As someone with significant dental anxiety and past dental trauma, I am always incredibly nervous walking through the door. From the very first phone call this morning, I was treated with genuine kindness and compassion. The woman who helped schedule my appointment was so reassuring and made me feel like I was in good hands before I even arrived. Dr. Tim and his assistant, Maria, were absolutely amazing. They were calm, patient, comforting, and took the time to make sure I felt safe throughout the entire procedure. They never made me feel rushed or judged, and their kindness helped ease a fear I've carried for years. What could have been a terrifying experience ended up being one of the most positive dental visits I've ever had. I'm so grateful for this experience and this office. I never had that problem to any significant degree prior. We're talking... big time. For months, actually. I've had others suggest that perhaps their instruments were not being properly sanitized. I can't say that's true or untrue. What I do know is: when I went in again to get my front teeth fixed, they were confused apparently, and tried to make a mold of my upper, left side molars instead. I let them know, well, fine, just a mix-up. Okay. So they did the mold on my upper front teeth, left it too long, and when they pulled it out, it really hurt and ended up breaking more of my front right incisor. That really upset me. That they have, typically (at least the 3 times I was there) an advertisement in their waiting room for a "chance to win a vacation if you give us a positive review" speaks volumes of their actual competence. That means a lot of the positive reviews here on Yelp. People just hoping to win something. It's pretty shameful. I would recommend finding an actual dentist who knows what they're doing and doesn't try to bribe you into giving them a good review here. I'd give them 0 stars if I could.

The procedure itself felt incredibly forceful--he used a hammer and chisel technique that was highly traumatic and left me feeling like my jaw had been fractured. Following the surgery, I experienced severe, uncontrolled bleeding that lasted from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. despite following all post-op instructions. When I sought help, Dr. Patel dismissed the severity of the situation as "normal" and told me to just bite on tea packets, leaving me to deal with hours of continuous bleeding on my own without proper clinical intervention. Furthermore, the excessive force used resulted in a nerve injury. I suffered from complete numbness in my jaw, teeth, and tongue on that side for 4 to 5 months after the procedure. While my sensation eventually returned, the lack of support and the reckless approach to the surgery was completely unacceptable. If you are looking for a gentle, attentive oral surgeon who provides proper post-operative care, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.
