Dear Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, The food at this theater is consistently excellent. However, it can be quite expensive, though the experience is greatly enhanced by the company you keep. The IPA is also exceptional. I recall my last visit when I watched Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Additionally, Captain Marvel had some humorous moments, particularly when the characters began singing. I remember whispering to my girlfriend, questioning whether I was high or if they were indeed singing in a marvel movie. read more

I have a membership to Alamo Drafthouse and it has been wonderful to get to come here almost every week. I think the cost is very fair, and we love that there is food involved. Their baked pretzel is a chefs kiss to a great family outing. While they don't have movies long, they do have a great selection and we especially like time capsule nights where we get to see old movies that we love. I especially love "the Big Show" theater because the sound is unmatched. It does take a little longer to get food in there, but it's worth it. read more

Definitely an elevated movie going experience. This is the 2nd Alamo Drafthouse I've visited and I love the consistency. The Good: Food is not overpriced and the pizza is above average. Appreciate the nonalcoholic beer and mocktail options. Love the Time Capsule screenings and movie parties. The less good: Service has been spotty during previous visits. The specialty screenings (like the aforementioned Time Capsules) often have very odd or limited times. So many classics I'd like to check out on the big screen but when they only have 1-2 showings and are not at every location, it's hard to make the schedule work. I haven't been to see a first run release yet and given the locations are far from me, I don't know that I'd make a special trip when my local multiplex is closer. Hopefully they will give greater priority to niche films and revivals in the future. read more

I went with my kiddo, and my two friends to go see Jurassic World. During the previews, the server knocked over a full soda all over my kid. We went up to the front to see about cleaning up and were told all they could give us were a couple of paper towels and that they had nothing else to help us. I asked if they could refund our order and our tickets since we would not be able to stay and watch the movie as the kiddo was completely drenched. They refunded our food order but not our tickets. They only gave us rain check tickets to come back and see another show. The manager tried to make light of the situation stating that she had dropped wine on a customer before and that "these things happen." we had to go across the street to JCPenney's to purchase clothes so that we could go home since the kid was completely soaked. I contacted them via their survey and via their website and have yet to hear back on how they intend to make this situation right. Outside the massive popularity of the place, making is PACKED beyond belief, the place was actually pretty crazy experience. Of course, it did help that the crew and I went to see Ghostbusters 4, of course (sorry ladies, 2016 doesn't count). But the whole theatre was packed for the night. This location was perfect on my visit , went to see a Cosplay sneak preview of John Wick 4. Purchases tickets online but I was told you can walk up day of and buy tickets to shows as well. Paid Parking for the theater is on the street and in surrounding lots. Very clean theater. They have a bar that I couldn't experience because I barely made it for my event . Seats recline, there's tables to eat your ordered food from (it's the same at all ADC theaters) side note-not all theater locations have recliners. Had a group of 6 and I was able to put the tab on one bill. The old fashioned was great , I love the cookies and popcorn. Very kind food runners , everything was brought correctly and in a timely manner. I'll be back but I'd like to try out the other ADC's around Denver as well. read more

My second experience at an Alamo Drafthouse Cinema was even better than the first. Went to see Spiderman: No Way Home in the "Big Show" theater and it was incredible. This theater is huge and the screen and sound are unlike anything I have ever experienced. The recliners and personal tables are an added bonus. The service is unmatched to any other movie theater I have been in. The system is seamless and everything seems to work flawlessly. I first went to the Alamo in Sloan's Lake, but this place is so much better. They have a small gift shop near the entrance and there's some pretty cool takeaways. It's also bigger and not as dark and ominous as the Sloan's Lake location. Then there's Pandora's Box where you can dine before or after your show. I have no complaints when I come to the Alamo and I can't wait to check out the Littleton location. read more

This was my first time attending an Alamo Drafthouse. I've always wanted to go but never had an opportunity. Until today. As we entered, we were greeted and we told them this was our first time at an Alamo theatre. They perked up excitedly and told us that our menus would be at our seats and someone would come get our food order. The seats are wide with a tray table that extends outward. The seats are leather, soft and recline at a good angle. The little tray has a tiny light underneath so you can read the menu and write down your food choices without busting out your prohibited cell phone. The movie screen was bright, the sound was clear. Our waiter came and got our orders and we received our food quickly. The food is really good. It's a bit pricey. Think restaurant quality concessions. It's not gonna be cheap. He came and checked on us very discreetly in the middle of the movie. I got my drink refilled. It was an excellent experience. I will try to attend more locations. read more

