Wanted to try Peruvian food so I came here with my friend. We both loved the food and will be coming back in the future! Although a bit more on the expensive side for a broke college student, the huge portions are what you would expect for the price. Something to note is that the price of the menu items are actually about $1 more than the menu listed on Yelp. My friend and I shared the Lomo Saltado and Arroz con Mariscos (con ceviche) but for two people, one dish is probably enough. Even though I was disappointed the fries that came with the Lomo Saltado weren't crispy, they paired well with the beef. The ceviche was my favorite - it was the right amount of sour and I wish we got more. The Arroz con Mariscos was equally delicious, though I recommend adding sauce since it can be a little dry. Service was a little slow (we had to go up to find a waitress to order and pay) but the staff were very friendly. I highly recommend this place! read more

Favorite Peruvian spot! Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos ($19) - My go-to dish! The arroz chaufa was delicious, but the real star was the aji verde sauce. It comes with one small container of aji verde sauce, but I always get the larger container they sell for an additional $6. The sauce pairs perfectly with the arroz chaufa, but I also love using the leftovers for other meals. Of all the aji verde sauces I've tried, theirs is undoubtedly the most delicious! The correct address is 316 Suydam St, New Brunswick. The phone service is bilingual in Spanish and English. Service was kind, appropriately accurate and welcoming at the moment of contact. I ordered 1/2 rotisserie chicken with French fries and a shrimp Chaufa fried rice. I requested an onion sauce (salsa criolla), as well as green sauce. The food was packed securely and I found the food to be cooked well and seasoned nicely. There were a good amount of perfectly cooked large shrimp in the rice and a portion to be shared between at least two to three people. I am accustomed to the salsa criolla being mixed into a small container. Here the onions and tomatoes were roughly chopped, seasoning on top and the lime was sliced in half. The green sauce was more white with a hint of green yet the flavors were there and slightly spicy. Overall, a nice job! read more

Wow wow wow. This is the best Peruvian chicken in this area. The roast chicken is flavorful, moist and tender. The green sauce is good. The portions are huge and you will not leave there hungry. I ordered the whole chicken with rice and salad with a side of tostones. They gave a full plate of rice enough to feed 4 and the tostones was also a full plate just for $3. The restaurant is on the small side with 6 tables. The decor is not fancy. However the food is great, service is fast and once again portions are big. very authentic Peruvian food in a small space with just 6 tables and a TV (soccer of course) .. ceviche mixto was quite good, goes well with tostones and of course with Inka Cola. i don't generally drink soda but Inka Cola is like crack and I can't resist getting a hit once in awhile.. delicious well seasoned and marinated rotisserie chicken. they have all the Peruvian standards, a fairly large menu with ok prices: rotisserie chicken (which looks irresistable on the rotisserie visible through the small window through which one can see activities in the kitchen), chifa (Peruvian chinese food), papas a la huancaina, leche de tigre, etc.. no desserts though. free delivery with an order of at least $10 or $15 depending on where you live. they have a small parking lot behind the building. the place is small but clean, good friendly service. read more

don carlos is the newest face of the perpetually changing little hole in the wall on the corner of somerset st./rt 27 and main st. this is their second location in the area. the rotisserie chicken is really juicy, and the flavor of the herbs has been perfectly infused into the meat. love it. i wish their chicken had like 5 layers of skin because that's my favorite part. i haven't tried the other menu items yet, but now that they are accepting credit cards, i will hopefully drop by more often. yum. read more

This place is on my way home from work. The food here is amazing. It's hard to actually eat at the restaurant because there's only about four tables. Because it is so small I wouldn't eat there anyway. But the food is amazing. It's affordable very tasty and the portions are generous! The food also will be great the next day as well.
