Service! Recently, I have been exploring new options by ordering from Aladdin Grill. I recently placed an order for wings and fries via Uber Eats. The store was set to close in about an hour, yet I only received my fries. I rely on UberEats since I am unable to reach the physical location. I contacted the management to inform them, and they assured me that they would include the wings in the new order I mentioned I would be placing. The food here is quite good, so I still wish to place an order. However, I only received my fries, and when I called to inquire about the order, I was informed that I was speaking to someone else and that no arrangement had been made. Remember, I reached out to them both prior to and following the order to verify. The way I was disrespected really turned me off at the restaurant, and despite enjoying the food, I will not be returning there. Additionally, I have supported the owner of this restaurant at Walgreens on several occasions, and he encouraged me to visit his establishment. Therefore, it is disappointing that when I finally arrive, this is the level of service I receive. read more

I can't comment on the food here, only dessert. When I stopped in for baklava to-go I was not impressed. The girl working the front had no interest in talking to me. The place was empty. She was watching tv. And playing on her phone doing whatever. I mean, how dare I interrupt her? I stood over the bakery case and considered the pastry options. She wasn't much help on recommending something. She wanted me to hurry up already. Whatever. I'll take the baklava, babe, and get outta your way. It was too dry. Definitely needed more honey. This is horrible tasting food beef is as chewy as a rubber band and rice in not even cooked all the way. Service was very slow waited 20 minutes for food thats not even edible. The portions are smaller than my pet rabbit. Worst food I had in this state. Dry meat, small portions, undercooked rice, slow service, and overpriced STAY AWAY!! read more

Mighty mike - he's the owner, the chef, a former Olympian and a personal trainer. What an interesting story right? I like talking to owners and chefs to learn more about their food so I'm glad I come off friendly to those that share their stories. Falafel sandwich - the falafel was crispy, so that's a plus. The overall concept was good but I felt like it was missing something. I'm not sure what it was exactly missing though. I've had many falafel sandwiches before and so far, I've only enjoyed it from one place that I least expected to enjoy because it only had 3 stars on yelp. I also found it kind of on the pricey side for the size but I understand that they need to make a living and pay for ingredients and bills to keep the business running. Fried mushroom with honey mustard - I had a really good experience with fried mushrooms and a honey mustard sauce from stock and barrel so I assumed this was hoping for this to be up to par. Unfortunately, it wasn't. This has got to be the most expensive appetizer. It was more than my sandwich! So what's wrong with it? I think the batter needs some kick to it. It was crunchy but it didn't give the mushroom any assistance. Mushroom itself has a strong taste but if I'm going to pay that much for it to be fried, I expect some flavor. As for the sauce, I wish he made his own honey mustard. The rice place with kebabs are also expensive. I did appreciate the strong charred taste it had through out the dish. I hate to give such a bad review because the owner is so nice. He gave us a free bakalava. The bakalava didn't have any hazelnuts and it wasn't like your typical bakalava; the center was full of cream. The bakalava was good but it wasn't what I was excited for. The crispy layers were not distributed in all bites and I understand why. You can't expect fresh quality desserts that are in containers. The parking is tight and confusing. You're allowed to park anywhere in the lot that is in front of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is small and if you decide to stay and eat, the chef/owner will serve you food but not water. He has a lot of pictures framed from his competitions worldwide and there is a television on. read more

Would give 0 stars if i could. I purchased 2 chicken plates that included chicken, rice, and bread. I took a bite of each one and immediately spit it out. My 2 friends also tried it and were equally as disgusted. I called the place to ask if I could bring it all back for a refund and the man refused. I am so disappointed that a place took our money and gave us inedible junk. This was the worst food and worst experience I have ever had with a restaurant in my entire life. I called in a delivery order. I ordered a falafal plate, the mixed grill and a lasagna. It took about an hour, mind I don't live far away. I live in the Old City. My total was $34.xx including delivery. Once my food arrived I was excited to dive in but after a few bites my body started to immediately reject this mediocre food. The falafal was dry and bland. The grilled vegetables in the mixed grill were frozen carrots and broccoli. The bread sticks that came w the lasagna were dry, old and fried, also left in the fryer way too long. Ill probably never give this place a try again. I also do not recomend to others. There are other places in town with more passion, freshness and care for their food the serve. read more