Terrific place to go for movies! We have been here a few times now. The decorations in the hall and in the lobby really set the mood. It's a neat experience to sit down for a movie and be served popcorn and all the other goodies they have available. The servers are very attentive, and always make an effort to disturb the audience as little as possible during the movie. The food is great! We have had several different things to eat now, and the large menu really makes the experience extra fun. The seats are comfortable and we've never had a problem with a movie. This is our family's favorite movie theater. My husband and I have the movie pass for two and go as frequently as possible. We love the movie parties and the vintage movies they show monthly. The food is always great and the drinks are well made. My *only* complaint is that they removed the Hatch chile gravy that came with the chicken tenders. That stuff was awesome. It was very disappointing to hear that when we went to see Thunderbolts. I may have to find a new menu favorite but we will keep going. I hope they bring back the gravy, it was the best. read more

I went for the first time to Alamo Drafthouse Cinema recently and loved it. There is a restaurant onsite (30 beers on tap!) where you can wait for your movie if you are early. I'd been told the popcorn is amazing and indeed it is totally addictive (we added herb parmesan on ours, so good!). The buffalo cauliflower was also yummy and overall they offer a nice selection of food and drinks. The seats are comfortable and I really like that there's enough room in front of you so that you can easily leave without bothering anybody. My only complaint is the price, each ticket was $15 (we went in the evening), and when you add food and drink, it becomes a little pricey. I wish the tickets were more reasonably priced, so that I don't feel guilty spending $10 on the popcorn. Service was very friendly and we got our food relatively fast, although one of my friends had to wait for her drink a very long time (I would recommend getting it a the bar and bringing it with you to avoid waiting for it). DO NOT come here. This place ruined our Easter Sunday and management has a nerve. My family of apx 20 decided we would spend our Easter Sunday watching the new Mario movie. We have kids so we chose the "kid friendly" show time. Mind you we purchased the whole top row. And the theater was filled with tons of other kids. The waitress decided to come and warn us that if our kid made noise again we would get asked to leave. I kindly asked did I purchase the wrong time ? I thought it was a kid friendly show time. The server said no it's a Sunday and it's 6. I pulled out my phone to double check because maybe I was wrong. Showed her my screen shot and she left. Apx 3 mins later the manager comes storming in, interrupted the movie again and said it's not a kid friendly event and we can talk about this now or after the movie is over. I ignored her and would seek clarification after. I was right. It was a kid friendly screening and I'll attach picture proof. She was unprofessional with my husband and later proceeded to admit it was a kid friendly event. Not an apology was given rather more altercations as she continued to interrupt. I narrowed it down though. Not one single person of color was working there when we were there. All of the other children were never told anything and I was not able to watch in peace. If "colors" aren't welcomed, just say that. No need to be racist in a conspicuous way especially with children. I'd love for corporate to read this and contact me because those workers require training on your show times and their policies and maybe some inclusion seminars as well. Way to ruin Eater read more

