I would just like to write a follow up review on Dr. Alan Khadavi because my experience with him has been just so fantastic, and leaps and bounds above 3 other other allergists I was forced to go see because I moved away from Dr. Khadavi's 2 offices. After being forced to deal with 2 horrible allergists offices in Ventura, I NOW WENT BACK TO DR. ALAN KHADAVI, AND DRIVE ALMOST 4 HOURS TO GO SEE HIM SIMPLY BECAUSE HE JUST SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE OTHER ALLERGISTS I TRIED TO SEE. I must preface my review here by saying that I was really suffering after I moved and the allergists here in Ventura were USELESS and would not help me, nor alter my treatment to help me. Dr. Khadavi doesn't know it but he saved me from suffering after going back to him. I thank God for him, seriously. For me, Dr. Khadavi is the most attentive, most thoughtful, and most available allergist I have had treatment from. There is no disputing that I have had an amazing experience with Dr. Khadavi. I could recommend no Allergist, or no Doctor more highly, He is simply the best., and i'm not exaggerating, trust me. I have several reasons for giving such such a high review of Dr. Khadavi. First, Dr. Alan Khadavi is considerate and thoughtful. He really cares how you are doing. All the other allergists really don't give a crap about you, just your money. They use a nurse or nurses aide to give the shots, Dr. Alan Khadavi actually give you the shots himself. And if you need to make any changes or a stronger/weaker dosage it's like trying to raise the dead at other allergists offices, and if you are suffering it will make you very angry and frustrated if you can not get the proper dosage or serum. Second, he is completely available to you, and always just an email away, and he responds always promptly. Third, he uses the best serum. I found this out the hard way. many other allergists use cheap serum that's often referred to as stock, and believe me, it doesn't work as well. I got asthma while on the cheap crap other allergists use. Dr. Khadavi uses the highest quality serum. Forth, he gives you personal attention, and this is the single most important factor when choosing an allergist. Where the other 2 allergists I've been to are like a factory, and really could care less about you, and are only concerned with their insurance money or their cash. Unfortunately, I found this out the HARD WAY. I moved to Ventura, and I was too far from Dr. Khadavi. The allergists here completely SUCK compared to Dr. Khadavi. I was used to being able to speak to my Allergist when ever I wanted to because that's the level of personal one on one service that Dr. Khadavi provides. I thought that was normal! Huh, silly me. The two other allergist offices I've been to in Ventura refuse to let me even see the Dr., ask any questions, or talk about my treatment without making a $150 to $250 appointment! The shots are administered by nurses aides, and the Dr.'s are like some elusive Buda you are not allowed to have any contact with. Completely unbelievable! Dr. Khadavi is ALWAYS available and a quick email away, and answers ALL of your questions. He also usually administers the shots himself and asks you how you have been feeling. It's important when you are suffering, trust me. Maybe the 2 allergist offices I went to were particularly bad, but it seems to me like they are all like that. I am really allergic to my dog, so treatment is important to me, and TRUST ME WHEN I TELL YOU, YOU WILL GET THE ABSOLUTE BEST TREATMENT FROM Dr. Khadavi. He is truly a thoughtful and an extremely helpful Doctor, and you will get personal attention second to none. Do yourself a favor, if you are in need of allergy treatment and within driving distance to him, GO TO HIM. He has made my life bearable again, and if you have bad allergies and are suffering he is absolutely the best. Testament to this fact, I AM NOW DRIVING 4 HOURS JUST TO GO SEE HIM BECAUSE DR. KHADAVI IS SIMPLY SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE 2 OTHER ALLERGISTS I TRIED CLOSER TO ME. My goodness, I forgot to mention that he is sooo reasonably priced as well! First, I must start with saying that I am not someone from any office-this is a real review, I am a patient of Dr. Khadavi's (I am always skeptical on review sites like these). Now the review: Dr. Khadavi is simply fantastic, and after calling and seeing many other allergists, it's clear he is a very different, a very special kind Doctor. Many allergists make you feel rushed or like a number. Dr. Khadavi is very thoughtful and caring. He pays attention, and really cares about helping you. If you've never been to an allergist before you won't know why this is so different. I had a consultation with another allergist because it was my first time seeing one, and it was extremely obvious the difference between other allergists and Dr. Khadavi. I believe that because he payed attention and cared about my quality of life, the treatment actually worked incredibly fast on me! I simply can't say enough glowing things about Dr. Khadavi. I was suffering badly from Dog allergies, and I must say I have had Fantastic Results even though it's still early in my treatment. I must say, I think he adjusted my treatment to the type and the severity of my allergies, and that's how he stopped my suffering (coughing/asthma & sneezing) ALMOST RIGHT AWAY. I truly do not think any other allergist would have given me such strong shots and on such a fast schedule/increasing dosage (I think he called it immunotherapy) because other allergists put you on a much slower shot schedule, and it can take many months (typically 6) to just start feeling better. ALL OF MY SYMPTOMS WERE GONE ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER BEGINNING TREATMENT WITH DR. KHADAVI. Dr. Khadavi basically saved me from having to give our beloved Dog away. Absolutely the best possible treatment I could have hoped for. I suffer from Dog allergies and lived for a long time always sneezing and developing asthma from the dog allergy. I was very upset that