A great place to have great mediterranean/Greek style food in Ocala Cava is a fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant chain. It is known for fresh, customizable bowls, salads, and pitas with Greek/Mediterranean-inspired flavors. It started in 2006 in Rockville, Maryland. As of 2026, Cava has roughly 440-460 locations across about 30 states and Washington, D.C..I had heard about it from some friends at work and as we were travelling we saw one of their locations in Ocala. I am glad that we did. It reminds me of a Mediterranean Chipotle. This particular location had a drive through and dine-in option. The parking was a little limited. The store is designed so that you start at one side of a line and work your way down the line to the cashier choosing you options of preset orders or build-your-own. I tried a steak and feta pita with a side of pita chips. Both were excellent and were reasonably priced for good food. The drinks are an assortment of serve-yourself unique flavors like cucumber mint lime and Tangerine Alepo. Both of which tasted very good. The staff was very pleasant. The restaurant had a limited number of seats inside. It was very busy so be patient as the the quantity and the quality of food are well worth the price and the wait. read more

I was so excited to get this place in Ocala. My first time here was a lousy customer service experience. I ordered online for the pick up window. Got an alert my food was ready and pulled up within 5 minutes. Sat there forever without a greeting. Staff looked at me and kept walking. No acknowledgment, no, "We'll be right with you" - nothing. I started really staring at them which eventually worked. They asked my name, no greeting, no thanks for waiting, no apology. I waited 10 minutes. Had I not already paid online I would've driven off. The girl in the yellow hair wrap begrudgingly handed me my food as if I offended her for my mere existence. The manager or owner needs to send these people to customer boot camp and start writing them up. Their annoyed facial expressions alone are offensive. They are now what I see when I think of Cava. Was the food good? Yes. They, however, are a dumpster fire. If you don't care how people treat you, and don't mind waiting a long time for food that is already done and simply waiting on a shelf, this place might be for you. read more

We love falafel, so my wife got the Falafel Crunch Bowl and I got the Crispy Falafel Pita. Both were very good. The ingredients and sauces were delicious. I also got to taste one lamb meatball--very good. We will return and with more familiarity we will build our own entrees rather than use the suggested combinations. There is a plethora of ingredients and sauces to experiment with. Next time I will definitely order the Spicy Lamb and Avocado Bowl. My wife said she will order the falafel again in some form. The restaurant had just opened for the day and it was spotlessly clean. The store is new. Open only a month. Some employees seemed to still be in training. My only caution concerns the falafel. Cavas falafel is tasty, but once cooked it must be served almost immediately. It doesn't do well on the steam table. Make sure yours is fresh. read more

Only reason why the rating is so low is that the food and portion size vary A LOT. I could go one day and have the food be the best I've ever tasted and the next everything be overly salted or bland. The amount of food provided also varies to such a degree that on some days it looks like I ordered double rice and meat, and other days it looks like I ordered a half portion of both which makes it incredibly frustrating when ordering here. This day was one of the stingiest days I ever had the displeasure to experience. Literally saw them shake out some food as they were filling my bowl and had chipotle flashbacks. All the toppings were very bland, but the grilled chicken was admittedly seasoned perfectly. Used to love the harissa chicken but after one time of having it taste like it was dunked in straight honey I can not eat it again. Affordable priced which is the only reason I risk coming back every time but this is not someplace where I can confidently recommend to people. Go at your own risk. read more

It's cafeteria style service as you move down a prep line and tell the servers what you want and it's prepared in front of you. Prices are reasonable. Servers were friendly and helpful. Sucked! Staff was kinda rude considering it was our first time and we knew nothing about their ordering process. I guess it's grains or greens unlike most fast casual where u have both. I said I'll pay and still they seemed annoyed. Sprinkles of stuff you ask for...example I had to say "more please" like 3x for a normal amount of feta. And then when I ordered extra pita there was an issue to ask for it cut into quarters! I guess they don't have knives yet they give u a quarter pita with the salad! Expensive and not worth it. I live out of state and I placed an order for delivery for my disabled mother since it is her birthday and sure enough the driver didn't delivery the order. I reach out to support and tell them my mother has not received order, they say DoorDash delivered it and immediately dismissed me even when I told them my mothers security cameras showed no presence of people on her property today. Just wanted to surprise my mom with lunch for her birthday and ended up with losing out on $50 since some idiotic person couldn't do their job properly. I won't even spend my money here again. Loads of people were having the same issue and no apologies from any of the staff. The 2 people ahead of me received their food and said it was supposed to be ready 45 minutes earlier.