During our movie we misplaced a cardigan that was picked up by an employee. When we later attempted to retrieve it, we were told it was nowhere to be found. Basically it was stollen. Very disheartening to find dishonesty over something so simple. Lights under the tables at each seat DO NOT turn off and are a big detractor from the experience. Will not be returning. If you're a movie buff or just want to see a movie and love good food, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is the perfect spot for you. I'm a regular here - I have the Alamo season pass and I go to a movie at least once a week, sometimes twice a week. It's safe to say that sometimes I feel like I live here. The food at Alamo is disturbingly good for being a movie theater. I often come here to eat and catch a random movie, just because the food is that good. The vegan cookies are my absolute favorite - I get them every time I come. The loaded fries are also super tasty and have become a regular order for me and my girlfriend to split. The burgers are good, the vegan pizza is good, and the popcorn is decadent. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The only thing missing for me is a vegan booze-filled shake. I've been dying to try one, but unfortunately I'm lactose intolerant. Alamo, if you're reading this, please add a vegan option! Overall, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is a must-visit for any movie lover in the area. The food is amazing, the service is great, and the atmosphere is perfect for a night out. The food was okay. The omnivore pizza I ordered was mushy, then the waiter brought me a very stale glass of savignon blanc (it might have even been a pinot grigio). So different than the other Alamo Drafthouse locations in Denver. I dig it. Each seat in theater 2 had their own table, which was nice for our party of 3. Nice reclinable chairs. Lots more room in the aisles. They also took our credit card when ordering which got rid of the credit card shuffle during the movie. Friendly staff and good service. Construction was going on all around the theatre so getting in and out was a little awkward. But I'm happy this location is closest to me. It's really nice! Edited to add a funny story I forgot: We sat in the last row of theatre 2 and I was a little worried because the bass for the Downton Abbey preview was insane. Our chairs were shaking! But the rest of the previews and the movie were fine. If you decide to go to a movie that will probably have a lot of bass, consider a different row than the last one. I have been here four times now, and have been very pleased with every aspect. The theater looks great. The staff training seemed to go very well, and service has been very good. The picture and sound quality of the films has been excellent. And, the food (while typically good at Alamo) has really been better than I expected. The chicken strips were hot, fresh, and flavorful. The beer-bacoa queso is unique to this location, and quite tasty. The beer menu is extensive, but a couple of my "go-to" beers from Sloan's Lake are not served here. I really do enjoy so many aspects of Alamo Drafthouse. But, as I've said before, what keeps me coming here is the "no talking, no texting" policy. Other theaters may ask people politely not to do these things, and then do nothing to enforce it. Alamo actually follows through on their completely justified threats. If you talk, if you text, if you disrupt others from enjoying the film, they will "kick your ass out!". No refunds, no second chances. And, at the end of the day, it is refreshingly uncommon to be able to actually enjoy a movie and know that others will not be able to ruin it. read more

Since my move to Brighton I haven't been coming to the alamo but that's about to CHANGE ! Came to watch Spider-Man & The flash with my husband (first time for him) and I truly forgot how great everything here is . The pizza is still very much good , the pretzel and cheese fries super yummy . I do have to say the food is on the expensive side but it is what it is . The sitting is comfy , the people who work there have been wonderful . Only gray side is the bathroom it can use some work but other then that everything is great read more

Discounted movie Tuesdays are awesome!! If you're interested in popcorn with real butter, reclining chairs, and food and drinks delivered to your seat then Alamo is a must. Compared to other theaters that serve food in the lobby, I have found Alamo's food and drinks to be the best theater food I've had. if you're not already, you might want to sit down. because this is gonna be a bumpy ride. i've held my tongue with most of my discrepancies with the alamo but this was just genuinely too unbelievably dumb that i can't not tell you. my partner and i went to our seats and usually someone would come and check our tickets and seats, that didn't happen but hey im not complaining, we're both capable adults and found our seats fine. shortly after the trailers started to roll we wrote our order down. now if you weren't aware or have forgotten the ordering system at the alamo is supposedly simple. you take a white card, write down what you want and then place it upright in the holder at the end of your tray table. that is exactly what we did. the movie started and everyone around us started to get their drinks and food. no one has come to take our order or even acknowledge us. we had only intended to order two waters and two crisp dr peppers. no food. no food you ask? yes. every time without fail within the past two years i or someone i'm with has gotten sick from eating the food served here. burgers, mozzarella sticks, sandwiches, really anything. the reason my partner and i come here (despite our better judgment) is because unfortunately the ambience and environment is very enjoyable to watch movies in. we thought we'd give it one more go. we had two servers assigned to our theater. i'm usually the type of person to give you the benefit of the doubt. maybe they didn't see us. ignoring the fact that we were nearly 30 minutes into the movie. we were in the back row, to our right was no one, but only one seat over to our left was another couple of movie goers. the people next to us got their meal, and their drinks as well as refills of their drinks. both servers passed by us at least a dozen times. avoiding eye contact, they would breeze past us. okay so maybe they really didn't see us? i decided to quickly perform an experiment. i put up the card in the empty seat next to me, my own card and then my partners card. if you're still with me that's three white order cards. there is absolutely no way they could miss these, especially when they keep returning to the couple next to us. literally one. seat. over. so if you guessed that we still didn't get served, you'd be right! with this i concluded that there was no way they weren't doing this on purpose. i was irritated but willing to let it go. maybe they're both having a hard day, maybe they both have a bad case of cantseeshititis. what made me feel so inclined to write this in depth review is because when we reached the part of the movie where its last call, the servers start making their way around. it was this moment that they FINALLY acknowledged our existence and he had the gall to ask me if there was anything else he could get us. are you kidding me? it took everything in me not to tell him my opinions on his "customer service" right then and there. he leaves and to add salt in the damn wound he comes around with everyone's bill and HE SETS ONE ON OUR TABLE. realizing he made a mistake (because if you remember we didn't order anything) he leaves. i guess critical thinking skills aren't a requirement for this job. if they don't want my money fine. i'll go somewhere else. clearly the universe is trying to tell me to not go here. another bad alamo experience in the books. i should really start a scrapbook. the cinebarre would never. tldr: was purposely ignored the entire film by the wait staff with other customers literally one seat next to us. and to the alamo manager (and staff) that i know is reading this. don't bother reaching out wanting to send me a coupon or voucher. save it for the next person who's day you inevitably ruin in some way or another. i will not be spending anymore time or money at your establishment. i know it's really no matter to you at all because i am simply a single disgruntled customer. i just wanted to give people a warning before they decide to see a movie here. come to the alamo! where you roll the dice every time you go. will i get sick? will i be ignored? who knows! read more