I may have to get rid of my dog, so I saw Dr. Khadavi's review here on yelp. When I called I was surprised how reasonably priced he was compared to other allergists. I got quotes of up to $1000, and since I don't have insurance cost was an issue. Dr. Khadavi's office was charging A FRACTION of that amount. I was worried I might get sub par medicine or service but after asking a few questions on the phone (and of course now being treated) I can assure you, you get MUCH BETTER quality of service than those high priced allergist offices in West LA. I myself wasn't sure how effective the shots would be, but I went to see Dr Khadavi, and we talked briefly about everything and we decided the shots were the best route for me to go. We ended up doing a lot of shots right away because I didn't have a strong reaction off the top. I couldn't believe it because after the FIRST DAY OF TREATMENT I seemed to be cured of my horrible allergies that I was suffering from!!! The sneezing, coughing, etc.. Dr. Khadavi went the extra mile for me. Normally this type of treatment would have cost thousands because we did a large number of shots the first day, AND HE ONLY CHARGED ME NEXT TO NOTHING for the 8 shots I got the first session. I thought that was incredibly GENEROUS. But don't assume you'll get exactly the same treatment as me or the results, that depends on you. Normally allergists charge $50 for one shot, Dr K only charges $10 and he even charged me less than that!!! Also, when you get a large dosage apparently its called immunotherapy or something like that where you do a strong dose in one session, and that can cost THOUSANDS. I can't tell you to expect him to do the same for you since every case is different but I highly doubt other allergists would have charged that little for the same, OR EVEN HAVE BEEN WILLING TO GO THE EXTRA MILE FOR YOU. I am completely impressed and EXTREMELY happy with the results I'm getting, he is very understanding and thoughtful and I highly recommend him if you need an allergist. I feel very lucky that I found him on my first attempt to try an allergist. It's my opinion that you really won't do better than Dr. Khadavi for treatment, honesty, thoughtfulness, and of course very reasonable prices especially if you a paying cash like me. Living in Los Angeles, its hard not to have allergies, I was fortunate to be referred to Dr. Khadavi by a friend of mine who had seen him before. I was able to get a quick appointment. After filling out the forms in our office, I was happy to be seen right away with no wait time. He greeted me with a smile and put me at ease right away. He took a very detailed history of my problems all the way from when I was a child, he was very thorough. After I did a breathing test to check if I had asthma (I don't), and we did some allergy testing. I was tested many years ago as a child and his test was so much better!!! Not only did I not have to do it on my back (my arms), but its no longer any needles, its little pricks that are all attached to each other, so you barely feel anything! ( Another friend of mine went somewhere else and it was one by one and took forever). Nevertheless, it took about 20 seconds and I was done. Then he gave me options on how to treat my symptoms, usually doctors just tell me what to do, but he listened to me and we made the decision together after discussing the pros and cons of each one. I went to Dr. Khadavi for severe chronic sinusitis after years of suffering. Dr. Khadavi was knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and professional. After the initial consultation and testing, Dr. Khadavi came up with a treatment plan that was thoughtful, thorough, and comprehensive. Now a few months into treatment, my breathing has become so much better with much less nasal congestion and sensitivity. Dr. Khadavi is one of the BEST doctors I've ever visited. I went to him because I had hives all over my body for weeks and the meds the previous doctor had given me weren't working. His staff tried to book the appointment as fast as possible. Dr. Khadavi diagnosed my condition immediately, changed my meds and gave me a timeframe of my progress that proved to be exactly on point. I am now at the end of my treatment, no hives and still checking in with Dr. Khadavi every few days to make sure everything is going well. He managed to make me feel safe, showed genuine interest in my health and on top of everything he was very considerate of my financial situation. Great doctor. All around excellent care. I have dust mite allergies for many years and after procrastinating for a long time and suffering I decided to do something about it. I did the allergy test in the office and to no surprise of myself I was allergic to the dust as I suspected. After discussing the various options, I decided to the allergy shots. It's gone very well for me, in fact when I went to a dusty hotel, everyone around me was in bad shape and normally I would be the same but I was symptom free, it works. It was an easy appointment, parking isn't validated and it's about 8 dollars an hour but there is a lot of street parking on Wiltshire that's metered and side street parking but read the signs for street cleaning rules. read more

This review is overdue as I was so pleased with the visits I had a while back with Dr. Khadavi. He was very patient, great about explaining things and very humane. He could have easily led me in the wrong direction but fairly quickly diagnosed my problem that did not involve allergy shots. I have been seeing Dr. Khadavi since 2013 for my allergies. He is AWESOME! The shots work. There is NO WAIT. I'm in and out in minutes. The location is great, and the office is nice. His staff is awesome. And his pricing is low. I'm a cash patient and its not a hardship to keep up with these shots. I truly believe you couldn't do better than Dr. K. What more could you want? Shots that work, you're in and out in minutes, it hardly costs anything, everybody's cool and your allergies are gone. I defy anybody to find a better choice than Dr. Khadavi. read more
