Chicken shwarma and gyro combo platter
    Beth S.

This was delicious! And it was a lot of food!! I got the chicken shwarma and gyro combo platter with a Lebanese tea. It was all so so good!! I tried my best to finish my platter, haha, but I could not manage it. The tea was wonderful. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. We really like her. The interior is cute. It's kid-friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I placed an order for pickup and the food smelled amazing upon entering the restaurant. The restaurant is also nicely decorated and the service was great. On the drive home, my mouth watered in anticipation of tasting the food. The food looked great and smelled great but tasted very bland. We had the Stuffed Grape Leaves, Chicken Shawarma Plate, Rack of Lamb and Pita Bread. The Lebanese Tea was pretty good, probably the 2nd best I've ever had...and I've had a lot of Lebanese Tea. All of that say, I'd still recommend this place. The food wasn't bad at all, it just wasn't as flavorful as we were hoping.

Came here because I used to frequent the location in Metairie but decided to try this location. I had to say the staff were nice. Decor and inside is cozy. I got the bowl of lentil soup and it honestly had no flavor so i had to add salt. The hummus was alright. The reason for the 3 stars is because we're charged for a bowl of greek soup instead of a cup like we had received. Made me feel like I was being taken advantage of.

Time has passed and I have dined in here a few times. No regrets. The servers and staff are very friendly and engaged. They answer my questions and make recommendations if I want to try something new. The dining room is bright and clean and not cramped. The food has consistently been very good. There are still lots of menu items I haven't had a chance to try yet so I will be coming back. Still highly recommended.

I love Greek food and this find in Slidell is amazing! The ambiance is really nice whether you are there for a quick bite or a date night. The portions are full and savory. We got the dinner for two that had a bit of everything. They also have a full bar with specialty beers and wine

Celiacs, rejoice! There's a spot in town for us…read more My husband is Jewish and has wanted to try Tavi for awhile. The problem is we live in Houston and only come to the area to see my parents twice every year. On our final night, he said he wanted to go to Tavi. Wish granted. We got a reservation on Open Table (highly recommend) and headed that way. Will was our server (and was also the bartender). He was incredible. He explained how the kitchen has a dedicated fryer for gluten-free items so celiacs and gluten intolerant folks won't react. Words cannot express how much that means to us. Additionally, they could do the fried chicken hummus and use rice flour to bread it instead of wheat. We ordered it. Upon arrival, it was so incredibly good. They brought fresh vegetables (crudite) to use instead of pita (it's $8, but they are homegrown and fresh). My husband, who can have all the gluten in the world, enjoyed his with pita. He put it on his plate. The pita also came with olive oil and is made in house. You can watch them bake it in the wood-fired oven. The pita is also the base for the flatbreads. When it came time to order our real food, I got the shrimp and subbed couscous for the rice. It was like a fried Israeli rice with pistachios. Lots of crunch and excellent. The shrimp came in a New Orleans style bbq sauce. I could have drank just the sauce (and taken some years off of my life cause it was butter). My husband had the lamb shawarma since they were half off on Saturday. His came with fries. He was so impressed. If you come and split an appetizer, you could easily split a shawarma. The portions are huge (not on the shrimp, though). You definitely need reservations if you have a larger party. It's not too loud inside, but there's ongoing chatter in the background. I'd also recommend planning on staying at least an hour. They won't rush around. Parking can be a pain, so allow extra time for that. We will definitely be back!!

The music added an interesting touch to the overall dining experience. The service was fairly good--our waitress was polite and checked in periodically, though she did disappear for stretches of time, which us in a left a bit of a gap in attentiveness. But, when she returned, she was helpful and accommodating. The food was very enjoyable overall. One standout was the Lebanese tea, which, even without the pine nuts, had a great flavor and was a highlight of the meal. Most of the dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, though the chicken in the Shawarma plate was a little dry. Despite that, the generous portions and authentic flavors made the meal satisfying. Lastly, I believe this place delivers a welcoming ambience, friendly service with room for a little more consistency, and delicious food with a few small areas for improvement. I'd gladly return, especially for the tea and the relaxed atmosphere.

Not only did my sisters and I drive over an hour and a half for this food, it was completely worth it. I have never had a better experience at a shawarma place and I love chicken shawarma. The service was fast and amazing. The ambiance was also nice and quaint. We all ordered their cheesy spicy chicken shawarma wraps which comes with this creamy sauce (reminded me of spicy hummus) and this spicy Asian type sauce. Both were delicious and paired perfectly with our wraps. Their wrap was hot, so crispy, stuffed with chicken and cheese, and incredible. I would have ordered another one if I hadn't been so full. They are very long also and a great size to fill you up. If you're hungry and looking to be blown away by amazing food, look no more.