Don't go to this place, specially if you bought tickets last minute. I went there today, showed up 10 minutes after the movie started. I bought my tickets online last minute as it was the closes time to watch movie I wanted to watch. Took my granddaughter to see "Nope". The service was outstanding! The cost of the movie on Saturday afternoon was only $10. That's their price! Wow! We ordered pizza and popcorn. I loved the pizza spices and toppings plus it was nice and crispy. Popcorn is half the price of other big name theaters and they use real butter. They also have a full-service bar and outside seating which was wonderful because at 6 pm, it was nicer outside and a nice breeze was flowing. I can't wait until we can go there again. read more

Luxury movie experience with recliners and an elaborate drinks/food menu. There's a cozy, pub style atmosphere bar in the lobby which is a fun way to hangout before your movie. Once you're in the theater, you have access to a server, a full menu, and a full drink list. We ordered the Royale With Cheese and the Fried Chicken Sandwich & Asian Slaw. I can't believe this food is being served at a movie theater, it's really tasty!! The burger was fantastic and so was the chicken sandwich. The French Fries that came with both sandwiches at no extra charge were crispy, fresh and hot! So good! I ordered a sour beer to go along with my meal and it was so nice to sip during the movie. We had a wonderful experience at this location. The service was friendly and fast. The picture and sound quality of the movie was top-notch. I will be seeing every movie from now on here at The Alamo. Great place! read more

Let me just start by saying we have supported this business not only in Colorado but in Texas as well. We actually like the food but today was the worst experience. We bought tickets weeks in advance of the showing. We arrived 2 minutes passed the 15 minute late window and was told they are no longer seating. The service was absolutely terrible. No customer service just an offer to refund our tickets and an explanation of the firm no late policy. I guess when you are so busy and are killing it you don't care about customer service. I guess when we come on nights when you're empty and we are supporting your business means nothing. read more

Wow! talk about a BIG bummer. I am 70 and my husband is 76, and we have not been to a movie theatre of any kind in 15- 20 years. My son in law invited us to go with the grand kids to a movie and dinner there, and not knowing anything about it we accepted. We got there 20 minutes early, ordered our food and before it came the lights turned out. There is a tiny light but not enough to really see the food. Tried to eat in the dark but had to shine my phone on it a few times to be able to eat. My husband ate half his fish and chips and realized it was half raw so sent it back. I ordered a Jamison, and they brought a glass half full of something which my husband tasted. Said it wasn't Jamison. I tasted it too and realized it was sweet like Baileys or something, so I told them it was the wrong drink. Seemed like a half empty drink too, Was it someone's half drunken cocktail? Eww! They brought a new one but didn't bring my husband's drink until almost the end of the movie after 2 reminders. Then they brought the bill, which we couldn't really see in the very dim light, so I shined my phone on it. A guy came up and almost yelled at me to turn off my phone, said we couldn't use a light. I tried to turn it off, and he kept yelling at me over and over, I was flustered trying to turn it off, said, I am trying to turn it off. He said turn it off, turn it off, you need to leave. I said Shhh! I am trying to turn it off. Then he said I am calling security. You need to leave! My daughter said, are you kidding? We paid a lot for these tickets, why should we leave? Long story short, He brought security, and we all had to leave, even after explaining what happened. He tried to say we were rude to the servers, that people were complaining about us, and that there was nothing wrong with the fish. WOW! For the record we didn't do anything to bother anyone around us, you couldn't hear anything that anyone said in that place. The movie sound is quite loud, and we could not even hear much of what the servers said, much less our neighbors! I don't think you can say we were rude just because we had to communicate to the servers that there was a problem with our order. Such a bad experience. As for the movie, well, we were enjoying it, but didn't get to see the last 20 minutes of it. The kids were all upset, and frankly I couldn't believe how poorly we were being treated after spending $150 dollars on food and drinks, and the cost of 6 movie tickets. There is a reason that many movie houses have all gone bust in the last 20 years. Don't think we will try that again! read more

