We are a larger family and finding a good fit with a dentist is always a challenge. The staff is wonderful with our whole family. The children actually enjoy heading back for dental visits. Below is my email to them that will explain why you should not ever go near this place. :) Hello my son is or was (I am not even sure anymore) an ortho patient there at your Avondale Office. Back a couple years ago when it was brought to my attention that my son would need baby teeth pulled (he did not have adult teeth to replace) I was told he would need braces to close the gaps and his treatment would be about 3 years. We were never informed by your office that you guys were no longer providing ortho treatments at your Avondale location, I just so happened to call in to confirm our appointment and I was informed that another office in your group would reach out to me to schedule our next ortho visit. Weeks went by I didn't hear anything so I called your Avondale office and was scheduled for an ortho appointment at the Goodyear location. Yesterday was the ortho appointment at the Goodyear location where we were informed by the ortho doctor that he would not touch my son's braces because whoever told us they would close the gaps is in correct. So now I paid for braces for nothing ? Also my son's mouth is messed up due to his teeth he had pulled. Someone from your district office needs to contact me immediately I will also be seeking guidance from an attorney and the BBB as I am very sickened by your offices incomplete. read more

Amazing Customer Service. Recently, my nephew had an accident and chipped his front tooth. I was so glad we came across Alameda Crossing Dental Group. The Dentist and staff at this office are amazing , compassionate, and exemplify professionalism. They established a treatment plan, and even help set up appointments to meet time/and or insurance constraints. Whenever there was a concern or issue, the staff managed to see my nephew the same day. After my dentist retired a few years ago, I tried the new dentist/owner. After 1 visit, I shopped around for a new dentist. The new dentist (new in 2019'ish), stood in the doorway to supposedly look give me my exam. He didn't even enter the room. He didn't say hello. It was my first visit with him and he didn't introduce himself. He didn't touch any tools or my mouth. It lasted maybe 15 seconds, then he said okay, see you in 6 months. I don't think so! Thankfully, it was just a checkup and I wasn't having any issues. I don't know why someone who can't enter the patients room is any form of medical provider. Pathetic! read more

When I started with this office, I felt like they cared and were concerned about me as a patient. Now they seem to be all about the money, policies and control without allowing the patient to be able to choose the direction of treatment. I had extensive X-rays six months ago and they refused to give me a "cleaning" today without X-rays...really!?!? read more

I went in as a new patient with dental insurance for a cleaning. I chose this practice because they are in my network. After exam, I was told I had a crack in a tooth that required a crown. I could get it same day or the traditional way. I asked what my insurance covered and if there was a difference in price. I was told my insurance did not cover crowns and the price would be the same no matter which I chose. I also told them I left my readers at home so I couldn't read what I was signing (I'm 67 years old). I trusted them. The price seemed too high. I was then told they could take 100 off if that would help. I went ahead and had it done. I was there for 5 hours. I was never even offered water. The crown has a rough texture to it and does not feel right. It rubs against my cheek and one side is longer than the other. The paper they had me sign states I agreed to go outside my insurance to pay the higher price. They lied to me to overcharge me and the crown is subpar. Do not give this practice your business. Be careful and wear your glasses and read everything before you sign and pay. read more

