Ever just seen the sign for a restaurant and without even trying it you instinctually know it'll be fantastic? Welcome to Albelo's Sub Shop. I've had this place bookmarked to try for months and finally had it today. It did not disappoint! Shoestring fries with just the right amount of seasoning/perfect crispy freshness and a large pressed cubano was my lunch. The ladies running the show were friendly and helpful. When I say this Cuban was Stupid Good, this is what I mean: have you ever eaten something so good you involuntarily make noises that sound like awesome bedroom stuff is happening? Yeah?! Embarrassing. Who cares though cus it's so damn good! 10 out of 10. I'm coming back sooner than I should. Don't skip this place. The ONLY thing I'd recommend that could possibly make this place better? Seed oil free mayo/cooking oil, etc and beef tallow fries! I'd pay extra for same items if Albelo decides to go full on MAHA here. Just my 2 cents! read more

My son and I had been working in the yard and were pretty hungry. We had both heard good things about Albelo's but had yet to try it, so we took the plunge. It didn't disappoint. Neither of us were in the mood for a bunch of bread, so I know that a sandwich spot seems like an odd choice, but Albelo's had us covered. Many of their sandwiches can be served as a "protein bowl" so we opted to do that with their Philly Steak. You cannot do that with all of their sandwiches, which we learned after a slightly awkward back and forth between us, the cashier, and the chef. But we landed on something that was satisfactory and both the chef and the cashier expressed care that my son and I were happy with our choice. The place is a little small and indoor seating is limited, so keep that on your radar. But the food was fantastic and both my son and I resolved that we need to go back and try other options on the menu. read more

Brand new to this location. Super nice and made fresh. Great local sandwich shop. The shopping center has a Publix full remodel going on so parking is tough currently. I am rooting for them to make it thru the construction. Once Publix opens it will be much easier to get here. I just ordered my first sub. I will post updates. So far so good. They are settling in to this spot. I ordered a sandwich to go but i will have a bite now so i can post a review of the sandwich. I ordered The Equestrian sub off the Favorites menu. Ok i took a bite of the sub and decided to stay and eat the whole thing. It was so good. She toasts the bread so it was a super cruchy fresh roll. So yumm. The pepper relish mixed with the mayo and dressing so you end up getting this creamy sauce that's perfect in this sandwich. I spoke with the owner. So nice!!! The fries here are perfectly done. The different sauces, all homemade, you can add are always fun to try. There are homemade cookies and desserts. I don't go as often as I'd like because I always seem to remember around 3pm and they close. Worth the trip. You have to get the buffalo sauce...it's super delicious to dip fries in. read more

The food was very plain, the service was extremely slow. Would definitely suggest the Publix Deli in the same plaza before here.

This place is a true gem! I ate the tripleta sandwich which is a classic puerto rican sandwich and it was amazing! The service is great too! I am happy to support good places like this one! read more

We were on 75 going back home from Chgo.. stopped for a sub sandwich, what a great delicious sub!! .. we were not alone- 6 other people drivin thru stopped and everyone said how yummy the sandwiches are.. very nice owners .. even came out with a bowl of water for our pup . read more

Over priced!! French onion soup was beef broth and a tons of hard undercooked onions. There was no cheese or crusty bread. The cook is over stressed and always looks angry. Don't bother spending your hard earned money here! French at Longhorn's Steak House is done right and very delicious. Same shopping center, great atmosphere, and friendly waitstaff. read more

Don't let the Publix construction deter you from this new spot. Sandwiches were hot and fresh and the staff is very friendly.

First let me say I always forget to take a picture of the food when I am here. I'm alway so excited for their delicious subs. My son makes weekly requests to visit. I did get the opportunity to meet one of the owners. He was kind and I could tell he takes pride in his business! I'll try to remember to get a few pictures next time. I go to Albelos at least once a week. It's become my favorite part of grocery shopping-stop in for the best buffalo chicken tender sub and then go to Publix (listen-this sub is better than a Pub Sun any day-I said it) and I won't take it back. The service is excellent, and it's all made fresh. Give it a try! read more

The subs we got were delicious and very well made. We tried the Italian, Cuban, and Steak and Cheese. We also got an order of the carnita fries! I've been searching for a sub place since moving here to Ocala, originally from Massachusetts. The food was made promptly after ordering and didn't take long at all. The store was well kept and clean. Will definitely be going back to try more things from the menu. Highly recommend. read more

Owner and staff so friendly. Between the 4 of us we had 3 different sandwiches. Fried green tomato BLT, Meatball sub and Steak and cheese. All were awesome! Definitely great food, not frozen and reheated items. Will be a regular rotation in the places we visit. read more

Ordered from here for the 1st time today. Got the Cuban and their shoestring fries with roasted garlic aioli dipping sauce. OMG.....all sooooo good!!! Super delish!!! Best Cuban I've ever had, and the fries were so crispy!! They are great on their own, but that garlic aioli was amazing!! I will definitely be ordering from here again!!!! read more
