State farm agent Erika Ramirez hit my car with her door. telling me insurance won't do anything and if i tried to claim she gonna deny allegations. tried telling her to give me cash & she ain't want to unless i gave her my name, but she ain't gonna give me her name?? she loud, big, & ignorant. she tried driving off until she realized i was on the phone with the cops who just heard her say it all. all this & she gonna give me $20 & that's it. she kept tryna act all high and mighty while talking over me & kept repeating its just a door tap, but if roles were reversed it would of been a different story. no accountability at all. beware of the big bbl lip filler lady in the white Mercedes. read more

If you're a college student and or low-income resident please read! I have been with State Farm for 3 years now. Initially, my premiums were affordable, but over the years, my premiums slowly increased (even with the good driver discount, etc and no accidents). Every time I called Alba's office, she blamed CA laws and explained how every insurance company is experiencing price hikes (please read other reviews below). My monthly rate jumped from $70 to $180 within three months and Alba/Mercedes provided no explanation. Overall, bad customer service and very dishonest agents. It makes me angry that they serve low income neighborhoods/Spanish Speakers and take advantage of people by charging very high prices. So I decided to switch car insurance and eventually found out about the CA's Low Cost Auto Insurance, via the DMV. Google "DMV CA Low Cost Auto Insurance" and click on the first link. (Yes, it is legit! ;) My monthly rate is now $40, with the same coverage (Liability only). I highly recommend this service and my only regret is not switching sooner. Tip: Keep in mind that car insurance company's must make enough money for all claims and overhead costs (commissions, staffing, light bill, rent, etc), which come from our premiums. This business has caused me countless headaches. For starters, I applied for a credit card, and never received it in the mail. I called Mercedes, and she said to stop by the office. I did just that, and she said that I would receive my card soon. Again, I received no card. I called her again, and same answer. Stop by her office she said. At that point I got tired of going back and called statefarm bank directly. They told me that they had never received a copy of my SNN and ID. i thought it was funny because Mercedes had "sent" it like three times. In the end, I never received the credit card, and my credit score got hit because of the soft reporting. Don't do business with these people, lie after lie. read more

Worst business ever!!!! I had service with them for about 4yrs and every so often my rates would go up. When I called to discuss a change made in my plan, 50% of the time the employe's didn't know the answer to my questions. Therefore, I would ask to speak to the owner (FYI:The owner is never in the office). When she is in the office she takes very long (week or so) to return your call or doesn't return it at all. You need to constantly keep calling until Alba feels like taking on your issue. With my specific issue, Alba couldn't come up with a helpful resolution. She was rude and unprofessional. I canceled my policy and went else where. If you want to avoid a headache in the future avoid this specific location. Good luck if you end up obtaining her services. read more

This business is beyond sketchy and even when they mess up fixing it takes forever. Anyway, we used to insure two cars with them unfortunately one was a total loss and we canceled the policy yet they still attempted to take money from my account. Luckily I had talked to my bank and let them know not to allow this business to take any funds. Now, I canceled the policy for the second vehicle and we have been harassed through phone and email about payment for two cars they NO LONGER INSURE!! This is beyond crazy and unprofessional. Oh but do not try to go to the establishment and speak to the person in charge (Mercedes..Or whoever it is..I wouldn't know because they're NEVER THERE) because she is NEVER there and her workers do not seem to have the slightest clue as to what they are doing. BEWARE of this establishment, maybe not necessarily StateFarm but definitely this particular office. They'll take your money but the moment you need help, they're nowhere to be found! read more

I been working with this office for about 2 years now. I have a complicated policy with 6 drivers and 5 cars. Hence, this review is based on multiple situations and long time dealing with this office. Staff are very friendly and professional. From start to end, Mercedes was able to get me best price (even cheaper than other smaller companies that I had before). She went above and beyond to make me satisfied (let me tell you that I'm very aggressive and I can say I could be very criticized sometimes). Few reasons to consider and definitely you will find here: 1- Trust: Staff in this office have a great level of integrity. I was not hesitated to give them any information they requested. 2- Communication: As a business professional, I can say that they are very precise and to the point. They worked around all my requests via emails, phone calls, texts etc. I did not have to visit their office even once. 3- Relationship: Even my policy worth more than $500 a month, I was not treated as another number. They even recognized my voice every time I call. They always remembered my birthday and sent me greeting cards for my family events (.i.e birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays). Timely Responses: If you don't know that, let me tell that this very important when it comes to insurance. I was closing my escrow and wanted paper works to be ready in the same day. They even stayed few hours after normal business hours to finish my policy. Another time I was buying a car and needed a proof of insurance. I have been with State Farm for 3 years, thinking that because I have been a loyal customer I would be considered important enough for them to let me know changes in my premium! Not quite. At the begging of the year my premium went up, I was NOT notified that this was going to happen, they just charged me a higher amount and I didn't even know why. Just great. Last month it was increased yet AGAIN for $40 more and guess what I was not notified! I went over to talk to whomever was able to help, Alba was there, she told me rates have been increased in CA and I understand but twice? Apparently only to a few ?? I've asked other State Farm customers and they have not been increased twice this year, and very calmly she told me to go look elsewhere she couldn't do anything for me! after 3 years, made my payments every month, clean record, not one accident and she told me to look somewhere else. I did, and I found a better auto insurance, better rate and better customer service! I've even talked to other State Farm agents and they apologized for the way she works the business. Go somewhere else people or find another State Farm agent that can explain you and notify you of the changes on your policy. I have been with State Farm for over 6 years. When I bought a new car and moved I came to this location. In the last year they have raised my insurance payment 4 times!!!! It jumped from $42 to $64 from one month to the next! Then from $64 to $68. It went down for one or two months to $63. When I asked for an explanation they gave me the same bull crap answer stating CA raised the rates. I'm sure they did but that does not mean the agents/company have to charge us the customer a substantial amount more. That is up to them whether they CHOOSE to or not!!! They have terrible customer service when it comes to their sorry excuse of an explanation. They take advantage of peoples trust and the loyalty us customers give them. I'm so tired of their excuses and extremely fake "sorries". I will be canceling my insurance with them. Im going to a more professional company that values their customers. I have never been in an accident and have a clean record. So tell me, is this how you treat your customers that have cost you nothing and paid you so much over the years?! Oh and I forgot to mention, I got yet another letter today showing yet another unexplained increase to my insurance payment and is now $75. This is ridiculous!!!
