oriented. I really would hope they would seek to improve customer experience over just making sales. Some suggestions: Offer a better mechanical evaluation to even just minor items, brakes, fluids, etc. Yes, offer as-is but with the income they bring in they can at least make sure they're selling vehicles that are not mechanically flawed. When people come on your lot, at least say hello, it won't take much and people won't feel like this will result in a sketchy sales experience. Why does all this matter? I just think credibility of a company will help and ultimately grow your business better. read more

Great experience , bought a 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Hybrid Shipping was delayed , almost 4 weeks . After you purchase the car there is very little communication. Once I kept asking about the shipping every other day I was somewhat confronted by one of the Indian guys saying, we don't want your car we want to get it out of her as soon as possible , if you keep calling we won't ship it.", Highly disappointed and disrespectful. No hassle at all, and very patient staff. I have purchased 2 vehicles from here, with no issues. Free car fax reports give you a good description of vehicle history depending on the state. The good: There was no high-pressure sales pitch. Once I put a deposit down, they were very patient, as it took about a week to finalize the sale of my old car and get final payment to them. Shipping was easy and fast. The bad: The car arrived dirty inside and out. And it's in the shop right now getting $1000-$2000 in brake work that should have been caught and fixed by a routine safety check prior to the sale. Of course the car was sold "as is" so I have no recourse but to write this Yelp Review. If you buy from here, be sure you use a better qualified mechanic than I did, to inspect the vehicle. I have read through the negative reviews so I felt obliged to add my review and some suggestions/helpful hints from 2018 purchase. I flew in to ORD and got a room at the Motel 6 just outside the airport. The next morning, I walked 5 minutes to Asia Motors and was assisted in viewing any and every car I liked. I spent about 3 hours test driving and comparing before I selected a low mileage 2012 Chevy Impala 9C1, a former Florida FBI vehicle. I met no hesitation or resistance when I asked to take it to the local Meineke for the $70 pre-purchase inspection. The inspection revealed the unit would need front brakes in the near future and an ac vent solenoid. The only cosmetic flaw was the plug used to fill the antenna hole. I returned to the dealership and discussed the matter with the owner. He directed his team to immediately replace the solenoid and antenna plug. The price reflected the need for the brakes to be replaced, but the car was safe to drive. The only issue I had in the purchase was my bank dragging its feet with the wire transfer. Asia Motors was patient and prepared the paperwork without a deposit. When the transfer was completed the next day, Asia Motors called me and I returned to pick up the car and drive it back to Texas. My takeaway and suggestion to others: 1. Fly to ORD and choose the vehicle in person. They will gladly show you any vehicle they have and let you test drive them. 2. When you find the vehicle you want, pay the $70 to have it inspected by a third party. I suggest Meineke. They are nearby. 3. Call your bank and let them know WELL in advance of the wire transfer. I have driven the car for nearly 50,000 miles and it has performed flawlessly. Other than the usual maintenance costs (brakes, oil changes, struts, tires) this 2012 Impala has had no issues. We got to drive the car 4 days before all the water poured out and seized...over 5k dollars worth of repairs required. Bought a '15 Explorer that seemed fine for two weeks until the timing chain started squealing and hemorrhaging coolant from a failed water pump. They pumped it full of stop leak to get me off the lot then laughed in my fiance's face when she called and told us our complaint would be "a drop in the bucket" compared to their Google reviews. They have numerous used police cars for sale at all price points (including many with no accidents and one owner per CarFax - which is available for every car they sell). The test drives were long, they moved a bunch of cars off the lot so I could test the ones I wanted, and their closing process was only a few minutes. Only things other than the sticker price were tax, dealer fee, and title fee (which are all mandatory fees I'm pretty sure). Highly recommended. read more

Buyer beware!!! Not all cars match the car fax reports. They are auctioned off cars even though they say they aren't. Some cars may be fine but others maybe have had water damage and other hidden problems. They clean it up as much as they can. They buy cans of spray paint to hide the rust and damage and have it blend in with the rest of the car. The cars paint jobs are done very cheaply and after a year the paint will begin to chip and peel. I've seen what I think may have been a mechanic, removed a check engine light BULB instead of fixing the problem as the customer waiting for it to be fixed. They will say they are giving you a deal and don't like anything under sticker price but these trucks and cars have been through a lot. They mask the problem to get you out the door with very heavy oil weight to hide motor noise. Never buy over the computer as picture may not show the true detail of the car. Be careful when doing business and it's worth the money to get the car check by a trusted mechanic. Every car is a good government vehicle to the "mechanics" there. read more