I have been a patient at this office for years. I recently had my husband seen in May, and he does NOT like doctor offices in general. The services he needed were expensive, so I asked for pre-auths to be done. By the end of July, due to his pain level, we decided to proceed although the pre-auths were never fully completed. Dentist office blamed insurance, which I believed, until I got involved and started doing more work than the dental office. He had his procedure 8/1. We paid half up front and agreed to a payment plan for the remaining while we waited for insurance to pay. After seeing how much the primary paid, it was clear we would be overpaying. I asked for the payment plan to be turned off, which I was told it was....nope! Had to babysit our credit card and request credits. Numerous emails were sent to the office manager that I feel were ignored. Finally with the help of a benefit specialist through pacific dental, I was finally able to confirm on 11/20 that our account was paid in full. As with other reviews, they were great years ago and now....be careful. PLEASE keep on top of your account, make sure you owe what you do. You shouldn't have to do these things but they don't care. Also, get everything in writing as I was told things verbally that they went back on and had to fight to get them to hold up to what they said about my responsibility for payment. Came in today for my crown appointment. They moved offices mid-stream and failed to let me know. So now I have to find another dentist to help me because these guys can't get their act together, not to mention jacking up my work schedule. During my first appointment, the ladies at the reception desk were disheveled and seemed annoyed at my presence. Their pricing guide/treatment plan is confusing at best and both myself and my wife will be making the drive to Mesa where they know how to treat people. Is everything in the west valley a mess? I'm on the phone now and she put me on hold to cancel "all my remaining appointments". Didn't know I had more than today...interesting. Is this a rolling scam?? No apologies...and the next appointment she has available is in August. Who the hell is calling the shots here? I used this office years ago when I lived in Avondale and had no complaints. But now, much different story. They somehow lost my insurance information, did not update the information I provided them and I was in their office for an hour, and never saw the dentist. Called back 15 minutes after my appointment time and when I asked about that, I was told they were behind. I understand that, but it would've been nice to know when I checked in and then I would've had different expectations. Had a ton of x-rays taken and then sat in an exam room for 20 minutes before someone came in and said oh we're running behind still, dentist will be with you shortly. I could not wait any longer. No. I brought my 3 year old here for a routine checkup & "cleaning". AFTER giving my son a FULL FRONTAL X-RAY (which IS NOT usually done until the child is at least 5 or if there is an obvious dental issue) and saying that he had a cavity, he "referred" us to a pediatric dentist that he knew of... Of course I did not take him to the pediatric dentist he suggested, but researched my own and got my child in ASAP at Hilger's. No cavities. The dentists there were amazing & curious about why my 3 year old was radiated for NO REASON. This place is just trying to cash checks- which my insurance denied paying because the dental office knows better than to x-ray a 3 year olds face but tried to squeeze money. Such friendly, inviting and helpful people. Always willing to answer the plethora of questions I would chuck at them, and calming my concerns. After at least 15 years of being a patient at the various doctors owning/working at Alameda Crossing; it's time to move on. I received a bill in the mail today for $150 from Alameda that stated that it was 90 days overdue. Called and spoke with a representative at Alameda and she tracked it down to a procedure I had in May of last year that my insurance either fully, or partially rejected. In all of my years at this location (and thousands of dollars spent on myself and my family's care); I have never had a procedure rejected. The receptionist pointed out to me that when I am given an amount the procedure is going to cost, and how much I will be responsible for; it is only an estimate, and it's up to my insurance to decide how much they'll pay. This has never happened to me before as all of my and my family's procedures were accurately spelled out to me BEFORE I consented to having the procedure. I've paid up front on many procedures, or I've explored other, less costly options (including not even getting certain procedures due to the cost); but I've never gotten a bill 10 months after a procedure that claims to be 90 days past due when today was the first bill I've ever received. I then asked if the doctor will ever know if a patient has decided to leave their practice. She replied "no", unless they get him involved in the reason for the patient's departure. She didn't offer to do that for me, so.......... read more

I scheduled an appointment for today to have a general teeth cleaning. When I arrived dr Rice had me come into his office to discuss what issues I might be having or if I needed any other services. I should have know then that they just want my money. Proceeded to have X-rays ( ok that's normal) then brought in to the exam room. First the technician came on and checked my teeth for periodontal issues and left to have the dr come in and DISCUSS what they saw and what I needed done. Again I said I just want a general cleaning and that I didn't have a lot of time. I'm mow an hour on and haven't had anything done Yet! Dr Rice proceeds to poke around in my mouth with a very rough hand and jams a sharp instrument on my gum and when I yelled he said , oh does that hurt. When he was done he informed me that I would need a bridge or implant for a fractured root. Then said I would also need a deep cleaning of my teeth and gums. Still no cleaning done yet. He then brings on his billing person to tell her what I need done and for her to get me a price ! I told him I was not having any of that done and can I please get my teeth cleaned. They both leave me again and make me wait and finally she comes back to give me the price of all that work. 3,000.00!!!! I said again I just want a general cleaning. Her response was , oh we can't do that today because you need a deep clean and we have to schedule that with you. How would you like to pay for that. I said I'm not and got up and walked out with out getting my teeth cleaned! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They just want you money. read more

