Hands down, some of the worst food I ever had. I asked for empanadas, and they gave me meat patties...COLD. I paid $9 for cold meat patties I had to heat up myself, and they were awful. I don't understand how a Hispanic resturaunt confuses meat patties with empanadas. Don't order the ceviche- it's AWFUL. And the famous Peruvian green sauce everyone loves? Was less than mediocre, with some of the dryest rotisserie chicken I've ever had. DO NOT EVER ORDER FROM HERE. They are a disgrace to Peruvian food. read more

AVOIDDDD!!! If i could give this restaurant ZERO stars I surely would. I have ordered from Al Toque about 6 times and each time it just gets worse. My first two orders had minor things missing which I completely overlooked because I understand everyone has their bad days. Recently, I have places about 5-6 orders within the last two months and EACH order has come out COMPLETELY WRONG. It has gotten so bad to the point where I now call the restaurant every time I place an order online to review what it is I ordered to avoid receiving an incorrect order. They will give me attitude on the phone and basically brush me off & what arrives on my doorstep? AN INCORRECT ORDER WITHOUT FAIL. Not only have I received about 5 completely incorrect orders, but the last order left me shocked. I called once again after placing the order and the lady gave me attitude as usual--nothing new. The food arrived about 2 hours later and not only were the entrees wrong but the quality looked absolutely revolting. When I spoke to the employee I asked for extra sauce on the side and I said I'd be willing to pay if course. She basically told me no and I received one container of a 1oz sauce that seemed to be mixed with a lot of water. My INCORRECT entrees looked as if they intentionally had pepper flakes poured all over them after I mentioned to make each meal as mild as possible. I called the store to inform them I have once again received the incorrect order and they did not pick up. I am DONE with this restaurant. I would spend $50-$60 each order just to be given the wrong items and tampered food. AVOID ORDERING FROM HERE AND IF YOU DINE IN JUST PREPARE YOURSELF FOR ATTITUDE AND CARELESSNESS. read more

Ordered delivery from here, so not sure how the actual restaurant is. My friend and I split the full rotisserie chicken, and another friend ordered the shrimp ceviche. I think it was her first time having ceviche, and she was not expecting it to be what it was, so I don't think she enjoyed it that much. I don't eat seafood so I can't speak to how good it was either, but it did look like it was a small portion for the price. Our rotisserie chicken combination came with the full chicken, green sauce, fries, and salad. I really liked the rotisserie chicken- it wasn't too dry at all, and there was a lot of flavor. Even after reheating the next few days, it was still good. The skin was also seasoned really well. I liked the green sauce too. The salad was just lettuce and few carrots/tomato/cucumber. It was boring but what it says on the tin. The fries were pretty soggy, which I guess is all you can expect from a styrofoam takeout container. They were decent and I expect that the fries would have been way better if we had eaten it in house. I ordered from here when I had a $10 off Grubhub coupon. With the coupon, the meal was a decent price, but I'm not sure if I would order delivery here with normal prices since I thought it was a little pricey for what we got. I think I would either come in person to the restaurant, or wait until another coupon. However, I did enjoy the food and would recommend to anyone craving Peruvian. read more

Amazing place! We took a detour to come here from I-95, because we wanted a different cousins. Very small, very unassuming place. By the looks it might look really really ordinary. But the food!!!!! I used to go here a lot, but I recently received chicken that was raw. The chicken I had was red and bloody still, I was immediately disappointed because I used to be a long time customer. I won't ever go here again, since recently the customer service has been trashy. Cashiers pick up the phone then tell you to wait and they proceed to hang up. read more

Although the food is AMAZING the delivery situation is a DISASTER!!! And then to top it off TWICE I didn't get what I ordered or items were missing and I've ordered 3 times!! But the WORST part was that they swore they sent it, argued about it and Yelp refunded me dispite their nastiness. I asked the delivery guy at my door and he didn't have it. Its was a $15 item too. I always really enjoy the food here and the customer service. I'm not too familiar with Peruvian food so when I come, they give me recommendations based on what I'm in the mood for, which I think is nice. I've had the baked chicken, with salad and maduros (instead of fries), the fried rice with chicken (nice big portion, about 3.5 meals for me), and the flan which is really rich and delicious. Everything is super fresh, consistently good, and the service is really friendly. They have a parking lot on the side and I order to-go but there is a good amount of seating inside if you want to eat there. They're happy to prepare some of the food low to no salt for me as well, which is really valuable to me since I'm often buying food for someone with a health condition. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try, great food for a great price! read more

I wanted to try something new, I didn't want to leave the apartment, and the menu looked good so I went for it. I can't remember what I had but it came with little strips of steak, fries, and rice with sauce on the side. I also had a big thing of soup with linguine-like noodles, two chicken wings, and a hard-boiled egg. Everything was tasty! A totally small dive but big in flavor and good taste. Language is a problem but elaborate hand gestures functions well enough. Had the mussels appetizer, the number 23 fish stew, shrimp rice, and stir fried beef with fried potatoes. All really good and huge portions. Even enjoyed the purple corn juice....1st timer. 2 stars for effort and friendly service. I got the Lomo Saltado. They put everything on top of the fries so by the time you get it they are a soggy mess. The green sauce is not good.
