    Small but quaint.

Absolutely amazing! We left Foxwoods casino looking for a good breakfast option. We were tired of the same old restaurants. We happened upon this little place, "in the middle of nowhere" and it was a hidden gem. A real treasure! I ordered scrambled eggs, which were fresh and fluffy. Tasted like they were farm fresh. The breakfast meal came with seasoned cubed potatoes and they were by far the BEST I have ever had! On the side was a piece of French toast and it was delicious. Perfect addition to an already amazing plate. The service was top notch! Staff was friendly and talk to you like you were a regular. The diner was small but quaint. I felt very much at home there. I will definitely be back for another visit and round of potatoes!

This is a great diner. We went to eat here as it is halfway between the two new Thomas Dambo Trolls in Richmond and North Kingstown. It was a great lunch space. Staff very friendly and did not wait long for a table. The food came out without much of a wait. They have plenty of free parking. I tried the pastrami Reuben which was delicious. It came with a soup or salad. All of their soups are handmade. I had the beef barley and had huge nice chunks of beef and was delicious. The fries and coleslaw were great. My friend had their burger and was a good size and also very good. She had their burger sweet potato fries and were yummy as well. Their menu is quite diverse and they also serve breakfast as well which I will have to come back sometime to try. A great diner to add to your list. There is also ice cream place next door as well. It was a perfect break while finding the trolls.

Tonight I had a salad with tuna. I love their tuna--no onions! Very fresh, nice mix of greens, with cucumber , tomato, peppers, olives, and onions (which I took off ). The salad is quite large, I even brought some home! Service here is always prompt and friendly. The diner itself is no frills, but for us, it's about the food! They do not serve breakfast on Friday night, the only night they are open. The other days, they close at 3. Well worth the trip to the Middle of Nowhere diner!

It's not really in the middle of nowhere (this is RI after all, the littlest state of the union) but it is in a fairly rural area, alongside a main route. That being so, it's a popular spot for a meal or break. Service is prompt and courteous. The food is pretty classic diner fare although this being RI you'll find fried clam rolls, clam cakes, and stuffies, too. My wife had a very nice Greek salad and I went with a couple of hot dogs with sauerkraut. The fries were pretty good as was the side of Cole slaw. Not bad!

I love this place stop here often - great food, great staff, great service! The Reuben omelette was delicious! Coffee is great. Easy on, easy off the interested 95. Best kept secret.

I love me a good diner so who says I can't give a diner 5 stars ? First let's talk about service. Coming from Miami, I can't remember when I have enjoyed warmer service and hospitality- I almost started to believe it was a lost art like phone calls. Andy whose last name I didn't catch is the security guard who recommended we have breakfast here and I am so thankful he did. I had a steaming cup of coffee with the Irish benny which was served over corned beef hash with home fries, served freshly cooked, I could not ask for creamier eggs.. just what I needed for this cold rainy morning. My man had the yankee pot roast with spinach and gravy mashed potatoes - tender and flaky. Also had a steaming cup of clam chowder- our first on this trip - delish The portions were huge so I actually asked for a to go box because I definitely wanted to try some dessert. I had the strawberry short cake which I as recommended by our server - I'm not much of a strawberry gal but I have to say she was right. My man had the Boston cream pie - both had a whopping amount of whipped cream and we ate to our hearts content. Cannot wait to be back in the area to try other dishes like the cod, meatloaf and sandwiches I saw on neighboring tables. What a find !

Great diner to stop at! I got a breakfast special- stuffed French toast. It was so delicious and they don't skimp on portion size. It's a good hometown diner and the staff were all very kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

Sometimes names are totally appropriate; the "MIddle of Nowhere Diner" is exactly that - an old-style diner that's situlated about as far away from everything as it's possible to be and yet still be part of Civilization ;-) Tip: Despite it's location, this is a very popular breakfast venue; their menu is basic but everything on it is affordable and tasty. Service is friendly and fast; sometimes there's a wait for a table when the place gets busy, but turnover is surprisingly quick, and you never feel rushed when you dine here.

Excellent diner! And the staff has personality... lots of personality! Our server pointed out the $100 minimum tip... LOL!! Their shaved beef sandwich is a treat. And, they have lots of ever-changing specials. You'll have a difficult time deciding what to order! Service was fast and friendly, and the food was all excellent.