DONT GO HERE!!! I spent thousands for my braces and Dr. Seymour was awesome but he is no longer there. And I was told that my first set of replacement retainers would be free and after that it would be $150. I lost my bottom retainer and called to getting first replacement (free) and they refused! Saying that I would have to pay $150. They 100% went back on their word. Not honorable in their prices! After explaining about how that is just not right they then offered the retainer for $75.... they are just all over the place. Horrible customer service in that aspect. I will not be returning and I suggest you, reader, find a dentistry you will be able to trust. read more

I can't even begin to tell you how amazing this place is by far the top dentist I have ever been to !! I have a huge fear of the dentist and here I feel at home Dr Bui did some work on me Friday and we knew the tooth next to it was gonna need work ... well by Monday I was dying in pain . I called Tuesday at 930 they had me in with Dr. Rice by 11 and fixed and on my way the nicest front office staff and hygienist as well . Tuesday night I was still in massive pain not their fault I'm a baby I called the emergency line and dr rice called me with in ten minutes and had me helped. I had dental work for about 4 hrs today with dr. Patel He is absolutely amazing. I have a huge fear of the dentist and yet need a lot of dental work done. He is very understanding and gentle. This place is a high pressure sales dental facility. They make you wait a long time in the chair waiting and in all my 48 years of getting my teeth cleaned I have never had an office staff member come in make you sign for payment while I am sitting in the chair before any work gets done. I guess they have had so many problems with their patients not wanting to pay for the expensive unneeded procedures they try to sell you. I loved the DDS and the hygienist. My family and I were patients for over 7 years. I loved that the same location had your general dentist and orthodontics. BUT the office has made changes over the years and it just continued to get worse. We have changed our dentist office because of the HORRIBLE changes. My daughter had braces with the orthodontist and we set up payment plans for the service that were not covered under our insurance. A year after my daughter started her ortho care, my son started his orthodontics treatment. I was advised that my son did NOT need extensive ortho care, just a slight adjustments. My son would only need his braces for a year or less, depending on if instructions were followed during the care. BUT when it came to the cost, my son's treatment was 800.00 more expensive. When questioned, I was advised that the NEW orthodontist has different pricing for his services. I accepted this a moved on with the treatment, because I liked the location and conveyance. The NEW orthodontist only visits this office location 1 day a week. Suddenly this was NO LONGER COVENANT. He would take 2 week vacations. He had regular 'business retreats'. When I complained about unable to get appointments & suggested they hire another orthodontist to assist with the HIGH VOLUME of ortho patients, the suggestion went ignored (for over a year). Then my son's treatment dragged on for over 18 months because the orthodontist was RARELY THERE. My family and I are covered under 2 dental coverage plans. YET the office staff could NOT GET THIS CORRECT. I argued with the billing girls for more than 6 months about bills for simple cleaning for 2 of my children. After continued billing and calls to this office, I had to speak with the area manager, who confirmed I would not receive any further bills. I was guaranteed the area manager would take care of this. YET, THE NEXT MONTH, there is another bill for the same service. We finally had this corrected and the bills stopped, but so did our visits. read more

