The appointment and the X-Ray process were so smooth. The Los Gatos staff were extremely nice and friendly. They have X-Ray and ultrasonic equipment on-site, which is a great convenience. I was tolerating a severe pain and swollen ankle the entire night, with overthinking such as "Would my bone be fractured? Would I never go back to gym?""Would I need to lay on a bed for 1-3 months?" After X-Ray and ultrasonic, as well as Dr.Chen performed pressure check on different points, he thoroughly explained and educated me about the situation: it is an organic sprain. All bones, joints and ligament are perfectly fine. Dr.Chen showed me and suggested me to record how to use KT tape. No prescriptions, no more exams, but good suggestions on which exercises would help the recovery as well as certain shoes to wear during the period. Since meeting with Dr. S. I've done some research cross-checking and have found a DPM in my plan that I'm excited about seeing. Fingers crossed my HMO gives the green light. The problem with Dr. S.: All seemed well during the visit except for one rude and slightly embarrassing remark he made which I intentionally decided to ignore (nobody's perfect). But the next day when I tried to access their secure messaging portal I encountered technical issues that couldn't be resolved. Portals like the one his office uses are supposed to have tech support for patients. This one doesn't. And I guess the doctor just got frustrated with my asking for assistance from his office staff that he simply abandoned me. He wouldn't let me arrange a quick Zoom call with a member of his staff and portal rep to show them the technical problem. It would have likely been an easy fix. All I needed was a way to message him securely: each instance he gets caught communicating personal health info unsecurely, he risks being fined thousands of dollars. I don't know if he has deep control issues and therefore doesn't have faith in his office staff to get the job done, or if he just has a short fuse, but whatever is going on it's not healthy. My advice is to really take your time to find a DPM who behaves professionally. He or she will be worth their weight in gold.

He is gentle, patient, and takes as long as needed to do the job properly. I am SO glad I found Dr. R. He listens carefully, and gives advice if needed, but is never pushy about his opinions. He can take my pain away, within 15 mins, and I walk out of there, feeling much better in every way. His receptionist, Noosh is also very accommodating to help fit me in when it's clear that he was fully booked already. My thanks go out to both of them and it's great to go in this office, as it has a calming feeling to it. My previous Podiatry office up the street, had more of a clinic feel, and not at all like this practice. This may be a smaller practice, but you will get quality care! If you're not sure where to go, look no further, this is the Doctor, and the practice to choose.

Dr. Douglas Robinson DPM, was highly recommended to me by the pediatric office of my son…read more From the moment we walked in, it was obvious that the staff, and Dr. Robinson himself not only care about patients but are really good with people of all ages (my son is 8 years old). Dr. Robinson talked directly to my son, and gave him instructions in a manner that was clear that he cared about reaching him on his level and vocabulary, and not that he was talking down to him. Upon listening to my narrative, he told me confidently that he could solve my son's problems, and spoiler alert he did! In probably 10 minutes or less, Dr. Robinson was able to diagnose what were the problems my son was having (flat feet, tight arches and feet that had outgrown his shoes). He was able to find for us orthotics in his office that fit him, which is great because we didn't have to go through the time and expense of having customized molds made. My son and I are now at home, he has new orthotics, and his new shoes in the correct size. I am so happy to report that my son is now walking regularly and comfortably. I highly recommend this office especially if you are a parent bringing in a child as a patient!
