I found NCSA online and reached out to Paul to see what hosting a party with him and his team would look like. I didn't know where to start besides offering up if he had any ideas for kids birthday parties. The whole process of planning the party with Paul was seamless. He was extremely helpful and communicative throughout the entire planning process and was flexible with me when more and more kids were RSVPing yes to the party! He ended up securing three coaches including himself to oversee the wiffle ball, soccer and basketball stations. We had 30 kids at the party and all the kids had a blast! We received really positive feedback from the parents on how well organized and unique the party was to have the coaches there teaching the kids new skills while playing games and scrimmages. I would 100% recommend working with Paul and his team for future birthdays and will definitely sign up for the camps NCSA offers during the summer break!

My 8 year old was a little old for the 5-7 program, but Coach allowed him to still participate since there were other 7 year olds in it. He had such a great time! It was a very positive environment, Coach gave good tips to improve technique, and his assistant coaches were kind and talented; I think they were high school kids who play on teams. It's always great to see older kids investing time in the younger generation. I highly recommend this program!

I spoke with Coach Donald Duck (Doug), and he was incredibly kind and willing to come out to our neighborhood to host a class. Unlike other programs we have tried that required a minimum number of participants, Coach Doug's main focus was simply teaching and coaching the kids. His passion really shines through. He is wonderful with the children. He is friendly, kind, and even a little silly to keep them engaged, while still having the right balance of discipline. He teaches the kids to listen, follow directions, and be kind to one another. Best of all, he actually teaches them real skills for the sport. It is not just running around. He designs fun games that incorporate the skills they are learning, which keeps the kids excited and motivated. Overall, Phoenix Sports has been such a positive experience for our family. We are definitely planning to continue with them and cannot wait to try out the other sports they offer.

Overall, my kids did OK, but I could tell it wasn't something they could do for more than 1 day. I opted to not proceed with the camp, but was told there was nothing they could do for me to give me a refund. I can understand if you need to manage staffing, but if you're allowing people to book the night before, clearly its not a staffing issue, you're just unwilling to give parents their money back. I wouldn't recommend booking more than 1 day at a time.

On Friday nights they offer Kids Nights Out and Kids Day Out on Saturday afternoons. It's a great option to get a few hours kid free. It include pizza and the kids will expend their energy as they are kept active, jumping on the bungies, trampolines etc. It's a win win! Staff are flexible, responsive and super helpful!

Each program is designed to aid children who need assistance in developing and growing their social skills, and our son has been making leaps and bounds since starting here! Our son has Asperger's syndrome, and Anna has been wonderful in working with him. We did all of our homework, and her credentials all check out (which is something that we always do before working with a service provider.) Both of our boys come for LEGO club, and both of them look forward to it each week, even though we get up fairly early each Saturday to get there. LEGO club proved to be an excellent starting point for the boys, and allowed them to really grow comfortable in the setting before we got the PEERS program set up for our eldest. Now, to the details: the facility is absolutely beautiful. Build inside a dual use location in Carlsbad, the downstairs is set up for the program. Tastefully decorated, it is fun, light, and airy, with plenty of slightly subdued colors that look delightful without being overwhelming. There are plenty of toys, and the collection of LEGO's is constantly expanding. There is a good mix of special needs and typical children, which allows for real interactions that are all supervised and directed by Anna and her staff. Everyone is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accepting. We truly could not be happier! Would I recommend her to family and friends? Absolutely, and have already gone out of my way to do so. If you have a child that is struggling with social interactions, if you have a child who needs a boost, if you have a child who just doesn't quite get it, this is the place to go. We have already seen honest-to-goodness measurable improvements (which as an aside is something that is also done through the PEERS program.) In summary, this program is excellent and Anna makes it all seem so easy. And, if I'm honest, I've probably picked up a pointer or two for applying in my own life as well.

I…read moredon't know how Army and Navy Academy (ANA) does it, but within two months they transformed him from a teenager influenced by "red pill" voices insisting school was pointless--and that stealing, dealing, and hustling were the keys to success--into a respectful, motivated, disciplined young man who communicates openly and reaches out for support when he needs it. Before ANA, we spent 18 months trying everything: DBT therapy, family systems therapy, private boys coaching, and multiple specialized retreats for struggling teens. None of it helped. In fact, many interventions pushed him even farther away from his best self. ANA, on the other hand, grounded him almost immediately. Now he's on the Dean's List, was voted Best Artist, and loves attending ANA. The other day, I nearly cried when I heard him tell his grandmother, "It's a privilege to attend ANA." His commanding officer captured the essence of the school after a minor infraction: "We are not a reform school. We are not a therapeutic boarding school. We are an elite preparatory academy developing the future leaders of the world. You decide if you belong here." And somehow, through the teachers, counselors, structure, activities, and community, my son decided for himself that he does belong there. ANA gave my son his future back. We are grateful beyond words.

The fun starts at the bus pick up and at the end of the day your kiddo gets home happy and tired. The staff here really goes above and beyond and puts so much effort into what they do. There are weekly special events and fun themes that make the kids excited to come back every day. Crazy hair day and tie dyeing were favorites in our house this summer! Next summer our family will plan our vacation around the Keystone schedule because our daughter doesn't want to miss a day!

However, when we received the flyer in the mail for Keystone, she loved it. There are so many nice options and she loves being able to choose what she does during the four different "sessions" of the day. She swims every day as well. The security is excellent, you have to show ID to pick up your child, Love that! In addition all the counselors are in the pool except one that is playing games with the kids who are not swimming that day. They test the kids daily to make sure they are in good shape to swim. All in all: A+ for niceness, fun, safety, and variation. I signed her up for two weeks this year but may increase to four weeks next year. The director, Mike is awesome and clearly puts his heart into this camp. Bravo.