I went in as a new patient with a hole in my back tooth. From the moment I hit the door, these people were kind, courteous, and downright friendly. The paperwork got processed fast via Ipad, and I was in to see the dentist quickly. Kudos to the front desk staff! You want to get Dr. Domingo. That guy is smooth as silk. I was under a local anesthetic, which he administered almost painlessly, and that guy is so smooth...I fell asleep while he was drilling. They know how to make you feel comfortable there. They explain everything BEFORE they do anything. Afterwards, even though he had other patients, Dr. Domingo triple checked my teeth, and the nurse checked it twice, and had me check it twice. They do not stop until you are happy! They worked with me on the financing (They do state of the art stuff and can do everything in one visit) so I did not mind paying a bit more, which worked out because they had a discount promotion going (ask about it). There are a lot of dentist's offices around here. Thank goodness I chose this one, because I came in with a broken tooth and a bad mood and left with a sore jaw, better looking teeth, and NO HEADACHES. I was smiling as I walked out the door.... I went to this dentist in November for a much needed check up and cleaning.. when I got there they took me back looked at my teeth they told me I was cavity free took X-rays and gave me Info on wisdom teeth removal like I asked, they then told me that my appointment was not set for a cleaning and that my insurance did not cover cleaning (what insurance doesn't cover cleanings ?) my insurance does in fact cover 2 cleanings a year.. that was red flag one then I scheduled a wisdom teeth removal appointment, I was aware that I had to pay a portion however I was under the impression I was able to make a payment plan no one ever told me I had to pay the entire balance of half up front.. not at any point did anyone tell me that not when I scheduled the appointment not when they called me for the reminder not when I rescheduled not when they called for the reminder again they told me when I got to the appointment and then when I said I wasn't able to pay that upfront they told me I had to cancel and then had the nerve to charge me a 100$ cancellation fee.. I since have found a new dentist and you wouldn't believe I have 2 cavities (one in which I asked them about and the assured me was not a cavity) this place has been unprofessional with me at least and I'm very disappointed! read more

Warning: Do not go here. I paid for a root canal two years ago and it was not done correctly (I have a 5 year guarantee for my crown). I waited a month after I had it done to get it looked at and the Dr. Domingo said I was hormonal due to pregnancy. Then I kept on going back for the same #24 tooth because now, it stated getting a black shade. Now I am forced to buy another root canal with a crown for a second time. Dr. Domingo's lab did not properly make my crown. After the 6 time complaining about my tooth and the appearance I went to a sister location: Canyon Moden Dentistry in Surprise who is still owned by PACIFIC DENTAL SERVICES. I have tried to let Alameda Crossings take ownership and fix the problem but this organization is not accepting fault. The front office says Dr. Domingo is not there anymore so they cannot help me. To me, this is disturbing. I feel, in any business if you have someone who represents your organization such as a dentist, the whole business gets held accountable. I should've written this review back when we first started going to Alameda Crossing Dental Group and things were fresher in my mind...I'll try to get all the good stuff in! Firstly, we are both dental and orthodontia patients. My daughter and I both see Dr. Domingo (dentist) and my daughter also has braces and is under the care of Dr. VanLandschoot (orthodontist). Finding a good dentist here in AZ was tough, seeing as I grew up with a phenominal one in WA and no one seemed to even compare. I had a terrible experience when we first moved here and fearfully stopped going for checkups for several years after that. For that reason, when I finally buckled down and started "shopping around" again, I had a few more pressing issues than just needing a routine cleaning. I visited a couple dentists in the area, couldn't believe when one place printed out their list of "necessary" procedures and the breakdown of fees...total cost would be several thousands of dollars out-of-pocket, even after insurance coverage. (Hard to swallow, considering I'd always had excellent dental habits and never so much as even one cavity!) They refused to do a routine cleaning unless and until I agreed to the other procedures. When I visited Alameda Crossing for a comparison exam, I was beyond relieved to learn that nearly everything the other place tried to sell me on was completely unnecessary. Dr. Domingo explained that he only recommends what he believes, in good conscience, to be unequivocally needed. But he also discusses and presents options for all issues, even non-urgent ones. Based on our discussion and my level of comfort, I moved forward with treatment at Alameda Crossing Dental Group. Bottom line...my total out-of-pocket expense was a mere $120, compared to the $6K+ quoted to me by the other place. They were even able to fit in a filling that same day, which was super convenient. As far as dentistry goes, I've been very happy with the care we've received at Alameda Crossing. They always get us in and out quickly, and always take the time to thoroughly explain what they'll be doing. Everything, from the x-rays to hygienist cleanings to exams, flows very efficiently. Even the deep cleaning procedure I had at one point was relatively painless. I always find Ms. Hill, the hygienist, to be relaxed and personable...just like everyone else in the office, really. :) Dr. Domingo has a calming presence, straightforward yet easygoing and (appropriately) lighthearted. I believe that this company and its staff operate with the highest integrity. As for "Dr. Van" and the ortho care we've received, we are equally happy so far. Our decision to go with this group was primarily based on cost...theirs was the most affordable quote we received. I had some initial reservations about the fact that the group travels between offices throughout the week, and I wondered if it meant we'd be getting sub-par treatment. The only (slight) downside is that you're limited to certain days of the week for appointments, and those do fill up pretty far in advance...but no other complaints, whatsoever. It's a privately owned practice, NOT an impersonal and poorly run national chain or fly-by-night operation. They set us up with an interest-free payment plan and it includes everything, there aren't any tacked on fees for broken brackets or missed appointments, etc. In addition, the brand of brackets, wiring, elastics, etc. that they use are nicer looking than several alternatives I've seen out there...a noteworthy aspect when you're referring to teenage clientelle. I was pleased to see that all the metal brackets were glued on my daughter's teeth straight and evenly spaced. I can be weird about that stuff. :) All the ortho staff and assistants are great, super friendly and knowledgeable. (Special shout out to Bryce, who happens to be a personal friend, but is awesome by anyone's standards! :)) All things considered, we really couldn't be happier with our decision to do business here, and it sure feels good to have finally found a family dentist we're comfortable with...the convenience of ortho being offered at the same location is just icing on the cake! For getting you when it works for you they do a great job. Their prices are a little on the higher side but somewhat doable. I would definitely choose anyone else if it comes to having to use their oral surgeon. Got multiple extractions with infections and get ibuprofen and 5mg hydrocodone. Would be fine if I was a kid. That whole dental group uses the same surgeon. Any other dental procedures they are fine. Any oral surgeon needs go elsewhere. read more

