communication was the hardest part of working with rodrigo. the work that was done (renato cleaned solar panels and installed mesh to prevent birds from nesting) and the price was fine but it's the communication of confirming what work is to be done and at what cost that was lacking. communication was over imessage and rodrigo didn't seem to read and reply to my messages in its entirety which led to confusion. i specifically texted what work was to be done and the cost the day before the appt. on that morning of the appt his worker was not able to come due to personal reasons which wasn't the problem. rodrigo said that he would call me back at 5pm but instead his worker came to the house at 5:30pm unannounced. the worker said that he didn't have the mesh and that i was to order it myself via amazon and it would be installed another time. rodrigo didn't say that i had to get the materials myself despite me outlining what was to be done the day before. Also when confirming the cost it was not what i had messaged earlier in which i spelled out the services/costs expectations. this confusion led to him slandering me saying "you are trying to mislead me. i am sorry. i have been working in the Bay Area for over 15 years. we have over 5000 clients throughout California". when I attempting to clarify/rectify the situation he would not answer my question directly. Then when questioning when was he going to tell me i had to purchase the mesh myself he then included the materials in the pricing. i would say that when communicating with rodrigo question him if he doesn't answer your questions in its entirety and don't assume anything, even obvious things. on the other hand, renato was great to work with. polite, clear in his communication, and timely (he came early though). i asked for pictures before/after which he provided (though he said that rodrigo was going to send it to me but rodrigo never did). -- Update to review: review updated as Rodrigo asked me to take down the review as he said it "hurts my reputation". I honestly think his company does good work that is timely and at a reasonable price. Don't want to hurt small businesses so changing from 2 stars to 3 stars.
