Wow! I suggest staying away from this place. We drove an hour and a half to take a look at a Bronco they list for sale on their website for $38,970. When you click on "detail pricing", it shows dealer fees, electronic fees, and tag fees. No problem. Got to the dealership and spoke with a salesman named Michael. Nice guy. He stated that the vehicle price was actually $55,000 and that the vehicle was a demo and couldn't be sold for six months. I let him know what the website shows, and he invited us in to check what it shows online and check with the manager. His computer shows what we showed. We asked to speak with the manager, and in comes Santiago Hernandez. No smile, nothing... I introduced myself and girlfriend. Not a word back from Santiago. He said that the website price is incorrect and he can't even sell the vehicle if he wanted to. I asked why the vehicle was listed at $38,970. He wouldn't answer, and deflected that he can't even sell it. I asked him again and he stated that it was an error and was priced incorrectly. I stated that there are laws that protect the consumer from listing a vehicle at one price, only to be selling it for a different price. I then proceeded to ask that even if the price was correct, why do they have the vehicle listed on the website for sale if they can't even sell it. He stated that he can put whatever he wants on the website. I stated that he stated earlier that corporate runs the website, but now he can make changes to the website so which was it? He responded that he puts whatever he wants on the website. I said thank you for your time and walked out. Dropped my truck off first thing in the morning on Thursday due to overheating issues, should've been simple diagnosis and fix but no. Called me 2 hours later saying the truck was fine. Once I arrived to pick up the truck I was told that there actually WAS a problem with it and that they were working to fix it. After 6 hours they told me they needed to order parts for it and that it would be done by Friday afternoon. Come Friday afternoon I called for an update and was told they ordered the wrong part, and that it wouldn't be done until Monday at the earliest. No attempt to outsource parts or send a runner to part facilities out of town. I will NOT be coming back here, and I recommend you don't either. read more

They took advantage of me, I am a woman who has no experience in this type of business, and an 80-year-old man, my father. I bought a car at this dealer because I thought I could trust the 'name' of this company in this city, but it was a total disappointment. The air conditioning worked one day and then failed, the seat belts did not work either, I reported it and I was offered to take it to repair, so I had to wait almost 3 weeks for it, without being able to drive because it is illegal to do it without the seat belts in good working order. To this day I am still waiting for the repaired car. And the most painful thing was that, they offered me a 30-day warranty to return the car if I was not satisfied, and when I wanted to take action on it, they told me that it could not be done; they just offered that to exchange it, now they tell me that they do not have another car for the same value that. I lost the keys of my king ranch f150 , my truck had to be towed by the dealership on the process of getting the keys , after 4 weeks I still don't have the keys. The truck was parked at the dealership for 2 weeks, finally they gave me replacement key that doesn't work with alarm. The dealership also tried to charge me for broken shifter that was working fine before loosing the keys, they broke the shifter when truck was towed by their on company.Worse service ever.I sold the truck and the new owner still doesn't have the keys.Two unhappy customers , waiting for the keys!!!! read more

My husband called and talked to Theresa about building a truck because there wasn't one he wanted on the lot. She told him that he needed to come in and get our current truck appraised before talking about building a truck. Well we loaded up our 8 month old and made the 1 hour and 15 minute drive to the dealership. We get there tell the sales guy the truck we wanted and he says there is one just like it being built at the plant. They look over our truck and then refused to give us an appraisal. Make sure you call ahead several times before going in for a repair to confirm time and availability. We called ahead and let the guys know we were 2 hours away and they said yes, they had availability, no problem at all, come on in. Told us to buy the parts on the way and they'd be able to install when we got there. We confirmed several times during our call about the time and the fact that it would take us 2 hours to arrive. They said, no problem. Upon arrival, the guy at the desk said he was expecting us earlier and didn't know if they'd be able to do the job. We reminded him that we clearly confirmed several times we would arrive in 2 hours, which we did. Long story short, we were told the job could not be completed today, which we were told on the phone could be done. So we drove out of our way all the way here expecting the repair only to be told no upon arrival. So again, call and confirm many times before showing up for repairs. read more

Took my meticulously maintained 2000 Ford F250 7.3 diesel with only 60k miles in for oil change, fuel filter change and tire rotation. I supplied materials. My appointment was for 11:15, didn't leave until 3:30 which I wouldn't mind if the work was done correctly. My trucks oil was overfilled by a half quart, no big deal but shade tree mechanics know the 7.3 holds 15 quarts, not 15.5. Then I noticed my front end wasn't greased. My zerks were dirty, no sign of fresh grease and my ball joint boots were flat, all sure signs of no grease. For the grand finale they charged me $50 labor for changing the fuel filter! Really?! Its a less than 5 minute job. You 7.3 owners that service their truck themselves know I'm telling the truth. I don't mind waiting 4 hours for a simple oil change but I want the job done correctly. read more