I had been going here for a year. I decided to go again because its just convenient, really close to my house. What was I thinking? I called in to go for a cleaning, thats it, a cleaning. My appointment was at 4 pm. They passed me to the back at around 4:40. They took some x-rays and took me to the room, by then it was already 5 pm. I sat in the room and the dentist came to try to sell me all this bunch of procedures at around 5:30, yes 30 minutes just waiting. He left and said his assistance was going to call my insurance to get a quote on all the procedures. She finally came back at around 6:10 pm, yes almost another 30 minutes just waiting, and quoted me at around $600 for a stupid cleaning because she said I needed deep cleaning. Thats not including all the other procedures. I am sorry, but I have never paid for a cleaning. My insurance has always covered an annual cleaning. I never asked for any of this. I really doubt I need a $600 cleaning. At that point I said, I was just going to leave. I was so pissed and on top of that I had to pay my copay for nothing, thankfully its only $3. It had already been over 2 hours and they hadn't started on my cleaning. If I would have stayed and paid the $600 like a dumbass, I would have been there till at least 6:45. Thats 2:45 hours for a stupid cleaning, even worse, 2:10 minutes for nothing, waste of time. Thats just plain ridicilous. The first time I went in, it was the same story. Its my fault I should have learned my lesson. Do not go to this office, if you do, expect to be pushed to be sold like a salesperson at a car dealership. You can bet I am never going there again. To the office if you read this, remember, you are a dentist office, not a car dealership. Stop trying to sell people and make sure you book your appointments accordingly so patients don't have to go through what I experienced. read more

Highly recommend Dr. Khoury. She's very down-to-earth, caring, and effective at communicating. I feel like she really cares about the long-term future of my teeth and gums, not just what is going on during each visit. The office is very progressive with the newest dental technologies, but also conservative in their approach so as not to do too much that can't be undone--i.e. not just jumping into root canals right away if they can be avoided. Visits can take a little bit more time since they are usually pretty busy and helping several patients, but they are very good at getting appointments scheduled within a reasonable amount of time. read more

I've been going here for a few years now and I love this place! The staff is friendly from the time you walk in and leave. The assistants are all awesome from their conversations to their performance! The office is clean, they always want to give you the best experience, and work with you on payment plans if you need it. We all know dentistry isn't cheap, and I'm just glad they're not pushy like other places I've been to. They'll remind you about your dental needs but will work with me always! They also do same day crowns, which I never heard of before until going to this office! So if you hate waiting for your crown from the lab, they can do them that day! They also have modern digital X-rays which is cool to see your teeth right on the screen read more
