Mom and I have gone a few times recently and the food is amazing, service is excellent, and they are very fast from order time to food on the table. We shared the chicken shawarma plate and ordered the cabbage rolls and sautéed mushrooms as side items. They have good iced tea as well. Plate was a large oval plate that came with chicken, salad, rice, hummus, and pita. Cabbage rolls have rice, beef, and I'm told cardamom for a warm spice in your mouth. They are divine. We had rolled grape leaves once and they are good but I enjoy the cabbage rolls more. Pita is good, hummus is very creamy and delightful on the palate. Felafel is hot and fresh as well. We, my coworkers and I, went here for lunch. Its in a convenient location, the store is clean and bright. The restroom was clean. I don't know if I like the door to get to the door, a little creepy, but that could just be me. The restroom was clean and there's a baby changing table in there for you mom's. The food is plentiful, everyone seemed to enjoy their food. I had the spinach pie which was delicious and the falafel...that was my 1st time having the falafel. It was different. I placed an order for pickup and the food smelled amazing upon entering the restaurant. The restaurant is also nicely decorated and the service was great. On the drive home, my mouth watered in anticipation of tasting the food. The food looked great and smelled great but tasted very bland. We had the Stuffed Grape Leaves, Chicken Shawarma Plate, Rack of Lamb and Pita Bread. The Lebanese Tea was pretty good, probably the 2nd best I've ever had...and I've had a lot of Lebanese Tea. Came here because I used to frequent the location in Metairie but decided to try this location. I had to say the staff were nice. Decor and inside is cozy. I got the bowl of lentil soup and it honestly had no flavor so i had to add salt. The hummus was alright. The reason for the 3 stars is because we're charged for a bowl of greek soup instead of a cup like we had received. Made me feel like I was being taken advantage of. read more

BEWARE They will charge you extra sur charges and extra tip to your bill. My daughter and I paid on separate tabs. Between the two of us we paid an extra $60 dollars just on extra charges. Rude! Fraud! And basic Theft! Please beware. We eat in and take out from Albasha regularly and normally can overlooked their inconsistencies and down right rude behavior. Today I order 2 sides of grilled onions for our salads. When I arrived to pick up I checked my bag and notified the staff that there was only 1 side of onions. She apologized and went on back to correct the error. I could hear loud voices then she returned with 2 containers and an odd look on her face. I decided to open the containers only to learn that the kitchen didn't give me a 2nd side they divided the single side and placed into 2 containers. Are you serious I asked? The server could tell that it was done and I asked her to please go get the 2nd side of onions I ordered and paid for please. She hesitated and said she didn't want to get yelled at!! Shocking!! That is unacceptable behavior to treat their staff like that and basically commit fraud or theft towards me taking money for something they did not deliver. If the kitchen staff is ownership that's embarrassing and every patron needs to rethink visiting albasha in slidell ever again. I will be reporting this incident to the appropriate state agencies and possibly federal agencies that can protect employees from this type of abuse. I will never return! I ate everything on my plate plus some of my mom's and dad's and on top of that I had a phenomenal lentil soup which was just what I needed for my uneasy stomach after all that we ordered a baklava cheesecake that's right. The inside is nice. I love the water features when you first walk in. The lighting and ambience are pleasant. The fried cheese was amazing! Lots of oil but full of flavor and good for dipping the pita in. I got the Moussaka and a friend got the lamb shank. The lamb didn't look appetizing (when i first saw it, it looked like refried beans) but it melted in your mouth like butter!! I got the spiked strawberry lemonade and it was good. Couldn't taste any alcohol in it but sometimes that's not a bad thing. I would definitely come here again. Service was good as well. read more

We always order the Mediterranean Hummus, a creamy blend of Garbanzo beans dressed with sun- dried tomatoes, pickled garlic, kalamata olives. Feta, olive oil and tomatoes. To die for! And I don't know what special juju they do the their chicken but, it's so freaking good especially when I get it with the Feta Salad. The Taboule is good. The fried cheese, omg, have you had fried Haloumi cheese? I'm no fan of cheesesticks but these aren't your same old boring breaded mozzerella sticks with marinara. So good. You'd think as many times as we've come here, I'd have tons of pics. But nah.... I am too busy focusing on eating. Alabasha in Slidell has never disappointed us.