I have been here, before, for breakfast, which is spectacular. But, first time here for lunch! I highly recommend the Middle of Nowhere Cheese urged with Swiss cheese, mushrooms, onions, (I had red peppers), lettuce, tomatoes, French fries, Cole slaw and pickles! Yum!!!!

With a friend's band on their entertainment schedule, I found the perfect opportunity to try it out. I was looking forward to both the music and the food and while the music was amazing, my overall experience didn't quite live up to expectations. Pro: - My friends and I were able to reserve a table ahead of time, which helped secure space to enjoy the show. We had an up close and personal view, and it definitely made for an immersive experience. Cons: - The space is way too small for live bands. The band was squeezed into a corner, and the closest table was practically on top of the lead singer. The small space in front of the band may have been meant for dancing, but it blocked the path to the bathrooms and food service. It felt cramped, loud, and uncomfortable. - The pub-height tables had tall chairs that were wobbly and unstable. I'm not a big person, but even I felt like I might tip over sitting there. Plus, the layout was so tight that we all had to get up every time someone wanted to wiggle their way to the bar or the bathroom. - Our waitress disappeared for long stretches of time, and service was painfully slow. We ended up having to go up to the bar for refills between courses because no one was around to help. - The food was disappointing. I ordered the house-made tavern chips (which look like potato chips on the website) but got plain tortilla chips instead. I also had two hot weiners, and while they had all the right toppings, the flavor was all wrong. The meat sauce tasted burnt, and they were completely overloaded with celery salt. It was honestly the worst I've ever had. Others at the table felt underwhelmed with their selections as well - the quesadilla was soggy and the appetizer sampler was just okay. - The bathroom locks were unreliable. The lock on the door failed halfway through my visit, and it took several attempts to get the button to work again, which made for a pretty awkward experience. Given this visit, I'm unlikely to return. If I do, it'd have to be for a great band, and I'll definitely eat somewhere else beforehand.

The parking lot is 'smallish' on the right side of the building and flows right to left in one direction, so be sure to look for the 'enter' sign. There are three steps up into the diner so be aware of that if you have difficulty using steps. Also, the restroom is tiny: like so small the sink is about a foot long by half as much wide, small. We stop in here on our trips out to Groton. Last visit we stopped for a late breakfast/early lunch. I ordered a coffee and it came in a nice big mug and is a mellow blend with a smooth finish. There are photo descriptions on the table of what your eggs will look like based on how you order it, so no surprises. What a great idea. The table holds napkins, hot sauces, salt & pepper, jellies, creamer and sugars. The staff are pleasant. Some are more chatty than others. There are definitely some regulars here each time we visit. The menu has lots of breakfast options but there are no substitutions so you may need to order al a carte or get a different 'meal' option and add-on an item. Just a heads up. They have plenty of toast options including English muffins. The lunch menu is a variety of sandwiches and burgers. Fries are tasty. Lettuce and tomato on your sandwiches are fresh. I can't think of a single disappointment we've had here. If you are in the area and enjoy a nice diner experience, stop in to Norm's.

She ordered an omelette and toast but she didn't realize potatoes don't come with it. So after the food came out she ordered a side of potatoes. They took forever to come out. So normally a diner would have hash browns and home fries already on the griddle but this place seems to put them on the griddle made to order which is probably why this place is always packed. On the other hand the food was great. I had my waffle with butter and their house made strawberry jam. I also ordered a half order of their biscuits and gravy. That was better than expected. The biscuit was soft and flaky and the gravy had the most meat in it that I've ever had. Bacon wasn't as crispy as last time but still great. Bacon can't go wrong. Especially deep fried bacon. My son had the chicken tenders and fries. I assumed the fries were meh because he didn't finish them. The chicken tenders were pretty good. Besides a few French fries we all finished all of our food. Service was ok. Had some moments when we were trying to get her attention for a bit but like I said it was a full house in there. Those cute one of a kind bird houses are for sale so make sure to purchase the one you have your eye on. A couple bought two of them while we were there. Only one tv here and best to sit at the counter if that's what you like to do while you eat. Lots of locals eating here and chit chatting. Great food at a relaxed pace.
