He was super friendly and was coincidentally already servicing the house we were purchasing so he was familiar with the pool. The work he said needed to be done matched what our inspector suggested. Mike confirmed we needed a new pump and quoted the same price our inspector estimated. This shows his pricing was reasonable and upcharge was minimal. Mike also said we needed a new pool sweep (which we desperately did) and told me the least expensive place to get it. I purchased that and he installed it at no charge. Being a first time pool-owner I had many questions and Mike always responded to my texts and calls. He also helped find us a great company to install solar panels for our pool! A few weeks after we moved in we purchased a spa and are having Matthews Pool Service service that as well. One day our pool turned cloudy and I called Mike. Ive had a few different pool services in the past, some I was happy with and others not so much. I just started monthly service with Matthews and have been very satisfied. The rates are very affordable and you can count on them to be consistent and show up every week on the same day to service your pool. They also leave a sign in and out sheet on you pool equipment so you know exactly what day and time they were there and serviced your pool. This is nice for when you want to get in your pool on the service day, but dont know when the pool guy was there and if the water is safe to swim in. Now we dont have to wonder anymore! read more

As a new pool owner was looking for some guidance on the pool equipments and maintenance. Before signing a contract Mike explained everything in a friendly manner. He gave a good overview of the various services and recommended the right level of service. Prior to this had called one of other large pool company in El Dorado Hills who would not even talk to me before I signed a contract. I hired this company and within 1 month he sold my account to ProTech pool service. Now ProTech, after almost a year, has sold my account to a 3rd company!!! I don't understand what the heck they are doing! Very unhappy! They don't even have the courtesy to talk you about it. They just send strangers on to your property and inform you by a taped note on your door they they are going to start billing you? Absolutely would not recommend any of these companies! read more

Mike Matthews answered the phone right away was very friendly and responsive and clearly answered all of our questions. He personally came over to examine the pool equipment and offered necessary recommendations of what had to be repaired or upgraded. I have been using this service for about a year now. After using two other pool service companies, this was the first that actually took care of my pool, and fixed ongoing issues. A broken auto-fill (I had it turned off because I didn't know what the problem was), sweeper not working, broken float valve.. Mike and his team came in and fixed them all. This is the first pool I have owned, and I did not realize what a properly running pool was supposed to look like until Mike and his team started taking care of it.
