Another 32 oz large iced latte? I'm not understanding this at all- maybe it's a south county thing-who knows. Was not good- no espresso flavor or and hardly tasted the vanilla. This cute little roadside coffee shop was the perfect find for when we were driving aimlessly around the area on one of our "fall drives." This place is so cute, it's like a little fairy house in the center of a garden in the center of a strip mall/plaza. I mean, what more could you want? I got a small chai latte and damn was that good. Creamy, smooth and full of spice. It was the perfect addition to a perfect fall day. I did not try any food and took my beverage to go, so I am hoping to return sometime to try more off of their menu. What I can say, is that the Chai was a solid choice! read more

A small and quaint cafe off RI-138 just a mile from I-95. The cafe inside was warm and welcoming and the outside was nicely decorated with plenty of seating if the weather supports. The folks working were very welcoming and made a BOMB three cheese grilled cheese. I substituted a brusselsprout/roasted sweet potato salad for a small fee and was not disappointed. The cold brew coffee was good, as was the scone but truly the sandwich was the star here. I recommend giving it a shot! read more

After spending my entire life in the "foodie" town of Mystic, CT, you could say I was a bit saddened by the lack of restaurants surrounding my new home of Voluntown, CT. I'm always on a quest for something different and imagine my surprise upon stumbling upon Alaina's Coffee and Kitchen while cruising the area one fine day, killing time. The moment I pulled into the parking lot and spotted the kitschy little building and the happy clientele milling about, I knew I'd found a gem. I immediately looked up their menu and, as a lifelong vegetarian, was absolutely thrilled to see several scrumptious sounding options! I ordered the vegetarian wrap, which, in most places, is literally vegetables and maybe hummus in a wrap. Not the case at Alainas! This bad boy is created with crispy eggplant rounds, garlic hummus, roasted red peppers, arugula, cucumbers, tomato, onion, provolone, and a basil mayo. It was pure heaven. I would have never imagined that combo together so I'm forever in their debt that they did the hard work for me, as it's common practice being a vegetarian to have to design your own gosh darn food. I visited a week or two later and also thoroughly enjoyed their chickpea wrap. I can't wait to visit again and try their crisped eggplant caprese. The food was great! I was up in RI for a bit and was missing seasonings/ flavorful food LOL! On the way out of the state I stopped to get coffee and breakfast and the food was amazing. The service was great, helped me pick stuff out (if they didn't I probably would've ordered everything) and they were all very nice for 7:30 AM. The prices were so reasonable and even after I tipped my four items came out to around $11.50. I highly recommend if you are in the area and like happy good food! read more

Stopped in for coffee before heading back to NJ. Very glad to see it open on New Year's Day since I wanted to stop here after reading all of the great reviews. I also ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese on toasted sourdough. Both the sandwich and the Maui flavored coffee were excellent. Hubby got the dark roast and said it was very good. Service was friendly and quick. There is indoor seating available but very limited as they're a small cafe. I will keep this one in mind for future visits to the area. read more

The coffee and food here is delicious however the customer service is below par. When the barista came over to deliver our bag of food she handed us the bag with a look of disgust and leaned over to put it on the table and ran away as if she didn't want to get close to us. It was very rude and even caught my boyfriends attention as being off. We felt unwelcome. Our order was normal and we were sitting quietly waiting for our food so I don't know why she would act like that. read more

I'm giving this one star only because the people who work there were pleasant, and the place was clean. I was on the road this morning and stopped in. I ordered a hot chocolate for my child and an egg burrito minus the onions (allergies) and the bacon (I'm a vegetarian). As soon as I got to the car, I realized I had been given a coffee instead of hot chocolate. OK, things happen. I went back and was given a hot chocolate instead. I drove 15 minutes to my destination only to discover that I had been given an egg burrito with both onions and bacon on it. I couldn't eat it, and I didn't have time to drive 15 minutes back to ask for a replacement. I had to throw it out. What a waste of money. This was both my first and last trip there. This place is awesome! They are open 7 days a week and have great food! We loved the breakfast burrito (it is spicy), Irish breakfast burrito, burrito and the traditional egg sandwich. Our friends also enjoyed the spicy mama too (not as hot as the burrito). We also have tried their crisped eggplant caprese and chicken milanese sandwiches which were delicious! We were also able to order them in the morning!! We think their coffee is okay since we prefer stronger coffee, but I'm sure many are satisfied with it. I thought their acai bowl was okay as it was a little too soupy for me. The only downfall is sometimes the food and drinks take a while to get them pending how many people are ordering, but it's worth the wait! The staff are friendly and super happy there is a new restaurant that's delicious in the area!! This is an outdoor location so you can't sit inside but their set up is really cute outside & they accept credit card! Definitely check out their specials too!! read more

Tried 2 times and both were a letdown. First time, although the salad was alright, it wasn't the one I ordered and I had to take half of the toppings off (I don't eat gorgonzola or bacon). The grilled chicken on top of the salad was good so the next time I ordered the grilled chicken caesar wrap expecting the same grilled chicken strips. Nope, now their "grilled" chicken is dry, tasteless oven roasted slices of chicken and they haven't updated their menu descriptions yet so don't expect actual grilled chicken. And there was a spiderweb on my scone, so yeah, disappointing. read more

I've given this place 3 chances and each time i'm very disappointed. The coffee is watered down and has little to no flavor, the three times i've gone they are out of more than one thing, and the staff seems to be pleasant only when you don't ask questions.
