Back in 1991, Naval dentists had done poor quality work and filled teeth that didn't need to be filled based on a "just in case" excuse. Well, as the years went by, I moved to Santa Clarita. Cavities had formed under the fillings and as a result of the poor work done by the Navy and I was in a lot of pain and needed a lot of work done to fix it up. In 2002, I went for an emergency dentist appointment due to teeth breaking and excruciating pain. This is where I was worked on by Dr. Perry when he worked at a dental office in Saugus. He did such great work that the owner of the office would call his other dentists over to my chair to see the quality work Dr. Perry had done on me. There was NO PAIN when Dr. Perry worked on me. Later Dr. Perry started his own practice in Oxnard. That's a little more than an hour away from home for me. Dr. Perry cleans my whole family's teeth every 6 months. He takes all four of us at the same time, and has even held his office open late to accommodate us, because he knows just how far we travel to be worked on by him. He's a very nice guy, very accommodating, and best of all - there's NO PAIN, EVER!!! I can't say too much about how great it is to be worked on by Dr. Perry. I've told him I'd follow him wherever his practice takes him, and I mean that!

Maya was the most gentle xray technician I have ever had and even offered numbing paste because I told her the bite wings always really hurt me. They have the newest and nicest technology so there are very few xrays they even need to take with very minimal radiation. Dr. Nicholas Young is the sweetest, most compassionate dentist I've met. I let him know the dentist at Estetic Smiles made my last cleaning so uncomfortable and painful that I had to swicth dentists and never go back, it literally hurt for 72 hours even after the cleaning. He listened and gave advice when I asked on an electric toothrush, whitening tooth paste and white strips, he is so knowledgeable and the cleaning itself was a breeze. He was gentle but thorough and didn't hurt me at all. I went home knowing I would never see another dentist besides him again and couldn't wait to share with my family and friends how wonderful he is. I will definitely recommend everyone i know.

First, the receptionist always greets me warmly when I walk in. They let you know how much you'll end up paying--if anything--upfront, and you electronically sign forms consenting to payment, cleaning, etc. Because I crave staining food and drinks, I try to stay on top of brushing, flossing, and my dental checkups. When I first started going here, the dentist informed me I had the beginning of periodontal disease. So I tried to step up my oral hygiene game (do you know how long 2 minutes is? Whether it's brushing your teeth or running on a treadmill, it's forever). Anyway, this place is fantastic because they had me coming in every 3 months for a cleaning to slow down my periodontal disease. Then they informed me I now only need to come in every six months since this past year. That saved me money and made me trust this place even more. They have also repaired a chip on my tooth, and everyone from the receptionist to the dental hygienists and dentist is very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The only downside is that I need an itemized receipt for my health spending account. While I understand they can't provide it immediately, they informed me they would email me a copy the following day or the beginning of the following week. This rarely happens, and I have to call them to email me the itemized receipt. Although I understand their busy schedules, three calls on the same day were necessary before they finally emailed the promised itemized receipt from the day before. I plan to keep this original, pearly white set of chompers with the current owner as long as possible. Thank you, Main Street Dental, for making that a reality - so far.

They recently upgraded their Pano to a 3D CT and when I asked the doctor about anticipated storage requirements for the 3D he told me the expected number of 3D scans was going to be much lower than I expected. and I said "You're not going to scan everyone?" he said "Hell, no!" "CT scans product more radiation than simple x-rays and we don't want to expose our patients to any more radiation than absolutely necessary." I didn't consider that, but it opened up my eyes to the thoughtfulness that the Doctors pay attention to when treating their patients. These aren't the things people talk about or look for in reviews so I thought people should know.

Plus his staff is incredibly nice and caring. Everyone makes you feel like you've been coming there for years even if it's your first time. Dr. Goldenberg was open minded and attentive. She listened to what I've been going through with unexplained mouth/ face pain (for several months). I was there to eliminate that it might still be dental related. She did some x rays and even offered to do some extra steps to try to help. The office is relaxed and has a nice atmosphere. I called and requested that they look at the crown to see what happened, and they said I had to pay $100 just to have the defective crown examined. They told me there's no warranty at all on their crowns, even if it broke 1 week later!! A quality crown that is done correctly should last 15-20 years. Why go to a dentist that doesn't stand behind their work? I do not recommend.
