This wasn't my usual spot to go for a smog check but I was in the area visiting a friend. The…read morelocation was very small and not a lot of room to maneuver around. It was like pulling up in front of someone's driveway and getting your smog check done right there. There was only one guy working. I would describe him as nice, quick and efficient. When he was writing down the info for my car, I showed him the web special on my phone and he was able to give me the discount. It took about 25 minutes for my smog check to be done. It probably would have been done quicker but there were a couple of people ahead of me. They did a few chairs inside for you to sit while you wait. If you were planning on using the web special, I would recommend calling them just to make sure your car qualified for the discount before you go. I thought I might have needed to call a few times before someone picked up but they were quick to answer my call. I noticed the guy actually carried the phone with him when I was there. The only downside about this place was that they charge you for a retest if your smog check failed so that would be something to consider if you decided to come here.

I came here for a retest after my car failed the first inspection. I paid $59 without realizing…read morethere was a $39 offer on the website. When I politely asked about it during my return visit, the employee (different from the first time) was immediately rude. I was trying to explain myself calmly and even said "let me explain better" since English is not my first language. Instead of helping, he gave a very hard, mocking laugh, acted like he couldn't understand me, and then started yelling. It felt disrespectful and humiliating. I was calm and respectful the entire time, so the reaction felt completely unnecessary. I also saw other reviews mentioning rude behavior from staff, and others saying they were refused the $39 discount advertised online. At first I ignored those reviews, but now I understand what people meant. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional, and basic customer respect was missing.

The shop owner is outstanding: friendly, professional, courteous, and incredibly efficient, especially for a one-man operation. However, a major word of caution for manual transmission owners: The owner rode my clutch excessively when moving the car in and out of the shop and while getting up to speed for the dyno stages. I could hear my clutch protesting with every shift. While the customer service was excellent, and the price was fair, I cannot bring myself to return with a manual transmission car. Automatic vehicle owners: Highly recommended. Manual vehicle owners: Proceed with extreme caution

After the failed test, he had no suggestions, nothing. Said I would have to get it repaired and return for another check. I AAC Smog from a recomendation from a friend. The owner (Wing) greeted me, told me what to do before he tests it. I did those simple things and the car passed when I brought it in. Wow, I am happy I passed. AAC Smog (Wing) has gained a very satified customer. He did not try to add on. He is someone you can trust to do it right. The first Test Only guy made no suggestions, no advice, nothing. I should have come here first.