We had a very disappointing experience. We ordered through Bite Squad, and didn't get the ordered appetizer (which Bite Squad handled). In a word, terrible. I ordered the Greek meatball and a side of potato wedges and asked for a 20oz Diet Coke. I also asked that they leave out the pita. What did I get an hour and 45 mins later? A clueless driver who didn't know where I was despite instructions being given, soggy potato wedges, two small strips of ground beef that looked like dog food, no Diet Coke. But at least I got pita. Come here for convenience, not quality. I mean, if you live in the Fort and want a quick walk for a take-out dinner, it's worth it. If you live in the dorms and want something different delivered, it's worth it. It's NOT worth it to make a drive from more than a few miles away. There is no ambiance to speak of. I run into this quite a bit when dining on the Strip, and this is a prime example. It's cramped, it's dingy, and there's a large television and remote for those waiting on to-go orders. Seriously, don't come here expecting to dine in. That said, the food is okay. I ordered the Mediterranean salad, and my boyfriend ordered the "Shish Tawook Platter." My dish advertised the inclusion of olives, and his dish claimed the inclusion of grilled veggies. Neither were present. To clarify, his dish DID include veggies, but they were obviously steamed or boiled. There were a couple baby carrots and a pice of broccoli over the rice. The chicken was terrific though. Super tender, marinated, and grilled to perfection. We also enjoyed the fried mushrooms (I've never met a fried mushroom I didn't adore), and the tiramisu for dessert (not the best I've had, but also not the worst). To reiterate, come here if it's convenient. Don't come expecting stellar Middle Eastern cuisine. Expect lightning fast service and a location that's within walking distance to thousands of students. One piece of cooked onion, one big piece of raw onion and a piece of lettuce. Why would you go across the street to McDonalds, when this is right here? I noticed the sign for this place said "Lebanese Desserts" - which is all it takes to attract a former Nashvillean, so we wound up eating lunch there today. I was concerned they might be takeout only - they do have 3 small tables and a bar to eat in. They recommended the kofta, so I had the Kofta Sandwich and my husband had the Steak Souvlaki sandwich. Both were amazing. I was also very happy to see that they had hot tea and Turkish coffee available - love! Everything was very reasonably priced and we finished up with bakalva - 2 pieces for $2, you can't beat that, and it tasted homemade. We will be back for sure. The only thing I might like to see would be more options for sides instead of chips with the sandwich, maybe an option for a salad or hummous, but I understand a lot of college students here and probably want the chips to go. My favorite restaurant on UT campus! Yes, it does not look like much, but the food is always fresh and delicious! The owner/chef/waiter Mike is very nice and he works very hard. Some of my favorites here are the Greek salad and the calzones (large enough to share). The falafel is also very good. I ordered a hamburger here last night and it was absolutely the worst hamburger I have ever had. The taste of the meat was bad and had nothing on it and it was very dry and I ordered it medium and it was almost burnt. I just cannot say enough bad things about it and I will never, ever order from here again. Maybe the worst meal I have ever had! It's pretty hard to mess up a hamburger. This place was so delicious. We flew into Knoxville and We came to pray at the community of Knoxville Masjid This hole in the wall was right by it. The owner is Muslim and The meat is halal. We ordered the Gyro, chicken Shawarma, and the Aladdin burger. Everything was delicious and fresh. It came out within 10 minutes or so. Will definitely keep this on our list for when we come back to Knoxville as it sits right on the UT Knoxville campus. I just ordered a carry out order of Mike's whole chicken grilled and all the things that come with it and I only have one thing to say.... AMAZING!! I used to live in New York City and it's real hard to find really good ethnic food in this town and let me tell you this is amazing. The location is great but probably not so great during football season, however is well worth the wait and just incredible. I highly recommend everyone go try this place. read more

This was genuinely the worst food I have ever ordered for take out. Everything that was ordered looked and tasted like it was thrown together. The cheese literally came off of the slice when it was picked up. There were like 5 pepporonis on maybe 1/4 of the pizza. The gyro and steak sandwich was not good.
