The store is a mess, and virtually every grocery item costs twice what it would anywhere else. Phoenicia remains in business only because it is one of the few "Mediterranean" food outlets in Austin, and also because it may have once been good. But now it is a disgraceful must to avoid.

She not only remembered me as I entered the store, but ensured I was able to buy the black caviar I wanted. I also took a risk on a nest shaped pastry filled with lemon filling, and I think it was my favorite of them all!
