I usually have great experiences at Albasha. This was my first time at this location. It was clean and not very busy. I ordered a water, the waitress brought out a tea. I didn't say anything. Then we ordered an appetizer as well as two entrees. She forgot the appetizer completely. My gyro plate was cold and my fiancé's shrimp Alfredo had four (4) shrimp total and not much pasta. She only brought out two (2) pieces of pita bread, which we finished quickly. She never checked on us after bringing the food out, and we sat there for about 10-15 minutes wanting more pita bread. By the time she came back, we asked for a box and the check. We really wanted to try a dessert but figured it wasn't worth the trouble at that point. I ended up bringing the check to the register myself because she had sat at a table on the other side of the restaurant, talking to two people. She didn't say anything as we paid and left. read more

We are used to eating at Albashas in Baton Rouge which is amazing but we decided to try this one on the way out of town... the ambiance is nice it's very clean and bathrooms are well maintained. The service was very good but unfortunately the food was super bland. The dressing on the salad was not the same as the original and tasted like they may have used old pre/peeled garlic. The pasta that's usually is super flavorful was also super bland. The chicken was dry and zero seasoning. Gyros was okay but it's hard to mess that up. If you are expecting same good Albashas as Baton Rouge you will be disappointed. I only have 3 stars for the service and ambiance. read more

Albasha Greek & Lebanese Restaurant Highway 22 never disappoints! It is rapidly becoming one of our Northshore favorites. My wife and I lunched there today and had a great meal made entirely of appetizers. Our favorite, the Mediterranean humus, plus spinach pie and fried cheese. Nice ambiance. Waitress was ok. Food was mediocre. My son's food was good. Some of my fries were old and food was quite greasy.

Great gyros sandwich. Have them put the meat on the griddle, for a little char. Great fries as well and plenty to eat!

Always a great spot to pick up Gyro meat and chicken schwarma! Portions are huge and flavor is on spot!

I had such a wonderful experience here! I have allergies to nuts and sesame seeds, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I felt safe and cared for. They made a whole new batch of rice, special for me without nut or sesame ingredients. The men working there were so kind and accommodating. Yum! Stopped by and got an order to-go. Wow! This is really good food. It's not a cheap meal but you get a ton of food for the price. I ate 3 times off my Albasha Platter with chicken shawarma and gyro. All of it was very tasty! The feta salad is yummy. I can't believe I forgot to take a photo of the platter! The amount of chicken shawarma and gyro was unbelievable! Huge servings! It comes with hummus, rice, and tzatziki sauce, and the feta salad. Yes, tzatziki! I really like tahini which comes more often on these platters BUT I LOVE tzatziki and I'm thrilled they give you a large portion! This tzatziki was divine! This place is the worst Albasha.. Ordered 2 chicken shawarma to go and chicken had no seasoning or flavor and was dry. Bread was hard to open and hard. Lettuce was bad and rotten. Seems like there prices went up to.... $48 for 2 chicken plates. Thanks for wasting my money. read more

SHRINKFLATION IS ALIVE AT THIS BUSINESS!! I will admit the food is good!! It's definitely not Houston, TX good!! Problem I have with this business is the fact they are overpriced for amount of food you receive. My Meat Moussaka entree was $18.00 and served on a small dinner plate. Half this plate consisted of a feta cheese salad that had no feta cheese. Just a bed of lettuce covered in yogurt sauce with one olive. I was literally served a dollop of rice and my meat moussaka was very very small. I asked for chili paste--what every Asian and Mediterranean restaurant has on the table and they charged me a $1.00 for the paste. Never mentioned anything about it costing anything extra. Very very dissatisfied with the service and portion sizes. Will not be returning!! I could have gotten the same thing on the south-side for about 12 dollars. read more

Went there while in Covington, the name caught my eye while driving and i just had to try! Lunch time was a bit busy and it took a few minutes before i was seated. Wait staff is friendly and helpful. I tried the moussaka and it did not disappoint! The salad dressing was perfect as well as the amount of food. Can't wait to visit again and try the "famous chicken shawarma"!! read more

The out side of the restaurant looks a lot smaller than it is. when we went inside we were surprised on how spacious and very welcoming the restaurant is. The staff was absolutely excellent! Such friendly and fast service. The food was amazing! I like Albasha chains, but this one is far the best I've been to. We found out that not all Albasha's carry lamb shank on their menu. My husband was very excited to know that this particular menu does offer the lamb shank, and it was fall off the bone tender! I highly recommend this place. We plan on coming back every time we come to Covington. read more

Albasha has this personality about it when you feel like you're stepping into Lebanon or Greece. From the music to the staff to the food, it's an excellent experience. Albasha thrives in dining in and take out for its quick and delicious meals. Shawarma is unbeatable , be it chicken or gyro. No matter what you order, even the appetizers can fill up a grown man. There's something about their formula, their approach, that is just unmatched to any other restaurant. The seasonings aren't intrusive to the western pallet, the food comes out alarmingly quick , and the server's philosophy is anything for the guests. I've seen business owners have meetings here just because they have an area for large parties, so they love to take advantage of the quick hot meal and a separate area to discuss business matters. We've been to two other Albasha locations and they are always delicious but this one is my favorite! We went for a quick lunch and got just that. Service was great, food was fast and delicious and the owner( I think it was the owner) brought us a sample of freshly made shrimp soup that was so good. Our server asked our names at the end of our meal and tried to remember them because we told him we'd be back. So sweet!! read more
