Truly a wonderful store to the pet owner. I do not have a dog but if I did this would be the top tier place in town to go for all things dog related. I stopped in after seeing their Facebook page advertising a photo op free with a non perishable food donation and it was great set up. Inside has a nice nostalgia and plenty of quirky, local and useful things to buy. I picked up a shaving set for my husband I hadn't yet seen anywhere else. They have store coupons and a rewards system in store for the frequent buyers out there. Overall a great place.

    Spring is coming!

We love Alaska Mill & Feed and with spring approaching, it aids us with our spring fever. Fantastic treats for the fur babies! They offer a catnip cigar that makes our boy go nuts! We always make sure there is one in his stocking for Christmas. Great supply of pig ears and other treats and foods to boot. Gardening, farming, canning, birds, fermenting, composting, kitchenware, this store is fantastic! Some say it's expensive but I don't really see it. They always make super cute displays for the fur babies, tea and kitchenware. Unique little items that make me smile. Walking in this most recent trip, the seed stands were proudly displayed and even though I already have all I need for the year and most are even started, I still perused, in case I needed to add to my stash. Beautiful sauerkraut crocks from 1 to 10 gallons for a great price. I recently laughed while in an antique store that wanted $140 for a crock that I know was only $40 at AM&F. I was going to purchase a 2 gallon, but they were out. Eh, it's okay, the cabbage won't be ready for months and it gives me a reason to go back again. We like to walk the whole shop, making sure we see everything and don't miss anything that has recently been added. Don't forget, the have a live Christmas tree lot during the holidays to purchase trees, swag & wreaths!

Alaska Mill and Feed has been around for many years. They are a consistent community store for pet owners and plant growers. They also have a small selection of unique and sweet gifts and gadgets. Their prices aren't the lowest in town but they're worth paying for the attention and assistance you receive. Employees are always respectful and friendly. If they don't have an answer, they will get it for you. You feel at-home here and can get stuck in this small store for a long time looking at all the knick-knacks. It's a warm and comfortable place to purchase most everything you need for your garden and pets.

Such a relaxing vibe. Was definitely busy both times we stopped by - had to wait about 20 minutes for our drinks - but they were efficient. There were just so many people placing orders. Drinks were delicious. Came during the fall, so got to try their fall specials. Loved their Blueberry Crumble Latte. Blueberry is one of my favorites in a drink, and you could really taste the blueberry in this one. Also enjoyed their Harvest Jasmine Fog. I usually like to sit and drink my coffee after ordering, so the only downside is they don't really have seating options inside their shop. It was just one couch with a table. But with all their plant merchandise, it's understandable why there isn't any space for tables. Overall, a great choice for coffee. Highly recommend.

Great coffee joint. We ordered some delicious baked goods from Fire Island but needed some coffee…read moreto wash it all down. The plants are a gorgeous aesthetic but it feels almost like they need to pick a category. If they're selling more plants than coffee, I would lean away from coffee, but if they're as busy selling and making latte's as I saw a queue for, then they need to probably make room for more customers/espresso machines. The wait (in the height of a rush during early July) was close to 15 minutes. I didn't mind and the latte I had was freaking delicious, but it was a wild wait considering there is (but one couch) no place to sit where they make things. Would still return. Loved the tastes!

My wife and I solicited quotes from 3 other landscaping companies before settling on Faltz…read moreLandscaping. The 3 others met us at our home and listened to our ideas and took measurements of the areas to be landscaped. Within a week we received quotes from two of the other companies that just parroted back our ideas without any design drawings or detail. The third company jerked us around for 3 additional weeks before telling us they were too busy and gave us a baseless and wildly expensive "estimate" for next year. In contrast, Josie Blumenthal from Faltz came to our house twice to sketch the area, take dimensions and develop our design ideas. On the 2nd trip she took aerial photos with a drone and prepared a concept design based upon our ideas. At our third meeting, Ben Brown, Faltz Landscape Architect, who was mentoring Josie, joined the Team and proposed some new design concepts that we liked a lot. We signed a contract and within a week the Faltz crew was on site. The 3-man crew were experienced, polite and professional. Most of the time while the work was in progress, either Josie, Ben or both were on site, assuring the work was in conformance with the plan. At the end of every workday, the crew cleaned our yard and driveway. Three days later the work was complete. The final product far exceeded our expectations, and we are very happy with the entire Faltz Team, especially Ben and Josie. We felt that Faltz provided a superior product and good value. We'd highly recommend Faltz for your landscape needs.
