I was so nervous going to this appointment. I didn't sleep the entire night before. The moment I walked through the door I was greeted warmly. Still nervous, I was taken in to sit and talk with the Patient Care Coordinator, Colleen. I was still a tiny bit nervous but that all changed when Dr. Persky came in to meet me and discuss my concerns. He was so kind, listened to what I wanted and why. Never pushed me into something else. He really listened and made me so comfortable. As I walked to another room to begin my chosen treatment, Juvederm Volux XC, I'm not going to lie, I was still a wee bit nervous being this was the first time I've ever done something like this. i am 79 years old. I take good care of myself and for my age I am healthy and strong. Fortunately for me, someone highly recommended Dr. Persky several years ago, and I put my facial skin care into his hands. I recently had a fraxel laser treatment by Dr. Persky to treat sun damaged skin and dark spots on my forehead and the results were great. Dr. Persky performed the treatments himself unlike some other places where the treatment is done by technicians. EMSCUPLT - After having a baby I found it not so easy to get rid of that baby pouch. I attended exercise classes and was constantly on the move with my my little one, but my "pop' didn't want to go. I booked a course of Emsculpt on my stomach and booty and saw immediate results. The pictures are of me before and after the treatment. Almost 3 years after giving birth I am really pleased with my tone. I have continued to go to Dr Persky office for treatments to my face, and have the occasional Emsculpt maintenance. FRAXEL LASER - Being in my 40's I wanted something else to help the crows feet on my eyes. I wanted to help smooth out the really fine lines on my lower eye lids and under my eyes. Dr Persky discussed options and I decided on fraxel laser. The longest part of the treatment was being numbed up. The laser working on my eyes was over pretty quickly. The results once healed is my skin feeling soft and a whole lot smoother. I still have some lines when I smile, but many of the small really fine lines are really smoothed out and I can't see them anymore. I am genuinely happy with the results. With all of Covid restrictions their office is still open. They updated me with the many additional protocols they have put in place to protect patients. I feel safe attending there in person. I've seen Dr. Persky's work and he is very talented. You either have it or you don't. This town is full of hacks. I wish I was rating doctors on their aesthetic work, but unfortunately, I am rating them on their integrity, after what happened to me. No one thinks they can die from a procedure, I didn't. So, my reviews are hard core, but super valuable to readers, bc NO ene expects to be harmed, or put in critical condition from something that's supposed to be fun. I am ALL about health and beauty and took impeccable care of myself. I have a gorgeous, on point, aesthetic eye. I was actually going to work for a plastic surgeon, bc it comes so easily to me. Even after my severe injury, people still ask me for beauty advice. I was 40 and looked 25. I know of all of the drs in town, who is a hack, whose work is great. It was kind of a hobby of mine, even though all I did was fillers. If there is a life threatening complication in Dr. Persky's office, he would not run. Trust me, that's saying a LOT in Los Angeles. He has a nice disposition and is very professional. His B/A looked great. His consult is not expensive. I would trust him with my life, and face. Put it that way He saw me in the beginning of my death reaction. He never saw this response..I can't say name of the devices but there are dozens if not more, and it's not even relevant at this point. What I resent is it was marketed as, "Natural, at the time. I'm a research FANATIC, so no one can get over I would do this, which led me to a spa I would not be caught dead in. Very, very unlike me. All of it. I trusted the marketing, so was lied to and led to slaughter by going to a spa that I would not get a pedicure in. The man at the spa, left me begging for my life. One Dr said that he turns down 85 percent of people asking for procedures they aren't candidates for, who get swept up in marketing. That's called intelligence and integrity. The spa I went to should have laughed at me, bc I'm tiny. You could tell by looking at me, this would not go well, but no one expected this reaction. Now what do I do? So there it is. Unexpected things happen. Where is your doctor? And what will he/ she do? These are important factors to consider. I came in for a Emsella consultation. I had a very pleasant experience. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I suffer from severe urinary incontinence. Dr. Persky was extremely kind and compassionate of my situation. He assured me that the Emsella treatment would be life changing. I was hopeful but a bit doubtful. I received Voluma from Dr. Persky just before the Lockdown. If I can't say anything nice, I generally prefer not to write a review... but since I rely very heavily on Yelp reviews when choosing where to go, I decided to take the plunge. I sought out Dr.Persky for some Juvederm Filler because of his good reviews. I had lost weight which took a toll on my face. I had two areas of concern; my hollow temples and a fatty area under my eye. Dr.Persky and his staff tried to up-sell me on Sculptra (It is expensive, irreversible, and I have not liked what it has done to the faces I have seen it in, so I refused that product). Dr. Persky declined to do my temples unless I agreed to Sculptra. I told him I was on a budget ($1,200.00) and asked him to give me the most bang for my buck to give my face a little help. He insisted on using Voluma (more expensive than Juvederm) for my cheeks. I was horrified when I got home. He had injected high and lateral, making my face look even more gaunt. There were obvious lumps, like little horns on the side of my face. I called to voice my concerns and Dr. Persky told me to come in first thing the next morning. The next morning, Dr. Persky shamed me for being on a budget and blamed my financial restrictions on the less than perfect aesthetic. In his quiet, gentle voice, he snapped at me for touching my face when I was showing him the lumps I wasn't happy with. He showed me my before and after photos. The horn on the side of my face masked the fatty bit under the eye on the profile shot, but on the front of the face, my before photo was decidedly more flattering. He said the only way he could fix my gaunt appearance was to inject Sculptra. When I said that I would prefer Juvederm as I had enjoyed good results with that in the past, he told me I was welcome to go elsewhere because he wouldn't use it. Finally, as I left, he said I should wait 2-3 weeks for the swelling to go down. The photos I am including were taken after 3 weeks. $1,375.00 to look worse than I did before the treatment. read more

Over the last 4 years or so I've seen Dr Persky three times for injections. He was my first experience and I should've just stuck with that, but I got curious. I found him on real self. I was in total research mode preparing to take the plunge, and I'd read these super present, kind and agenda free responses and every time I checked, they were all written by this guy. When I moved out of the valley, I tried a "medical spa " with super cool marketing close to me for convenience and immediately regretted it. Night and day. Experience and results. He's the best. I'll tell you why. He's an obviously super caring and super intelligent / competent person. I'm a very sensitive/ intuitive person. I also have a plethora of experience with different doctors because of my personal history. I know when I'm being sized up ( or sized down)And I know when someone's not making an effort to fully see me. His personality is very gentle, but it's authentic. He's real. He says what he thinks. He won't ever push you towards any work. And he's so good at it. No pain really. I'm jumpy and sensitive, I get nervous, but it's nothing. I have no bruising/ minimal swelling. I have been wanting to have an upper eye lift for years. I did research on a number of plastic surgeons. Dr. Persky was referred to me by a friend of mine. Just finished EmSculpt treatment on abs and glutes. It has only been a few weeks and I'm already feeling so much leaner and amazing. A friend noticed while we were out and asked if i had a tummy tuck procedure. Hilarious! Nope, just emSculpt. I let her know that i did a non surgical treatment called EM Sculpt. One 1/2 hour treatment is the equivalent of 20,000 sit ups or squats. Dr recommends four treatments to see results in a few months. Visited Dr. Persky yesterday after a (too long) absence. Wanted fillers around chin again and he used several, including Juvederm and one or two of the Restylane products. The area was naturally sore for hours but not a big deal and certainly expected. Today, less than 24 hours later, much less soreness and no trouble sleeping at all last night.
