I thought I would never recover my files b/c I couldn't get my laptop to start up after multiple attempts. I went Best Buy geek squad first, and they quoted me a ridiculous amount of money just for a diagnostic and then another ridiculous amount for data recovery. And they said data recovery wasn't even a guarantee, but I would still have to pay for the diagnostic. It was a rip off, considering I could just buy a brand new laptop with the amt of money they were charging me...and all I wanted was my lost data.