I actually drove there from Saint Charles because I'm a hands on kind of buyer plus their web site had some issues making for a not so great customer experience. First their "vehicle finder" feature had a glitch where as after entering your information and submitting would give an error prompt and not go through. This occurred several times and never worked. the second issue was that while perusing their inventory, if you clicked on a vehicle (I was looking specifically for an explorer) and then clicked back out... it would go back to the beginning where you would have to start over and re-enter your search criteria. I walked onto the lot... I estimated close to 200 vehicles. I stood there for a few moments while an employee was preparing a vehicle for sale (i.e., cleaning, taking photos, etc.). I watched for a few moments, but they didn't ask if I needed help and didn't acknowledge my presence. I went inside the building where I was met by an employee who asked what I needed. I introduced myself and had to ask what his name was because he didn't offer it. I explained that I was looking for another vehicle for my business and began to offer up my requirements and explained that I had issues with their web site. He related that he would speak to his I.T. people and told me that he didn't have what I was looking for. He sat down at the computer and began to search through his inventory (Really? Been there, done that!) just as I had done. I explained that their "vehicle finder" feature claimed that they would use their "vast resources" to search for the vehicle I required, equipped the way I needed. Part of that was a factory tow hitch/package. He said "No, police don't need to tow. That's not available." I knew he was wrong and explained that I was in law enforcement for 30 years. I explained that several patrol vehicles in our fleet were set up to tow our radar/speed trailer, receivers for bike/Segway patrol carriers and even bomb trailers. I then realized that he was unfamiliar with what he was selling. He didn't want to go out into the lot (never offered) and show me any vehicle and acted almost as if I was bothering him. I asked if I could search the lot. He said I could go outside, walk around and see what was out there. I asked him for a card. He gave me one stating that it was his bosses card (Syed Mateen). I asked if he would put his name on the card as he was the person I talked to. He wrote his name as "Rohan". I'm guessing... he has to be a relative or a friend of the manager or owner because he is not a salesman and has no business selling vehicles. He knows nothing about his inventory and his customer service is really non existent. I shook his hand and thanked him out of courtesy, went back out into the lot and walked around all the Explorers. After about 30 minutes of squeezing between row upon row of tightly packed vehicles (no one else EVER approached and asked if I needed anything or what I was looking for or if they could assist) I decided to spend my money, my company's money somewhere else. Asian Motors is not a place I would ever return to nor would I refer anyone to buy a vehicle from them. Aren't they in the business of selling cars? Because they didn't seem too interested. Made an appointment to test drive three vehicles and drove five hours round trip to the dealership. We got there and one vehicle was priced $2,000 higher than their online price. We test drive all the vehicles and we're interested in one particular suburban. When we asked about a warranty we were told there was no warrant but, if we paid full price we would have a 90 day third party warranty. They would not listen to any offers and we weren't looking for them to drop the price drastically. I do not recommend this dealership at all. They will only allow you to test drive their vehicles for a few blocks and what good is that? I was disappointed from the pictures of the lot online thinks they were a professional looking business but, when we arrived it was a small lot with everything crammed in the lot. read more

Bought a 2008 F250. It was not until I got it home that I started to see all of the things they did not tell me about. No rear license plat lights. Box of the truck was missing 4 of the 6 bolts. Rear seat was missing half of the bolts and no seal belt latches. AC is broke. There are many other small things that are too much to list. Then after only putting 800 miles on the vehicle the transfer case went. $3,600 in repairs. Buyer beware! read more

buyer beware do not buy these cars they are actioned cars that they buy for cheap and upsell cars i use to work there on theyre cars and the owners are cheap and try to fix everything with cheap bottle can of paints. when trucks come in with rod-knocks he will make us add additives so when the customers comes the cars are ok but after that they wont. he will patch up interior parts with leather they glue on. half of the cars have been in a flood and trying to save to upsell. trust me do not go to this place try chicago motors you will not regret it read more

I'll start my review off by saying holy cow what a waste of time. Called at about 1pm talking to Sam saying we were interested in a car to look at & test drive. Gave advance we'll be there in 3-4 hours to take a peek. Come 4pm show up the guys tell us it's on a different lot at a different location it's on its way. About 45 minutes pass & day is already turning nto dusk. Car finally arrived & it was problem after problem before I even left the lot with it. Power steering in the vehicle was completely shot! I mean no give at all. I couldn't even get the car past 40mph on the side streets without feeling the car would give out on me at some point. Belt was squeaky & when we got back to the dealer after our 5 minute test drive I see it's completely coated in WD40. Told the porter who came along to give me a call back once the problems are fixed & Sam has my number. He doesn't have my number. From the website these guys looked more professional. Terrible experience. When searching for a vehicle online from Arizona I asked if they ever ship vehicles and they said they do it every day. I purchased a Chevy Impala from them in June and from the purchase to today terrible experience. The paperwork is so poorly written. and they make you sign documents that don't even mean anything. They took about a week to ship the vehicle and could not even provide a shipping number. The vehicle ads online are all the same. When I received the vehicle The inside door locks were missing in the rear and the back panels were falling off. The front panels were also falling off. I noticed the breaks were squeaking and when to have them checked and they were all mis match break pads and worn. Ad stated spare tire and there was none, and no Jack. I called them to let them know of the issues and their customer service dept doesn't care alls they say is "we checked it". I don't recommend! read more
