What a great space to get kids energy out! Met up with some of my TLG mamas and their kiddos to…read morehave a little playdate here and I honestly didn't know what to expect, so we went with doing the day pass ($18 per person ages 1+) yes it's pricey, but I also can see how much these kids can do! You can probably guess that we upgraded to the family of 4 year pass ($180, but used our day pass cost to include into that membership). Thinking ahead here, when it will get stupid hot later in the summer time, great way to take the kids to burn their energy and not get stir house crazy being inside all day - great way to break up the day from all the screaming and jumping around. The exhibits: wow, SO much variety! It's basically 2 stories, downstairs is the main floor area, and options! When you first enter, there's giant toy puzzles shaped as gears, then another room that takes you to a full on pretend city arena where there's little tykes cars for these kids to drive around in this pretend city, a HEB store front, airplane simulation, trolley, car wash, vet office, etc. so fun for these kids! Then another room where there's instruments like a giant piano and other fun things for kids to explore. Outside, there are 2 areas, one is a bubble play area to explore ways to play with bubbles in SO many different ways. Another outside area, playground with a giant slide, water play area with boats and things that you can imagine with water. For over stimulated kiddos, there's a room downstairs that's called a "calming room" where it's much quieter than out in the open if you need time to decompress from the chaos. Upstairs, there's a pretend to play with tools and right next to it and where you can assemble flowers. Now food wise, there's a Café Bakery Lorraine downstairs which include their macaroons, sandwiches, snack platter, crossiants, etc. It's a little pricey, but at least it's good! You are allowed to bring snacks, water inside, but not outside food like actual meals. Parking: it's free and first come first served out in the front area. Overall, we'll be back since we're now members! Excited to keep taking the kids here as there is so much to do here!

This is a pretty cool place! My daughter loved it and I loved that Bakery Lorraine is on-site…read more I'd give it one more star, except things were missing- like no stuffed animals in the vet, things were broken, and the outside area we had to avoid because the mosquitoes were insane!!

I was initially certified in HI, but I never felt very confident in the water, nor did I have a trusted dive buddy. From the minute I spoke to David on the phone, I knew immediately he was not trying to "sell me" on anything, but rather, he was imparting his passion for being out in the water and sharing his knowledge and years of diving experience. When I explained my hesitation and my previous experience with a shady dive shop, he quickly validated my concerns and assured me that safety is their top priority. He quickly put me at ease, and I realized that I needed to get back in the water! He and Loyda took me under their wing and helped me conquer my anxieties with the utmost patience, while ensuring that I had the confidence and skills that I needed to continue to progress. No dive buddy? No problem. David and Loyda are more than incredible instructors and shop owners, they also make themselves available as dive buddies -especially for those of us with (self admitted) high anxiety‍ But freshen up on your dance moves, because the "Shack Boogie" is a required and sought after skill for certification SA Scuba Shack is committed to customer service as well as customer satisfaction. They host different social events and monthly mixers to further encourage divers from all over the city to get to know each other, which for me, helps to build that circle of trust when you are looking to find a good dive buddy. They are also super flexible and they were able to work in an open water certification for my newest dive buddy, just days before we travelled to Greece where we got married and spent our first couple of hours under water together! Now THAT is some serious dedication and love for your customers The Shack also plans various dive excursions both locally, and some that require a passport for those feeling even more adventurous. At any given time, you just say the word, and you can even grab an extra certification during any of the trips that you book through the shop. I am excited to say that my husband and I have planned our first international trip with SA Scuba Shack, where we will be finalizing our requirements with David, and we will be coming home from Cozumel as master divers! Just another huge testament to their commitment to their customers Whether you are just checking something off your bucket list, or you are looking for a new adventurous hobby, I highly recommend SA Scuba Shack! I have had the pleasure of watching them grow over the last several years, and each and every person on staff is committed to the same excellent service, as David and Loyda. You will not be disappointed!
