During the holidays my ancient pool pump finally quit on me. I called a couple pool service companies but all were closed until after the new year. First of all, I want to make it clear that I never had a problem with Mark's employees in the five years I used their company. The weekly pool service was always perfectly fine. So why am I giving the company one star? Because the owner tried to rip me off, and that's unforgivable. I asked Mark to have his guy take a look at my pool pump as it was making a noise that was getting worse. He said he'd come take a look himself. After coming out, he told me that my pump needed to be replaced and that the cost would be $2,950. That sounded rather pricey to me, so I started doing some research. It didn't take long to figure out that if I needed a new pump, I could get one, with installation, for about $1,800. But it gets better. Once I took the pump to an honest repair shop (Callen Pool Supply in Rancho, Scott is amazing!) it turned out the entire problem was a $25 seal that had worn out. The seal was replaced and the pump runs better than ever. At this point I called Mark once again to ask him if he was CERTAIN that my pump needed to be replaced. He said "yes, it does." I explained to him that I had repaired it for $25. He expressed ZERO remorse for trying to get me to give him $3K. None. He had the nerve to act like he had done nothing wrong at all. Needless to say that at that point I informed him I would no longer be needing his services. In addition, he also had the nerve to bill me $150 for coming out here and opening up the pump. Steer clear of this guy. He's also not capable of/unwilling to set up an auto pay. Wants me to hand over a check every month like it's 1995. There are so many better choices out there. My new guy actually charges less, and knows how auto pay works. Crazy. read more

Wow. I'm so glad I found this company. I dealt with Mark. Who was professional and knew what he was doing. I couldn't be happier. I was weary. I've had people in the past over quote and try to take advantage of my elderly mother. So much so that I gave up looking. Now I'm moving overseas and needed to find a reliable person and company. It's so stressful. Well look no further. I'll be personally recommending him to her neighbors and our friends. I'm so happy he fit me in and even happier with his work. A true professional. We have been using Aladdin Pool Service on a weekly basis and they are very good.

This is a zero start rating. I called Aladdin pool service to an estimate on pool service and I was quoted $105 per month over the phone. The owner of the business showed up and said that I needed to pay over $2,600 before he could start the pool service. He wanted $1700 for a vacuum pump $500 for a pool sweep and $350 chemical treatment and that was just the beginning. then he proceeded to tell me I needed to change out all of my pool mainlines because they were too small, It was total bait and switch. I was speaking with him over the phone at no time did he ever say there was a pre-inspection needed or additional charges may apply I decided to get a second opinion because it seemed overpriced and hey I am not rich! So I told him we would get back to him within 24 hours with the decision on what we were going to do. We decided to get second opinions and let him know that we're going to get other bids. This is when he completely flips out and became extremely unprofessional. I told him any reasonable person would get a second opinion when I was quoted $105 for service it's only $105 per month and you want several thousand dollars. Then he proceeded to tell me his time is extremely valuable and he was going to bill me $85 for service call. So I try to phone him and work this out and he hung up on me. For being the owner of the business I was amazed at the horrible treatment I would never talk to a customer like he did. I'm leaving this review here so everybody knows to avoid this pool service company and go with someone else who is trusted. This company will advertise low rates the try to charge thousands on the back end. HOMEOWNERS BEWARE! *** There's no way I needed those type of upgrades I signed up with Greg's pool works and they didn't charge me any bogus fees or water conditioning charges you're just simply trying to charge people bogus charges I got a second opinion and it's what it should be 100 a month no hidden charges. We have used Aladdin Pool Service since 5/2011. Our pool chemical was out of balance as we had been trying to do it ourselves with help from Leslie Pool supply with no luck. Our back yard neighbor used Aladdin Pool and highly recommended him so we gave him a try. We didn't have a pool cleaner, so had a Polaris installed. My wife and have been using Mark's Aladdin Pool Service provider for two years. Mark and his employees have provided excellent service to my wife and I from both pool and equipment service to technical service on the salt generator and pool pumps. Their pricing is an excellent value for the service received and especially when technical problem comes up. We have had a mother board replaced on the salt generator and a motor replaced on our Hayward pump. Mark stands behind all of his work and it is the most cost effective way to go even when compared with internet shopping. You have to be very careful in buying technical items from companies on the internet. In choosing Mark's company, we have been very satisfied for the past two year and have no regrets about making this choice. Our pool looks great and the equipment is very well maintained.
