This review is solely for our grooming experience. Sad to write this review. We took our puppy (biewer yorkie) here for his first full groom. We were very excited bec they had appt soon and actually love this store and been coming here when i had my first puppy back in the 2010. We came in to our appt and chatted w the groomer. We specifically shared what we wanted - round face, shave belly, clean the paws BUT keep the coat long. They pointed out a couple matte but they said should be fine. They said they will let us know if they see more and/or if there's any problem. They also told us they will call within 1.5 hr for an update. We did receive the call within the 1.5 hr and they told us everything was going well, our puppy was very sweet but bec he's still a puppy they were very careful (which we appreciate) so they were just gonna take a break but he should be ready in 45 mins. We were so excited to see his new haircut and to pick him up When they walked him out and we saw his haircut, we were not very happy. They cut it soooo short that you can almost see his skin, poor baby. I did expressed that I think it was too short and the groomer said they used the longest blade they have which I don't understand. My partner saw the look on my face and we ended up leaving very heartbroken. When we got to our car, we took a close look and the haircut is very uneven. For example if you look at his ears the left side was cleaned while the right side you can still see some fur sticking out. His legs and his body is also so much unevenness. What really break my heart is some parts where shaved so short you can see his skin. And I can feel my puppy is not very happy with his haircut as his energy has changed since we got him groomed. Will definitely not going back here for grooming sadly read more

Unethical and frustrating experience. They require an upfront deposit, then refused service when we arrived due to missing one minor document that were not clearly communicated beforehand. We agreed to bring the document back, but they refused to apply the existing deposit and demanded additional payment. This is poor communication and unfair business practice. Very unfriendly and inflexible. I would not recommend this service--stay away. read more

I want to give a huge shout out to Raven. We were the first appointment on a Saturday Morning at 10 and she finished his bath and haircut in an hour and half. I have a really anxious dog so I asked Raven if she could not put him in a kennel after his appointment and to call me 15 mins before finishing for me to pick him up. She was extremely understanding and did exactly as I asked. In addition I brought my own shampoo since my dog has really bad skin allergies and she also used my shampoo instead of theirs. My dog has came back scared from other groomers- shaking and extremely anxious but Raven made him comfortable and did an amazing job! She gave him the outline we asked and he was completely dried! Thank you! We will definitely be coming back! Raven also gave us a huge bag of treats when we picked him up for free so that was extremely thoughtful. read more

I took my sweet golden retriever in to be groomed for the second time. The first time everything was great so I went back for the second time I told them to do the same as the first time however, when I went to pick him up, they charged me double the price? and they told me they did the best they can however, grooming was not acceptable. They told me we could never come back again and my dog was traumatized for two days. Instead of see spot run, it should be see customers run away from this establishment. read more

Dropped off my Morkie for a grooming, upon picking my dog up the groomer said she wanted to show me something she "noticed" about my dog. What she showed me was burst blood vessels in my dogs eyes . Owner tried to say this was "normal." My girlfriend called the owner who said it was a difficult grooming. That comment is at odds with the what the groomer "noticed." They offered to pay the vet bills. But still charged me full price for the grooming. Unreal. Won't go within a mile of this place ever again. read more

I have a chihuahua mix that hates being touched so I give major props to this groomer on doing a great, fast and deliberate job on the small dog bath bundle. They also provide treats and put on a cute little bow afterwards. Located in a great spot downtown park st alameda and the price is on point with local groomers. A raving review for Alameda See Spot Run! I saw their sign out front about nail trims, so I walked in for more info. They said it's $22-30 depending on the size of the dog and to call the day before or day of to see their availability. When we were able to came in for a nail trim, it was quick, easy, greatly priced and everyone was so friendly. Our normally fussy corgi did great and the tech was able to complete the job and even cut some of her paw fur to help with traction. And to top it off they gave her an adorable bow. We will be back and will check out their grooming services too. read more

warning If I could get this 0 stars I would! Do NOT bring your dog to be groomed here! I don't know what the hell is wrong with these people they are seriously crazy! traumatized my dog and shaved her eye (I have no clue why) and has razor burn and looks so sad red and painful and they cut her stomach open and had to glue it! she's in pain crying when we got home and traumatized from this groomer! Had to take her to the hospital! Horrible experience and I still had to pay for my dog to get tortured! now I can never trust a groomer again after what they put her through! And I'm sure she'll never let anyone groom her including myself! Very upset! read more

This review is for Cynthia, the groomer. :) This was our second time bringing our dog Tsiko for grooming with her and she did such an AMAZING job! The first time was the day after Thanksgiving of last year when I was super thrilled they can accomodate us unlike our previous groomer which couldn't accomodate us until 7 months from then. The first haircut wasn't as clean as we hoped but we totally understood since it was late and she did not have enough time for touch up. My dog was also SUPER tired that day since I brought him to work so he was pooped and couldn't really stand up and kept plopping down (LOL)which made it hard for Cynthia to groom him efficiently. Overall, it was a good hair cut and she even asked us to come back the next day if we wanted to so she can clean him up a bit at no charge since she was pressed for time. We did not come back but we were super grateful she offered! We love how she interacted with Tsiko and we noticed how happy he was when we picked him up. He's SO comfortable around her and even gave her lots of kisses before we left which warmed my heart and made us come back! We will definitely come back for more grooming with Cynthia! Just took our Pomeranian here for full grooming services with Trish and she did an EXCELLENT job. She is always consistent and Peanut feels comfortable with the staff here. We came in just to browse and the staff asked about our dogs and made recommendations based on age, size and breed. They even gave us samples for our dogs ages/sizes! Selection: Wow! They have all the top brands for "clean" pet diets. Akana (our fave), Orijen, etc. plus a wide variety of leashes, collars and toys and a raw bar. They also have a "frequent buyer card" brand specific ie buy 12 bags get one free Pets: They obviously love pets here! Great shop! This review is for Kelly, a groomer at the store. I've had my pup groomed by a handful of other groomers here from Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland, now to Alameda whose rates are somewhat ridiculous for my 10 lb. dog only to be very disappointed with the horrible quality of the haircut and care my dog received (uneven hair, jagged electric razor marks all over his body, rough ear cleaning resulting in ear infections, random uneven hair length). Kelly did a wonderful job! My pup looks great! All even and nice and tidy. No wounds! And reasonable prices for the service. Thank you Kelly! On a side note, I had an appointment scheduled for over 1 month. The day came around and my dog ended up at the vet that day after consuming something toxic. I let Kelly know we couldn't make it and how bummed I was to miss the appointment. She was very understanding. She reached out to me the following day and offered to see my pup during her lunch break the following week. I have found this kind of compassion and service wildly lacking in the Bay Area. So thank you EXTRA Kelly! The store also has a wide variety of pet supplies. I'd shop there for all my pets needs in a minute. read more

If you look at every bad review they are all about the horrible customer service and the groomer, and so is mine. My mother took her dog to get groomed unfortunately she was 10 minutes late and they canceled her appointment (understandable) but they also canceled the appointment for the next day for her other dog as well.....did not tell her discretely either, the groomer yelled across the store at her in front of 5 other customers that she's not allowed to bring her dogs back. Which was so embarrassing and humiliating for her it made her cry. Because of 10 minutes, unfortunately the customer is never right at this store. A phone call to ask about this didn't help either I said she was only 10 minutes late and I was corrected that she was 11 minutes late....ok lady. I was RUDLY spoken to and was hung up on.