I stopped in Alan Jay Ford to price a 2018 Ford 150. They're the big name in Sebring. I wanted a economy package that Ford shows on line for approximately $27,000. The salesman's name not important priced the truck at $32,700. "But", I said, "Ford shows it at 27". Immediately I was told, "let me show you where you are wrong". The salesman shows me a $1,325 delivery fee. I was led to believe that Ford was lying to the public. I went to Alan Jay Ford seven times to ask for the FORD PRICE! They misled, lumped figures together so I could not see actual numbers even though I asked for them in writing. They would never give a definitive answer. The salesman said "$32,770.00 was final" , even with ALL my Ford discounts. I asked, knowing the price was to high, if Alan Jay would toss in a $250 bed liner. The SALES MANAGER shot down my request and told me to walk. Thank God He did. It was all a ploy. It was an organized swindle between persons at Alan Jay Ford against ME. They withheld information, misled and tried to overcharge ME by thousands. They told me to walk. I walked to Bill Jarrett Ford in Avon Park. I met and sat down with a salesman. He looked up the truck, took off Ford's given discounts and SUDDENLY my truck was $25,468.00!! Base Price. I asked about a tow package and the bed liner? They tossed both in for $250. "But I have a 2003 Ford 150 I want to trade", I said. " I want $4000 for it", a fifteen year old truck. "OK" they said. The out the door price w/ trade on for my brand new Ford 150 Super Cab: $23,589.17! Not $32,000 +. My rating for Alan Jay Ford is zero. I am 70. I understand all car dealers wheel & deal but at Alan Jay the salesmen and the salesmanager collude to mislead and over price every auto and truck they sell. BUYER BEWARE! At Bill Jarrett Ford they have no dealers fees, nada. It saved me $3000.00 to drive seven miles to another dealership. I could have gotten another $750 off if I had financed. Alan Jay should be ashamed of this dealership. While driving back home to Jacksonville I noticed the dealership and a used truck for sale on their lot that struck our interest. We turned around and pulled in. We noticed two trucks and we test drove both trucks. We ended up liking one and wanted to talk numbers. As we all know the dealership always gives you 3 ridiculous numbers at first and of course those were not gonna fly. So Alex whom was very pleasant and nice was just a runner boy for the man sitting behind the computer tossing numbers out with an empty SALES board behind him. I couldn't get the price down far enough for the monthly payments to make sense. So I asked Alex to run it at a 2.94 interest rate after coming back the numbers were still overly high and after 40 minutes I ask him to run the numbers at 6.9- which SOME HOW the numbers came in lower at a 6.9- then a 2.94 Which made me at the moment realize two things. Alex and his goon didn't know math and what a scam. I asked Alex to grab the other sheet with both numbers- upon doing so I called him out and ask him how he managed to bring lower numbers with a 6.9 vrs a 2.94 interest rate? He fumbled and couldn't think fast enough. POINT is I didn't even need the truck but was wanting to leave the lot with it. But because the goon with the empty sales board couldn't come up with the correct numbers to match what he was trying to sale we walked out. Also the dumb goon behind the computer with the EMPTY sales board actually thought we didn't hear him come up over the phone to listen to our conversation while Alex stepped out. HA. Would not recommend this dealership for service. Three weeks ago I took my car in for brake work and to have the back up camera serviced. I was told the front brakes had half their life left and they installed brakes on the back only. They stated the back up camera was working fine and could not diagnose an issue if it was not acting up. One week ago I started having a grinding noise in the front right brake. I called on Tuesday and received an 8am appointment for today(Thursday). Upon arrival I was told there was a $90ish fee for looking at the issues. After two hours of waiting I checked with the service desk for any update and was told they believed I needed new brake pads but they weren't totally sure until the technician could take it apart and look at it. It had been two hours since my appointment time and he hadn't evendiagnosed it yet.?... I pointed out the fact that I was just in for brakes three weeks earlier and if, in fact, it is just a brake pad issue I shouldn't be responsible for the $90 fee as the issue should have been dealt with during the previous appointment. The service desk person said I wouldn't be and I went back to the waiting room. Within 10 minutes he came in and explained that I would have to pay the fee as the technician got a malfunction code on the back up camera. I questioned that as they just told me the camera was working. I didn't understand this explanation as during the previous appointment they were supposed to service the back up camera and I was told they couldn't get it to malfunction and I was not charged anything for it but now I have to pay for a malfunction code diagnosis. If it wasn't malfuctioning why did they get a code now but they didn't three weeks ago. At this point I just asked for my car back and I would take it elsewhere. The service manager spoke with me and conceded that the correct actions were not taken at the previous appointment and I would not be charged the $90 fee. I left my car there, went home and waited for the call for the complete diagnosis. By 12:30 I still had no call so I called them.....still no diagnosis of what needed to be done. 5 1/2 hours after my appointment time, this is poor customer service. While I was waiting I decided I had enough of the run around and called them back stating I would be in to get my car. I will be taking it to a different Ford dealership tomorrow morning. read more
