Lets say I was so eager to try the cinnamon roll I didn't get a chance to take a photo of it prior. The cinnamon roll was delicious, soft, fluffy, and the icing was just the right amount of sweetness. They make homemade syrup flavors in house and the almond iced latte was also delicious. The service was excellent and very welcoming. The coffee shop feels very cozy and clean. I frequently drive past this area so I will definitely stop back in to try other menu items. read more

Amazing!! The owner and his family were there and were just delightful to visit with. His grandma and aunt came in from the city too. We all engaged in a wonderful, lively conversation, which we just loved. We are from the mid west out here for a fall foliage trip and stopped at Higher Grounds. Came here for the RI Food Fights Iced Coffee Celebration and this place did not disappoint. Upon entering the coffee shop, I was greeted by the sweetest batista who was so pleasant. I ended up getting a Smores flavored coffee and it was like dessert in a cup. Sweet, but not too sweet. Was eager to check out this coffee shop! Hadn't been to Richmond in quite some time and having grown up here I love supporting local businesses. I took the little munchkin with me and the staff was so friendly to him. He's a typical toddler so he was exploring and walking around and I was never made to feel like he was a bother, everyone would stop and smile or wave to him. Definitely gave me that hometown feel I was hoping for. Space is super cute and cozy, I could imagine myself bringing a book or some work I needed to get done and plopping down with a nice cup of coffee. Prices are fair, they have a great selection and all tips go to charity. Each month they select a new charity and all tips given that month will go to that particular charity. Hidden gem! Really great little spot, with great coffee, excellent breakfast sandwiches, and the baked goods are deeeeelicious! But the best part is the staff. I'm assuming it's the family who owns it. They are all so nice, friendly, and you can tell they genuinely care about your experience there. I love walking in and seeing a smiling face every time I go. The interior is warm and inviting, with really neat things on the walls- the maps and guitars!
