I feel lucky to have found Nick and Kara at Nails and Tails grooming. I have a rescue doodle puppy and his hair is so pretty, but getting quite long, and I wanted to find a better way to keep it out of his eyes. If you have a pup who hates nail trims, LOOK NO FURTHER. Honestly, as a busy dog mom, this has been a serious weight off my shoulders. Belly is my 2-year old staffy rescue, and she absolutely despises getting her nails trimmed. We've taken her to Petco, PetSmart, a private groomer and even our own family vet, and NO ONE has been able to successfully cut her nails. She fights people off (the vet had 3 grown men on her) and uses her 65 lb. sausage body to wriggle out of everyone's grip. She also has dark nails, making it almost impossible to see her quick as she's pulling her paws away. I found Nicholas on Yelp, texted him out of desperation & told him about Belly's situation. He responded quickly and was able to see us within 2 days. Within 10 minutes, Belly was done, ALL her nails trimmed, and we've officially found our consistent groomer. I was SHOCKED. The booking process was quick and I love when I can schedule things via email. Rebecca (I'm pretty sure that was her name ) showed up and groomed our long haired cat. She was professional and did a great job. She setup in my bathroom and offered to either have me stay or she could do it without me in the room. I opted to stay and it was nice to be involved and help keep my cat at ease. I've only had my cat groomed one other place, and we had to bring her there. I loved being able to have Holden be in her own environment, I could tell it was much less stressful for her. Rebecca did a great job of being gentle and giving off calm vibes. Love this place. They have been grooming my dog for the last 6ish months and each time he comes out looking fabulous! They always give him exactly the cut I ask for. Nick and Kara are super great at communication via email (which is a big plus!) and it is one of the fastest groomers I have ever been to. I reached to Nick and Kara when we brought our new puppy home. I had heard horror stories about how hard it was to get in to see a groomer and how I would be waiting for months - Not So! Nick was able to get me in within a week and then when I needed to reschedule he was nice enough to fit me in the following week. Nails & Tails brought all the necessary tools to give Lucy a bath & a haircut. What's great is that they worked with whatever space you had and in our case they used our bathroom. I came upon the reviews for Nails and Tails, and decided to give them a try. My cat Christabelle, was in DIRE need of a haircut, as well as needed an ingrown nail treated. Kara and Nick were right on time. Christabelle is usually horrible when it comes to grooming and I have received more than my share of stripes in my lame attempts to keep her long coat brushed and thinned out. However, Nick and Kara handled her extremely well and she was actually very good during her lion cut and nail trim (though she is punishing me now). They also trimmed my 13 year old Snowshoe's nails and did it without a battle (also highly unusual). The cost was more than reasonable, especially for an in-home visit and much less stressful for the cats. I will definitely use Nick and Kara again! I highly recommend them. read more