First, the positives: the food is good (if a little over-priced, but what else do you expect at such a venue?), and the movie-watching experience itself is the best I've had in a long time. Instead of annoying, useless ads as a lead-up to the trailers, they have funny videos playing. That's cool. The movies they play are out of the ordinary, more than just the typical big-budget stuff you see at AMC. I took my son to see an obscure foreign film, and it was great to see. OTOH, this is like going to a theater run by The Soup Nazi. The first sign of trouble was the website passive-aggressively lecturing me about being on time TO A MOVIE I JUST BOUGHT TICKETS FOR. Basically, it was a warning saying that you can't go in to the theater if you're late. The actual wording is "We would love to see you thirty minutes ahead of showtime." WTF? I understand them not wanting to interrupt the show for others, but if you pay $10 and they lock you out, they're ripping you off. And nobody needs to tell me to be on time. I'm the most punctual guy on the planet. I'm also a friggin' adult. I know what a schedule is. I've even been to movie theaters before. I don't need to be told to be on time. They certainly don't need to say "We'd love to see you" or "it would be great if..." Just post a rule and say "Please take your seat ahead of showtime." Or "No admittance after showtime." Even "We recommend..." would be better than "Gosh, I guess you'd better show up ahead of time OR ELSE..." Jeez. So then we get to the theater, and the decor is really nice, and the people in the lobby are nice. I go to the bathroom (where there are signs telling you how to throw away the paper towels), then get to my seat where I am immediately confronted by the waitress. Honestly, I didn't even know it was that kind of theater, I just wanted to take my son to see the movie he wanted to see, so I didn't even know there was a menu. The waitress asks to see my tickets, and I show her my phone. She says we're in the wrong seats, but it's okay, and then explains the complicated seat numbering system. Every other theater since Aristophanes puts the row number (or letter) on the end of the row, and then the seats are numbered. This theater has a four digit code attached to each seat that is apparently very useful to the waitstaff but must be deciphered by the people who buy the tickets to sit in the seats. So she says we're in the wrong seats, but it's okay, but we're in the wrong seats. So, should we move? I ask her, to which she says we're in the wrong seats but there's just one other couple in the theater, so it's okay, but we're in the wrong seats. Should we move? NO, she says, it's okay. Then she explains the procedure for ordering the food, and it's about all I can take, so I ask her politely if she can come back in a few minutes so I can look at the menu. "I literally just sat down. I'm not even all the way into the seat. I've never been here before," I say, to which she replies "Well, that's the way we do things here. I'm just doing my job." As soon as she leaves, the procedure is repeated on the screen in a manner that mimics the waitress's super-sweet demeanor. I'm starting to feel like I'm in a Candy Land POW camp. My son and I decided to relocate to the seats we paid for because it had a better sightline anyway. And we would have done that before if the waitress hadn't been too busy asserting her authority and arguing with me. Once we ordered, the food arrived quickly and without any unnecessary conversation. I didn't want to use the bathroom however, because the movie was good and I was honestly afraid they wouldn't let me back into the auditorium. I don't know who the people are who want to be treated like children in a kindergarten classroom. I'm an adult and I expect to be treated like one. I keep hearing about how the younger generations are crying out for authoritarianism and this is honestly what it felt like at this theater. I left the waitress a 15% tip hoping she would learn not to lecture the customers, but honestly it feels like this is a company-wide culture thing (I'm assuming this one very young waitress didn't write the copy a national theater chain's website). I mean really: AMC has the same rules, Regal Cinebarre has the same procedures, but you just go in and figure it out. They don't threaten to throw you out or lock you out of the movie you paid for.
