I found Albany County Fasteners via an online search several months ago when I was in need of some stainless steel hardware for outdoor furniture I was building. I've placed 5 orders with them since and am very pleased with the products, pricing and delivery even through the current pandemic. There was one delivery that was delayed but it was clearly stuck at the USPS facility and not the fault of the shipper. I placed my next order for pickup and was able to get my items within a few hours of calling. The one item that was out of stock and not needed immediately was shipped to me several days later at no charge. All in all they have an incredible selection of hardware, much of which you won't find at the big box stores with very competitive prices, often cheaper than those stores. They are my new go-to supplier for fasteners and related hardware. read more

Very nice hardware at very reasonable prices. Yes, it comes in plastic bags, not boxes. No, the packaging isn't bulletproof. But at these prices, they're saving $$ and passing the savings on to their customers. If you want better packaging, go to McMaster Carr & pay 2-3 times more for the same stuff. read more

Great selection, reasonable prices, fast shipping--what more could you ask? Perhaps shipping their products using the proper packaging and not putting hardware in a cardboard envelope. Unless you want the sorting equipment at the post office blowing your hardware out the bottom of the package never to be seen again, I would suggest you find somewhere else to buy your hardware. And then they expect you to jump through hoops by filling out some stupid bureaucratic form at the post office to get your order replaced. All because some cheapskate bean counter decided he could save a few cents by using a cheaper container. Never again. They seemed too good to be true, and they were. read more

I've been buying stainless steel and hot dipped galvanized (some brass and silicon bronze) hardware from these folks for years. I'm an electrical and marine engineer, as of late, retired. I want to do a job just once and I'm willing to pay top dollar for materials and parts that I very well may stake my (or someone else's) life on. Fortunately, Albany's prices are surprisingly modest. Everything I've received from them has been of excellent quality; some of the best I've ever seen after building and fixing things for 50+ years. Precise, tight, uniform tolerances. Their inventory is vast and comprehensive. And an invoice of $35 gets you free, fast shipping. Customer service is pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. I see a couple of folks "panned" (one star) them. Ah, well, as the late Frank Zappa was fond of saying, "It ain't getting any smarter out there." read more

This used to be my first vendor to go to for fasteners -- now it's my last resort only Excellent products, packaging, and fast delivery. HOWEVER, really stupid management that refused to make good on their deceptive incorrect advertising. Price is not the only reason to deal with a vendor; for me ethics trump price. I'll deal with McMaster-Carr, Fastenal, or other vendors before I'll deal with RawProducts/AlbanyCountyFasteners again. read more

Buyer beware. They will send you tool accessories that are not compatible with tools made in USA. Then make you pay shipping costs to return. They had to research what the problem was. That is telling me that they sell things they dont know anything about read more

I am 66 years old and have been in trades for all of my working life. I have had hardware problems akin to this less than 5 times in my lifetime. Past problems have stemmed from cheaply made overseas products. I did not expect such a problem from a US manufacturer. Reached out to Customer Support and have heard nothing. i ordered from them a month ago and was pleased. however, this time, they didnt ship my package so i called. i was told "we're moving, it will go out in another 1-2 days". a day later, called again and was told "another 1-2" and the same thing for several more days. one person i spoke to was extremely short and basically said "tough luck, take it or leave it!" (despite using nicer words then my summary here, the meaning was the same and was not warranted nor appreciated). the website said nothing about delays when i placed my order either. Eventually, they allowed me to cancel my order, but it was time sensitive and I was forced to pay expedited shipping from an alternate supplier. read more

I ordered (4) 1 1/4" machine screws and (8) lock nuts 13 days ago. I was charged $6.50 to ship less than 3 oz in material and never received them. We are not in the Christmas season yet and stuff doesn't travel by horse and buggy. I told the woman to just ship me new screws and nuts but she wanted me to wait another 5 days for $2.84... I'm sure they have less than $1 in. I will never order from them again. read more

Don't waste your time trying to by anything from this place. Last Thursday we've ordered some screws from this place and payed for a second day air shipping. Today a week later we have not received the product and called them for a refund. We've been told the person who can make the refund won't be in until next Monday! Useless read more

I put in an order online. It never arrived. I used their website to ask about the order, no response. I contacted them again for a refund, still no response. I called and no one answered. Ten months later, I get an email saying my items will ship. Ten months later! I reply to the email telling them, it ten months too late and I asked for a refund of my money when the items never arrived. They tell me they never received my communication and its too late to receive a refund, I can only get a credit. I don't need a credit. It was a small enough amount of money that I could let it go, which is why I gave up after contacting them numerous times. But seriously, how hard is it to issue a refund for money you took and never provided the goods for? read more

Avoid this supplier for nuts and bolts I bought bulk stainless steel bolts and over half of them were cracked pure garbage. I told them about it and they avoided doing anything about it. read more

Ordered 2 chrome bolts on 8-30. They didn't ship them until 9-11. 12 days to ship is ridiculously slow. Took 1 minute to take my money though. Will not deal with again especially since I can get what they sell EVERYWHERE. read more

Poor customer service - and customer support that doesn't care. My order from them was never delivered - another USPS missing package. Unlike other suppliers they told me to hunt them down myself. Ultimately I paid for a product that I never received. And they just don't care. I advise you to order from somewhere else. read more

ordered rivets for a project, their website guaranteed delivery in a week, i had time to wait so it ordered. the order came a full week late and albany blames the post office due to covid 19. they had no eta so i told them to cancel and keep them, i ordered from reputable company and received the same products before i received the ones from albany, they keep blaming the post office, if they knew there would be a delay why use usps, and take the guarantee banner off there website. no they refuse to refund or take responsibility, its not a lot of money but enough for me to post as many negative reviews, to cost them something. read more

I was very happy with my order of Stainless steel lag bolts, washers and threaded nuts from Albany County Fasteners. They performed admirably in my marine dock construction project. In the past I have had difficulty finding these stainless items in the big box stores and when I did they were quite expensive. Albany has an extensive inventory and pricing is very competitive. They are also extremely fast in shipping. read more
