Wow. Got the Genie's Combo Plate door dashed to my hotel, and blew my expectations away. The crispy cauliflower dipped in the garlic sauce was the star of the show. I went to Alladin's for the first time after reading all the great reviews, and it did not disappoint. I came in around 1:30 on a Friday afternoon and was seated immediately. They do not have a ton of indoor seating, so I would anticipate there may be wait times on weekend nights. When I opened the menu, I was slightly overwhelmed with the extensive amount of options to choose from, but ended up going with a rolled pita. I got the Chicken Schwarma rolled pita and my friend got the Chicken Curry rolled pita. The Chicken Curry one was amazing and so flavorful, and the schwarma was also very good but I would recommend getting some sauce on the side for dipping. We also got two orders of pistachio baklava, which were very sweet, flaky, and delicious. For the two rolled pitas and two baklavas, it was less than twenty dollars. Ate lunch here today for the first time. Pretty good sized menu. I wanted to try as many different things as I could, so I started with a vegetarian sampler plate (taboulleh, falafel, stuffed grape leaves, hummus). Had enough hummus left over to take some home. Then a bowl of V-Nine soup which is their version of vegetable soup. Then a large salad with lamb. Had to take some of that home, too. Everything tasted fantastic. Service was friendly and attentive. I ran 12 miles prior to this lunch. So I was starving! I was between Genies' combo (Grilled chicken over rice, grilled cauliflower, hummus and some chopped veggies on the side) and some Mediterranean beef Kelfa plate. Both sounded so good from the menu. First and last visit to this place. Ordered the Alladdin's favourite combo which was a lot of lettuce with some rice and a measly amount of very averagely cooked meat. The chicken was dry, the steak rubbery/totally overcooked and the kofta burnt on the outside/really dry but somehow pretty pink in the middle. Everything was just completely bland in terms of flavour. I'm amazed people are willing to spend $19 on this small plate of food. The service was pretty poor too. No refilled water, no drinks offered after finishing the first round, waiting for 10 minutes to take payment before giving up and using the phone to pay etc. In future we will go to Q Barbe Q, walk out full whilst paying 50% less for much better food. It might not be as nice inside but the food is 10 times more satisfying. read more

My son & I came here for lunch. I ordered the lamb salad - a wonderfully fresh salad with grilled lamb & Tahini yogurt dressing on the side - so good! I have heard multiple positive comments regarding Aladdins Eatery. My average rating is only based on the selections I ordered. I tried the hummus starter and the chicken with rice. The flavor of the hummus was excellent but the pita bread was served in a plastic pouch and my pita was stale. The main course chicken dish came to the table very quickly but was just warm in food temperature. It was clear that this was not freshly prepared but was just reheated. Generally I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants, but this one is REALLY good. I find their food to be really tasty, relatively affordable, and good portions. Great pitas, great hummus, and excellent wraps. Where to start, walked in and was hit with the smell of sewer and bleach. Ordered a $20 sampler with chicken and beef, 4 pieces of something that used to beef came out, one piece was rare, the other were well done, they were all room temperature. They fill 70% of the plate with some soggy mixed greens. The smoothies are crap water, the baklava tasted stale, portion sizes are a joke. Staff are checked out and got the other orders wrong. After spending a couple of hours exploring the labyrinth that is IKEA, Swedish meatballs, lingonberry sauce and cinnamon rolls just weren't going to do it. My sister and I craved sustenance. (Deciphering Expedits from Malms from Melltorps can be hard work!) So we were thrilled to find a well-reviewed, local eatery nearby, among the strip malls that surround IKEA. Aladdin's Eatery will perhaps now be as much a part of the trips to West Chester as IKEA is. To begin with, we ordered an appetizer of falafel and dawali (stuffed grape leaves). We were surprised with how quickly they came out after we put in our order -- maybe five minutes tops. Falafels aren't my favorite Mediterranean cuisine, but these were filling. And the grape leaves were almost too hot to touch at first. They seemed like they had just been made, and I'm always a fan of the tanginess of the grape leaves with the savoriness of the filling. And before we could even get one third of the way through our appetizers, our main dishes were served. If you're in a hurry, this is definitely a great spot for a fast, sit-down meal. For our entrees, we each got the Chicken Mishwi (char-grilled seasoned chicken thigh) on Jasmine's Favorite Rice. I had wanted chicken shawarma on rice, and our waitress said this was the closest to that. It was not the chicken shaved off a spit that I'm used to with chicken shawarma, but this was very nicely seasoned chicken. Very good. And Jasmine's Favorite Rice was more than just jasmine rice. As the menu states, it's "a medley of cooked beans, vegetables, and brown rice seasoned with a blend of herbs and spices." I got the tahini on the side. I heart tahini! Our waitress also served us a basket of pita, which was great to eat with the rice and chicken. All in all, this dish went beyond my expectations. Aladdin's Eatery does not seem to cut corners with its food. My only suggestion would be that it would have been great to get a small amount of hummus with entree dishes, like what I've seen included at other Mediterranean restaurants. And then for the road, my sis and I got some baklava. You can't skimp and not get the baklava. Can't wait to get some more Mediterranean with a side of Swedish furniture! P.S. Truth be told, I don't much care for Mediterranean food. I can enjoy a good falafel or hummus, but it's generally not something I find myself craving. I still find myself wanting to give this restaurant five stars. We actually purchased a www.cincysavers.com deal that brought us here with $30 to spend (purchased for $15.) I think you'll find that $30 here will go far. We considered breaking it into 2 visits since the deal was 2 $15 certificates, but decided to go for one big 'feast'. I thoroughly enjoyed our server. He was helpful and attentive without being annoying. We'd first ordered the Foole M Damas, and he'd asked us if we'd tried it before. When we said he hadn't, he explained that the smell can be a bit offensive to some and offered to bring us a sample before we ordered a full-size appetizer. We sampled, and it wasn't the worst thing ever, but we decided to order the full-sized Hummus instead. All of the portions were decently sized and the food was good. All in all, we tried the Hummus, Fatayer, Greek Pitza, Hummus Falafel Rolled, and a slice of cheesecake for dessert. We definitely went home with leftovers! The Hummus Falafel Rolled was my fave. The menu offers lots to choose from and vegetarian (or other specialty) items are clearly noted. The interior was cute with soft lighting.
