Cedarland has delicious food from shawarma to humus to baklava. The gyros are outstanding too. There is nothing on the menu we've tried that hasn't been excellent. The service is great too. Everyone is friendly and kind. We also like that you can buy ingredients there for making some of the food at home. The atmosphere is casual and quiet. Excellent flavors, meat texture could really be improved. My darling wife & I stopped by CedarLand this afternoon for some food. My chicken shawarma platter was attractively plated. The included sauce was NICE & garlicky. Turnip & cucumber pickles were crunchy & lightly salty. I'd never had tabouli salad before, and was concerned that it would taste TOO strongly of parsley. My fears were unfounded. I loved the tabouli salad. Great texture, great lemon juice flavor. Hummus was creamy, and had a great flavor. The thyme (zatar) pie was very nice. Unfortunately, the chicken on my chicken shawarma platter was DRY DRY DRY. Nicely seasoned, but DRY. Not sure if it had been rotating in front of the flame too long, but chicken doesn't need to be this "dead." My wife had the lamb kebab platter. She had the excellent hummus with it, along with fattoush salad. She found the salad excellent, and the toasted pita chips gave a nice crunchy texture without the HARD chunks seen with normal croutons. Unfortunately, the chunks of lamb, despite being nicely seasoned, were TOUGH. This might have been a result of how the lamb was cooked, or its leanness. In any case, even with the provided knife, she found it a bit tough going to cut the lamb chunks into smaller pieces. On the "plus" side, I generally despise lamb, its flavor, and its smell. I actually could tolerate the lamb from her plate (despite it being tough). The restaurant was VERY clean, bright, quiet, and warm (even the bathroom!). A great environment. The staff were all very friendly. I'd gladly rate them 5+ stars if the cooked meat texture was improved. read more

This is not a fancy place, but the food is pretty good. You order at the counter, then they bring your food to you. I like that they have pictures for most of the menu items. I enjoyed the mini meat pies, falafel. and baba ghanoush. I did like their grape leaves, but not the best I've had in the area--they were a bit dry to me. My husband really enjoyed his shawarma. This is a very authentic Lebanese restaurant. They have offerings that are hard to find at other places like stuffed zucchini. Their savory baked goodies are so good, it makes one dream about them. Flying to OH just to go there is justifiable. I'd go there again just to eat there... I had a Groupon (remember those?!?) for Cedarland and was looking forward to giving them a try, and was not disappointed. Great "off the beaten path/hole in the wall" spot, wonderful "mom and pop" operation with so many tempting options, you'll want to try one of EVERYTHING!! I got the Mediterranean Sampler (Rice with ground beef, kebbe ball, hummus, tabouli, grape leaves and pita bread) and shared a few pies (meat, cheese, and spinach) with my friends. Everything was so good and fresh!! Would probably just order a bunch of apps. next time I'm there, just to sample a bit of everything. Although we were FULL, we couldn't resist sampling a few of the more traditional and lesser known (to me, anyway...) dessert pastries. All were delicious!! Be sure to give this wonderful Lebanese eatery a try... We were the only ones dining in on a Saturday evening, but they did have a steady flow of take-out orders. Their food was served to us this evening for our retreat dinner. Everything was fantastic. I am not a big shawarma fan, but theirs was delicious. The food is unbelievable. The tabouli salad is fantastic. If you've never had this it is a real treat. The prices and quality can't be beat. The grape leaves don't have any stems or veins. My wife and I ordered beef shawarma, tabouli, hummus, stuffed squash, and grape leaves. The beef shawarma was really dry, had almost no flavor, and was too small for a "dinner" portion. The grape leaves were really small too, but they were tasty. The tabouli and hummus were excellent, though their sizes were also off-putting. Finally, the stuffed squash. The sauce was good, but the rice inside was dry and undercooked to the pint of being chewy. I could tell the squash had been prepared long ago. Do not go. Terrible value. Mediocre flavors. read more

There is a good reason why this restaurant is empty! My husband and I went for their buffet for lunch today and the food was horrible... All the food tested so bad and looked so bad as well. They had old falafel, bad spaghetti, unflavored meet, and unseasoned salad!!! Stay away from their lentil soup as it was uneatable and might have been cooked weeks ago and please don't think their dessert is Arabic (it's the worst thing you would ever eat). I pulled into Mc Donald's when I suddenly and unexpectedly saw Cedarland Restaurant and Bakery. I ran in because they were closing in 3 minutes and I was craving a middle eastern falafel wrap. The very nice lady was extremely pleasant and gladly made me a falafel wrap. And it was perfect! beautiful food. locally speaking, this is by far the best mediterranean you can get around here. its pretty cheap for what it is, proudly owned by people that are clearly passionate about what they make, and it is actually fresh - a quality taste of jerusalem or yaffa grill cant say about themselves. bread is baked incredibly well, baklava is straight holiday tier of excellence in terms of how delicately its produced, and the subtleties of the flavors. one of the best places to eat in a desert of 'artisan' burgers, fast food, and general junk yaffa comes close to this only due to the sheer volume of food you get for what you pay, but after eating it several times compared to this it's quite obvious cedarland actually MAKES food, not just COOKING things out of boxes. taste of jerusalem only deserves credit in so far as everything its surrounded by is drivel thank u cedarland. also love the inside decor and logo read more

This place offers a rose drink that is super hard to find and it's super delicious. I love their menu because it's diverse and it offers lunch specials. The only dislikes I have is that their buffet is up to par with the ordered foods. For those of you who are sensitive or dislike strongly seasoned food you might want to stray away from the buffet. Granted all the foods have strong flavours, but the buffets can be a little overpowering. Otherwise the service is nice and I like their baklava. What a great little spot! Came here with my mom who still lives in the area and has been wanting to try it for a while. She has celiac and they even had gluten free bread to serve with the hummus. I was pleasantly surprised by that! Their hummus was THE BEST I've ever had. So creamy chicken shawarma was huge and veg falafel was yummy.
